Applejack and Rainbow smiled at eachother.

"This is really great", Rainbow said. She looked down at the chalk art on the floor. It was a black and yellow swallowtail butterfly.

"Thanks", Applejack said. "Ah learned how ta do this from mah dad. He's really good at this".

Applejack wraps her arms around Rainbow's waist and brings her closer. The blonde kisses her cheek.

Rainbow laughed. "Now I have chalk on me".

Applejack grinned. The two stare into eachother's eyes. "Good".

Time stops. Like everything around me, is frozen. And nothing matters but these, few moments when you. My mind to things I've never seen.

Applejack wrapped her arms around Rainbow's waist. Rainbow was unsure but she looked into Applejack's eyes and her doubts faded away. She let Applejack lean in and kiss her.

Cause when I'm kissin you my senses come alive. Almost like the puzzle piece I'm been tryna find. Falls right into place you're all that it takes. My doubts fade away when I'm kissin you. Cause when I'm kissin you it all starts making sense. And all the questions I've been askin in my head.

Rainbow felt her walls break down slowly. She didn't completely give herself in. She had to guard her hesrt. She would not be made an idiot again.

Past loves, they never got very far. And walls up. Make sure I guarded my heart.

Rainbow sighed. She looked at the locker in her hands. It was given to one of her exes. She had lost it a few years ago. It was after they had broken up. They had broken up because the chick had cheated on her and so they broke up with Rainbow. She then promised that she wouldn't let herself fall in love so easily again. She still even had her doubts about Applejack.
And now I promised, I wouldn't do this. Till I knew it was right for me.

Rainbow felt arms wrap around her waist.

"Is that what ah think it is??".

Rainbow nodded. "Yeah. Spitfire gave this to me. I just found it. Hm. I lost this a long time ago".

Applejack frowned and looked at her. She could see the hurt in Rainbow's eyes, just looking at the reminder of her heart being broken once more. Applejack knew what Spitfire had done and she knew, not by Rainbow telling her but my just realizing it, that Rainbow wasn't trusting herbwoth her heart completely. She had been hurt many times before in past relationships and Applejack understood. She just had to make Rainbow see that she wouldn't leave her or hurt her.

But noone, noone that I've met before. Could make me, feel so right and secure.

"What's on your mind??", Applejack asked, turning Rainbow around.

Rainbow shrugged, looking down at the locket.

"It's just. I don't know what's wrong with me. Every time I date someone and they get to my heart...... they break it. Is it me??. Am I doing something wrong??".

Rainbow began to question herself. Was she just not meant to be loved??.

"Rainbow. You're crazy".

Rainbow looked up at her.

"It's not you. You're amazing. Your exes were just stupid an blind not ta see what they lef' behind".

Rainbow smiled. Took her hands.

"Ah wouldn't do that. Ah know you've been hurt and ah wanna be the one that stays. You gotta let in. Ah love you. Ah really do and you know that. So".

She took the locket out of Rainbow's hands. She wrapped her arms around her waist. The blonde leaned in and kissed her. Rainbow immediately kissed back. All doubts and fears erased from her mind.

And have you noticed. I lose my focus. And the world around me disappears.

She felt secure in Applejack's arms. She felt loved and knew that Applejack was telling the truth as she melted into the soft kiss.

Rainbow looked at Applejack, then back at the waves.

"Ready??", Applejack asks. Rainbow nodded.

Rainbow gripped the locket in her hand. She turned to the water. Gathering all the strength she had she threw it as far she could into the ocean. She watched it fly into the water, gone forever.

She stared at the waved. Suddenly she felt something around her neck. Looking down she saw a necklace being placed around her neck.

She turned around and looked at Applejack. The blonde brought her close.

"This time. This one's gunna stay around your neck and you're gunna stay in mah arms".

No point even tryin to fight this. It kinda feels like it's loooove.

Rainbow felt the walls around her heart finally crumble. She smiled.

"Okay".

Applejack touched her cheek. Slowly she leaned in and kissed her. Rainbow kissed back, smiling into the kiss. She felt something she hadn't felt with her past lovers. When she kissed Applejack, she felt more alive than she ever did. She felt the sparks that everyone said she would feel. She felt loved and whole.

They pulled apart and smiled. Rainbow giggled. They touched foreheads and stared into eachother's eyes.
