Applejack paced the floor.

"Applejack, darling. Please sit down. You'll pace a hole in the floor".

Rarity began to rub her sore neck. Applejack sighed.

"I'm sorry", she said, "I'm just really worried about her".

The girls were too. It had been weeks since they last saw Rainbow Dash.

"Well, let's go check if she's there", Twilight announced.

They immediately got ready and headed out. When they got to the cove it was quiet and still.

"No sign of her".

Applejack sighed and sat at the water's edge. She looked down sadly.

"Come on Rainbow, you gotta come back".

Suddenly she gasped.

Magenta eyes stared up at her. Rainbow.

Rainbow's head popped out of the water.

"Hey".

Applejack jumped in and wrapped her in a tight embrace. Rainbow cringed at the hug.

"Ow!!".

The blonde immediatly pulled away, a concerned look on her.

"What's wrong??. Are ya hurt??".

Rainbow shook her head.

"I'm fine", she said with a smile.

"Then turn around".

Rainbow sighed and turned around.

The girls gasped. Rainbow had a large gash on her back.

"What happened??", Twilight asked worriedly. She had Rainbow pull herself up on the rocks.

"Um got hurt. I um was pushed in a wall, alot".
Rainbow looked down at her lap. Applejack lifted her head so Rainbow was looking at her face.

"Who did this??".

Rainbow shook her head.

"Not important", she mumbled.

The girls looked at eachother. Rainbow was hiding something.

"Rainbow, is there something goin on at your home that you ain't telling us??".

Rainbow didn't move.

"I can't lie to you", she said quietly.

"My dad isn't so nice to me", she admitted.
"He likes to beat me whenever he can, but he won't find me here. So thats why I started coming here. To get away".

The girls were shocked. The king hurt his daughter.

"I have sisters who he treats like diamonds, but not me".

Applejack wrapped a gentle arm around her.

"You don't deserve that treatment. I wish we could go down there and talk some sense inta him but we cant".

Rainbow shrugged. "It's cool. You get use to it. I'm fine so, yeah".

Flicking her tail, water splashed up, making her laugh.

The girls felt the mood lighten up.

"Oh I almost forgot", Rarity suddenly said.
She got up and ran towards her car. She came back holding a crown.

"I've been working on it for a while now. It's a gift. For thanking you".

The teen kneeled and handed Rainbow the crown. The crown was beautiful, with gems that shone in the sun and it was shiny gold.

Rainbow loved it.

"Thank you". AJ took it and placed it on Rainbow's head.

Rainbow smiled.

"You are the best guys", she sighed. The girls smiled at her.

"Just remember, we all love you Rainbow. You mean alot to us. I love you too", Applejack told her.

Rainbow nodded. She kissed Applejack on the cheek and smiled.

"I know. Love you too apples".

AJ rolled her eyes at the nickname.

They talked for the whole day. Soon it was close to sunset.

The girls were growing tired.

"I think we should get home", Twilight suggested. They all nodded. The girls stood up. Rainbow was sad they had to go. Applejack didn't want to go. She didn't want to leave Rainbow again. The blonde looked at the mermaid in her arms.

"I'll be fine. You go home". Rainbow got into the water and looked at them.

"Bye. See you soon". Blowing AJ a kiss she dove underwater and left.

Applejack smiled.

"She may not be a princess to her family. But she is in my eyes".
