"True story. It was so funny".

The girls laughed.

"Wait, she got her head stuck??", Applejack asked.

Rainbow nodded. "She was freaking out and flailing around".

She clutched her stomach in laughter. She sighed with a smile gracing her lips.

"It's fun to be around my sisters sometimes. That is, when they're not making my life hell".

The girls smiled sadly at her. Rainbow looked at the water.

"Let me try something", Twilight suddenly said.

She closed her eyes and chanted, "mentor cantrion arceus". Looking at the girls she said, "we can breathe underwater now".

The girls immediatly jumped in. Twilight was right. They could breathe and see clearly underwater.

Rainbow watched them in awe.

"Woah".

The girls looked at her and smiled. Applejack circled her.

"So that's what you look like completely in water. You look amazing".

Rainbow took her hand. "Let's swim around for a while".

The girls followed the two. They watched Rainbow swim around, her scales shining in the sun.

They spent the day exploring the bottom of the cove, not once coming up. They didn't need it. But soon it was time for them to go.

"Hey I just remembered", Rainbow smiled.

"There's gunna be a music celebration here tomorrow. All the kingdom will be here. You should come".

"Uh Rainbow??. We can't have anybody see us, remember??", Applejack reminded her girlfriend.

"We can meet over there", she pointed. The girls turned, they saw another entrance way.

"There's an area over there that we can meet. Everyone will be here, not there".

The girls smiled and agreed.

The next day the girls got ready and headed to the cove. Once they got there, they heard music. It was beautiful.

Following the sound, they stopped by the cove entrance.

"Woah".

There were more mermaids and mermen. They were playing instruments, laughing, swimming around, splashing, singing. It really was a music festival. They saw 3 particular girls. They were wearing pearls and jewelry and crowns. They were royalty. A middle-aged merman sat beside them.

"That's Rainbow's family", Rarity realized.
The girls couldn't believe it. They were seeing the very people that caused Rainbow so much sadness and pain. The girls were very beautiful.

"Come on", Twilight whispered. The 5 girls snuck past them and headed to where they would meet Rainbow Dash.

When they got there Rainbow was there. But, she had chains in her wrists. The mermaid noticed them and waved.

"Hey guys", she said with a smile.

"Come on in".

The girls got in and swam towards her.

"Babe, what's this??", Applejack asked. She was not happy.

Rainbow looked away.

"Um.... my sisters and dad doesn't want me and the festival so to make sure I don't "go and embarrass them" as they said I would they kept me here".

She sighed. "But you're here so don't worry about it".

The girls sat beside her. Applejack wrapped an arm around her waist.

"You sure you're alright??. They didn't hurt you, did they??".

Rainbow smiled and nodded. "Promise. Nothing else happened. So quite worrying. I love you too".

AJ smiled back. "Sorry, I love you", she said and kissed Rainbow on the forehead.

Suddenly they heard the music stop. Screams of panic was heard.

Rainbow knew what that meant.

"Twilight, got any spells to get me out of these chains??", she asked.

Twilight nodded and took the chains in her hands.

"Releasus, cantrion".

The chains came off. Rainbow got in the water. She looked a the girls.

"Stay here and don't get caught".

With that she dove underwater. The girls looked at eachother.

"Forget that. I'm gunna see what's going on", Applejack annnounced. She swam over to a rock that separated the two parts of the cove. The girls followed in pursuit. Climbing up the rock they could see what was going on.

They gasped. A pirate ship was heading their way. They saw merfolk jumping the water. Since the cove was connected to the sea they could easily escape.

"Look!!".

The girls saw one of Rainbow's sisters. Her fin was caught between two rocks.

Suddenly Rainbow hurried over to her. Applejack watched as the girl pushed the rocks apart and freed her sister. The girl looked at Rainbow shocked. Probably didn't expect her to do that.

They saw Rainbow tell her something and the girl dove underwater in a hurry.

The girls looked around. There wasn't many merpeople around. The ship was so close by.

Suddenly Rainbow swam over to a young girl. Her fin had also been caught some time during the chaos. It was Scootaloo. Rainbow freed her and the two hugged eachother

The ship was a few feet away when Scootaloo swam away. Applejack's world seemed to have crumbled when the ship collided with the small rock that Rainbow was on sending her underwater.

"NOOOO!!!".
