The stands were full of people, the crowd was cheering. Everyone was hyped up. Rainbow sat on the bleachers watching the game. The wondercolts were playing against the sealions. The score was 7-7, a tie.

The clock was counting down the last round. Applejack headed down the field. Suddenl

y she was tripped. She fell onto the ground. She eyes widened as a terrible pain shot through her leg. She stood up. Suddenly a whistle blew. The others ran over to Applejack.

"Are you hurt??", Spitfire asked.

AJ winced. She nodded. "I hate to admit but I think I have to sit out".

"But then we won't have enough players. We'll have to forfeit the game".

She and Soarin led her to a bench. A nurse came over. The nurse checked her leg. There was usually one at each game in case something like this happened.

"It's not broken or sprained", she said. "Just overused. You should stay sitting for a while with some ice".

The nurse stood up.

"Be right back".

She walked away.

Spitfire sighed.

"What are we gunna do??", Spitfire groaned.

"Fine someone that can take my place", Applejack suggested.

Spitfire crossed her arms. "Who??".

Suddenly Rainbow came up to them.

"What happened??. Are you okay??".

Rainbow kneeled beside Applejack concerned. Applejack smiled.

"I'm fine babe. The nurse said it's not sprained or broken. Just overused".

Rainbow sighed in relief.

"Wait...... without you in the field, won't you guys have to forfeit??".

"Yeah. We might get someone to take her place. But who??".

Applejack had an idea. She grinned.

"Ah know who".

Everyone looked at her.

"Rainbow Dash".

Rainbow's ees widened. What?!!!

"What??!!!".

Applejack nodded. "Are you crazy??. I can't play!!. I'm not even-".

Applejack cut her off. "If you say that you're not good at soccer I will kill you".

Rainbow shut her mouth. "I cant. I mean....... what if I'm not good enough to play??. What if I let you all down??. What if we still lose and it's my fault??".

"Rainbow. Ah know for a fact that you can do this", Applejack stated.

"Win or lose. It doesn't matter. What matters is that we play good and fair. Now get your butt in this shirt and get out there".

Applejack slipped off her team shirt. She had on another t-shirt underneath. Rainbow sighed and slipped on the shirt. It fit perfectly. Applejack took off her shoes.

"Put these in".

Rainbow took off her own vans converses and put on the cleats.

She looked at Spitfire and nodded. Rainbow got a kiss on the cheek from Applejack. They went out onto the field.

The crowd cheered. Rainbow took a deep breath. She was completely calm. They got into position. The referee looked at both teams. He held the ball.

Blowing his whistle he threw the ball in the air. The game began. Spitfire bumped it with her head onto the grass. She dribbled it down the field.

The other team tried to get it from her. Suddenly the ball was swiped. A teenager boy grinned at he made his way down the field. Spitfire turned and ran after him.

The boy passed it to another teammate.

They were about to kick it into the net when someone stole the ball.

The crowd cheered loudly.

Rainbow had the ball. She felt the sweat start to build up

She paid attention to her surroundings. None her the others were open to pass the ball to. She was solo.

The time was at 20 seconds. The time ticking down.

Running down the field she kept the ball by her feet, moving quickly to block the other team. Her feet kept the ball safe.

10 seconds.

A boy got in her way, she faked a turn and went through the other way. The boy fell to the grass.

"5, 4, 3!!". "Here goes nothing", she said. She kicked the ball as hard and precise as she could. The ball soared. Everthing stopped. The goalie jumped to block it.

"Score!!".

The ball made it in!!!.

"THE WONDERCOLTS WIN!!".

Rainbow stood there smiling. She looked at the team. The crowd surrounded them. Applejack at one point had got up and joined them. Rainbow watched them from afar. Smiling she walked over to the bench.
A small pain on her side from a bruise she got earlier made her stop for a second. She took a breath. Grabbing her stuff, she slung her bag over her shoulder, phone in hand.

She walked off the field, the cheering behind her.

Applejack laughed as she hugged Spitfire.

"That was amazing!!. She did it!!".

Spitfire frowned. "Where is she??".

Applejack looked around but couldn't see anything above the crowd of students.

Suddenly her phone buzzed. Taking her phone out she read a text. From Rainbow Dash.

'The guys were awesome today!!. Call me after the celebration party and be careful. I love u and the guys. Congrats on the win!!'.

Applejack looked up at Spitfire. She showed her the text.

"Come on. She is not getting away from us that easily".

The two girls found the rest of the team. They all made it out of the crowd. They looked around.

Suddenly Soarin shouted. "There she is!!".

They all saw Rainbow walking down the sidewalk. Soarin lifted Applejack on his back. Applejack looked at her phone. She texted Rainbow back.

'You better stay right there and don't take another step!!'.

They saw Rainbow had stopped. They hurried up the hill towards her. Rainbow spotted them.

"Where do you think you're going??", Spitfire asked.

"Home. Congrats on the win though. Call me when the celebration party is over".

Rainbow turned around. Spitfire quickly picked her up. Rainbow screamed in surprise as she was hauled over her shoulder.

"Nope. You're coming with us".

Rainbow looked at Applejack.

"THIS IS KIDNAPPING!!", she yelled.

"So??".

Rainbow looked at her wide eyed. Applejack grinned.

"Love you too".

They walked back over to the crowd of students. They cheered even louder. Rainbow was put down.

"Guys.... what-".

Spitfire placed a hand over her mouth.

"Rainbow. You were the one to score the winning goal and got us the win. You deserve some credit for this. Not just us".

Rainbow blushed. She looked around and began to smile.

"Thanks guys".

Applejack wrapped an around around her waist, pulling her in for a kiss. The crowd went nuts. Students shouted and whistled. Coarse some students looked at them in disgust but Spitfire told them off and made them leave. Rainbow smiled up at Applejack.

"I don't think I could get use to this".

Applejack smiled softly at her.

"Take as long you need..... cause you're stuck with us forever".

Rainbow smiled. "I can live with that".

She pulled away. "I should go and let you guys have your shining moment".

Applejack frowned. "Uhhh Rainbow. These people are cheering for YOU".

Rainbow was surprised. She looked at the others. They nodded. Rainbow smiled.

"Come on. Let's go celebrate!!", Spitfire exclaimed.

They made their way to get their stuff. Smiling they headed to sugarcube corner.

"Those are some good cupcakes", Rainbow said.

Applejack nodded. Her leg was feeling alot better so she could walk. She held Rainbow's hand.

Rainbow looked at the sunset. She sighed happily. Leaning against the side of the building.

"This was a good day. You guy won the game. A great cupcake and now a sunset to end the day. What could be better than this??".

Applejack surprised her by kissing her lips. Rainbow stood there for a moment, frozen.

"I stand corrected".

The group laughed. Spitfire nudged her side.

"Hey. Remember, YOU scored that goal. YOU won us the game. Take some credit for yourself, why don't cha??. Stop being so humble".

Rainbow shrugged. "I know I guess I'm just use to having the credit taken from me when it DOES belong to me that I just give it up willingly. But whatever, I'll live. So stop telling me to stop".

Spitfire looked at her. "Well we couldn't have done it without you. Thanks".

Rainbow shrugged. "Just doing what I thought was right".

Spitfire chuckled. "You're a good person. I like that about you".

Rainbow smiled. "Thanks".

"Rainbow??".

Applejack turned to her. Rainbow turned to her. They stopped walking.

"Rainbow. I can't explain just how happy ah am ta know you. You have been through so much. You're only 15 for gosh sake and you've been bullied, abused physically an mentally an emotionally. It's insane. But you're still here and you're still you. Strong, kind, humble, beautiful on the inside and out. I am so proud of you".

Rainbow felt tears run down her face.

"I am so friggin proud of you. Not Spitfire, not Soarin, not Mah sister. You. I am proud of you for all you've ever done. You've made ah bigger in pact on my life than anyone had ever done to me before. I'm so proud".

Rainbow was crying. She buried her face in Applejack's shirt.

"I've waited my whole life for someone to say that. That's the first time anyone has ever said that to me and meant it".

She held on to AJ and cried tears of joy. Applejack didn't mind one bit. She looked over at her team anyone saw them tearing up as well. Though they were trying to hide it.

"Come on you guys. I know you wanna say somethin".

Applejack smiled. Spitfire joined in the hug.

"We're so proud of you Rainbow. We don't care what the rest of the world says about you. We love you and we're always gunna be here for you. You and us against the world".

Rainbow looked at her. She sniffled. Spitfire brought her in for a hug. Rainbow cried even more. Never as she ever felt as loved as she did right then and there.

Surrounded by people that finally loved her was the best feeling she had ever known.

"I have never felt so loved before by anyone. Thank you".

Spitfire pulled away. "No. Thank you".

Rainbow smiled and wiped her tears away. Soarin hugged her from behind.

"Awww love fest".

Rainbow laughed. Soarin grinned.

"What did I say??".

Rolling her eyes Applejack playfully shoved him away. She hugged Rainbow again, feeling her hair under her chin.

Pulling away she smiled.

"I love you".

Rainbow smiled back.

"I know that now. I know".
