"Where are you Rainbow??".

Applejack hurried out to the park. Rainbow's favorite place was the park. She ran and ran, her feet flying on the sidewalk.

The park was in sight. Applejack ran faster than she ever had. She could have cried of joy when she spotted a patch of skittled-colored hair.

Running across the street, she was sure she would have gotten hit by a car because she wasn't looking to make sure. But that didn't matter. Tears sprang to her eyes as she ran over to the girl. Rainbow was sitting on the grass.

"Rainbow!!".

Rainbow looked up at her. Applejack dropped to her knees in front of her. She wrapped her arms around Rainbow.

A sob escaped, tears ran down her face.

"Don't do that. Don't do that to me", she cried.

She held Rainbow as she cried into her shirt.

"Don't you dare scare me like that again".

Rainbow pulled away. She looked up at Applejack but then burst into tears again. She hugged AJ.

After a few minutes they pulled away. Applejack dried Rainbow's tears.

"Rainbow, ah am so sorry about your parents. Ah can't imagine the kind of pain you went through. You're very strong for that. You are".

Rainbow sniffled. Applejack caressed her face. Applejack suddenly heard thunder. Next thing she knew a drop of water fell on her nose. It began to rain. They still didn't move.

It was pouring in minutes. The girls were completely drenched from head to toe.

Applejack held her still. Rainbow looked up at her. Applejack couldn't help but look into her magenta eyes.

Slowly leaning in she kissed her. Rainbow was frozen for a few seconds. She kissed back to Applejack's surprise.

Rainbow wrapped her arms around Applejack's neck. Pulling away the girls smiled at eachother.

Applejack looked down at her. Rainbow smiled shyly. Applejack took her hand.

"Ah love you".

Rainbow smiled.

"Applejack.......".

Applejack's eyes widened. Rainbow had just said her first word.

Rainbow realized what she did and backed away panicked. Her hand over over her mouth she turned.

Applejack grabbed he arm before she could make a run for it. Rainbow turned around. The poor girl had fear in her eyes.

Applejack took her hand, firmly in hers.

"Ah am not about ta lose you. You ain't running away again. Ah almost died inside when I couldn't find you. Ah couldn't take it if ya did it again. Don't scare me like that, okay??".

Rainbow was pulled into a hug. Applejack hugged her around the waist.

"Don't do that again".

Rainbow nodded silently. Applejack pulled away.

"You know that I love you right??".

Rainbow was surprised.

"Ah do and", she pausd. "Will you go out with me??".

Rainbow's face fell. She had a look in her eyes that Applejack never wanted to see again. Hurt.

"Rainbow, ah would never hurt you. Ever. Ah could never bring mahself to harm you. I will always love you. You have changed mah world for the better and ah don't want to leave you. I love you and I want ta know if you feel the same".

Rainbow looked at the ground. She pointed to her mouth.

"So what if you don't or can't speak. I love you for you, not because of your voice. Ah fell in love with your personality and you never spoke a word. Actions speak louder than words, right??".

Rainbow smiled and gave a nod. She took the blonde's hand. Her small hand somehow fit perfectly in Applejack's.

The girl smiled at her.

"Okay".

Applejack smiled.

"If one word as all I can get outta ya, then that's all ah need ta hear".

Applejack wrapped her arms around her. Rainbow smiled. She suddenly sneezed. Applejack frowned. She felt Rainbow's forehead.

"Come on. Let's go home and get you ta bed".

Rainbow had water running down her face. She smelled of rain. Applejack's new favorite scent.

Rainbow was picked up. She held on to Applejack in surprise. Applejack laughed.

"It's okay Rainbow. I've gotcha. Ah won't drop ya, you trust me??".

Rainbow nodded. She relaxed and let AJ carry her home.

It was a quiet walk home. But like Applejack said, words weren't needed.
