"No!!".

The girls watched on horror as Rainbow fell in. The ship had stopped. Suddenly men could be seen on the ship.

The men lowered the sails and got off the ship.

"Hey, you ladies wouldn't happen to see strange around here, would ya??", a man with a captains hat asked.

The girls shook their heads.

"No sir", Fluttershy lied. "What kind of things??".

The man sighed.

"Nothin. Come on guys. Let's get the stuff and-". He stopped and looked down.

Applejack's eyes widened. There at the man's feet was Rainbow's crown. The object must've fell off somehow.

The captain picked it up.

"What do we have here??".

Pinkie stepped up.

"There's my crown. Thanks". She skipped up to him and took it from him. The man looked at her. Pinkie smiled and skipped back to the others.

The captain walked back to the ship, the other men carrying the forgetten instruments that the merpeople left behind in the chaos.

Soon the ship was back to sailing and sailed away.

The girls watched it until they were sure it wouldn't come back.

Applejack looked at Twilight. "Twi, underwater spell, now!!", she comanded.

Twilight casted the spell and Applejack dove into the water. It took a second for her eyes to adjust. Taking in her surroundings she looked around for Rainbow dash.

She heard a splash above her. Looking up she saw the others jump in.

"There she is!!", Pinkie exclaimed.

AJ turned and gasped. Rainbow laid at the bottom, red water surrounding her.

The girls swam towards her. Landing on the sand Applejack kneeled beside the unconscious mermaid. She gently took Rainbow in her arms.

"Rainbow??".

The girl had a scratch on her forehead. It wasn't bleeding but it looked like it would hurt if she was awake.

"She's bleeding", Twilight gasped.

There was a bleeding wound on Rainbow's stomach. Blood flowed from it.

"Uh guys??", Pinkie suddenly said, fear etched in her voice.

The girls looked up.

"WE'VE GOT COMPANY!!".

Sharks. Four sharks entered the cove. They swam towards the girls.

"They must've smelled the blood from wherever they were", Twilight said.

There was a bull shark, two hammerhead shark..... and a great white.

The girls froze as the sharks swam around them at a distance. Applejack held Rainbow close to her.

"What do we do??", she asked.

She was terrified. They all were. One thing on all of their minds was, they probably weren't getting out of this alive.

Suddenly the tiger shark took a sharp turn and swam at them. The girls closed their eyes and waited to be biten.

"HA!!".

A voice came out of nowhere. Opening their eyes they smiled. A group of merkids were there with spears. The kids swam at the sharks with great speed.

They recognized one of them as the girl Rainbow had saved earlier.

The girl stabbed her spear into the side of one of the sharks. That shark quickly turned and swam away. Two boys, about 13 years old, swam over to the girls. They fought of the two hammerhead.

"GIT!!", one yelled.

The skark was a fighter. But the boy was able to scare it off, the other not far behind.

All that was left was the great white. The the beasts sharp teeth didn't rattle the kids.

Applejack looked at them then the shark. She had an idea. She was a human after all.

Placing Rainbow down, she swam over to the kids.

"Give me that spear". One girl handed her her spear.

"Thanks".

She turned around. She quickly raised the spear, blocking the shark, who had tried to attack. The dagger-like teeth chopped onto the object.With the spear in the beasts mouth Applejack kicked her feet up and kicked the shark on the gils.

That was the sharks weak spot. The shark began to swim away. Once it was gone, they cheered.

"Wherever did you come from??", Rarity asked.

"We saw the sharks coming your way and we knew Rainbow was here. We had to help", a girl explained.

They gasped when they saw Rainbow.

"What happened??".

"She got hurt. But Twi can help her".

Twilight nodded with a smile.

"I can". The kids looked worried about her.

"How do you know Rainbow Dash??", Applejack asked.

"She visits us at the orphanage".

These kids were orphans.

"I'm Scootaloo. That's Babsseed, Applebloom, Sweetiebelle, Pearl, Diamond, Reef, and Tan".

The kids waved at them.

"We gotta get back. You will make sure Rainbow's okay, right??", Scootaloo asked.

Applejack nodded.

"Promise".

With that the kids nodded and swam away. Applejack took Rainbow in her arms and swam up to the surface.

Breaching the water the girls climbed out. Laying her girlfriend on the rocky ground Applejack looked at Twilight.

"She's bleedin".

Twilight made a medical kit appear. Opening in it she took out some stuff. Suddenly Rainbow began to stir.

Rainbow's eyes slowly opened. Looking around she saw the girls immediatly.

"What happened??".

"You were hit by the ship and knocked out. You're bleeding alot but we're gunna fix ya up".

Rainbow looked at Twilight. The purple haired teen held up a bottle of liquid. Pouring it on a towel she looked at Rainbow.

"This is going to burn. Alot, so hold Applejack's hand".

Rainbow took AJ'S hand. She felt a stinging sensation on her side and flinched.

"Ow!!".

"Sorry. I'll try to be gentle", Twilight promised as she cleaned the bleeding area.
After she finished, she had to clean the blood up.

"There. All done".

Rainbow had gauze wrapped around her waist. Rainbow looked down around the white wrap.

"This feels soft".

Applejack hugged her.

"I was so scared when we found ya like that. I thought you weren't gunna make it. But I'm glad I was wrong".

Rainbow rested her head on Applejack's shoulder.

"So what happened while I was out??".

The girls began to retell everything that happened while she was unconscious.

"Aww man. I missed all the fun", Rainbow whined.

The girls laughed. "Trust me babe, that was something you wouldn't want to see", Applejack assured her.

Rainbow smiled. "Thank you, for saving me". She kissed Applejack on the cheek.

"It wasn't all me".

"But still, thank you all". Suddenly a sad look came on her face.

"What's wrong??", Fluttershy asked.

"It's nothing, don't wanna worry you". Rainbow smiled. A fake smile.

"Come on, tell us. Please".

Rainbow looked away and sighed.

"Alright then. When my sister gets crowned. You know they don't like me very much".

The girls nodded.

"Well. It's forbidden for anyone in the kingdom to be gay or lesbian".

Rainbow looked down at her lap.

"...... they're going to have me executed after the coronation".
