Applejack and Spitfire walked down the field. The team was behind them. They were on their way to practice.

Applejack spotted Rainbow Dash by her tree. The group walked over to her. She was wearing her hood up. The girl had her nose stuck in a book as usual.

Applejack walked over to her. Rainbow saw her and waved. Pulling her hood down lower she stood up. Rainbow leaned against the tree.

"Hey guys".

Applejack frowned.

"Uh Rainbow??. Why's your hoodie up??".

Rainbow panicked inside. What should she say??.

"Um I just thought I'd wear one today. It's a little cold outside today".

Applejack crossed her arms, raising an eyebrow.

"Okay. Take it off. Show me".

Rainbow reaches up and touched her hood.

She stopped herself. What was she doing??. She couldn't show them. They'd freak!!.

"Rainbow", Spitfire said calmly. "If you don't take that hood off I'll rip it off myself. Now do what Applejack says and put your hood down please. We just want to make sure you're okay".

Rainbow slowly dropped her hood. She looked around at them.

This time Spitfire crossed her arms.

"Since when do you wear you bangs over your eye??".

Rainbow scratched the back of her neck.

"I have before just wanted to wear it like this today".

Spitfire's face didn't change. She walked up to the girl and stood in front of her.

"Okay listen to me. I know it's hard to let people in and give your trust to people you've only known for only two days. But we care about you Rainbow. We really do. Applejack loves you. She does I known it breaks your heart whenever you have to lie to her to keep whatever it is a secret. But we're here for you no mater what".

Rainbow smiled and bit. Running her hands the through her bangs they were swept aside. Spitfire gasped. Rainbow had a black eye.

Pulling her hood down she put the teen's bangs back how they usually are.

Now they could see her eye. Applejack gasped and walked up to her.

"What happened??".

"My dad beat me when I got home", Rainbow said quietly.

She looked down, her arms crossed.

Spitfire's eyes widened then narrowed.

"That's it. You're getting out of there".

Rainbow and Applejack looked at her.

"What??. Why??".

"I will not let this continue. Rainbow, you need help. Don't you think so??".

Rainbow thought about it. She looked down.

"I don't know. It's all I've ever known. I don't know any different so I dont know if I'll be able to handle not being ignored all the time or yelled at".

She turned around and sighed.

"I really am pathetic".

"No, you're not".

Rainbow turned back around. Applejack stood in front of her. She took her hand.

"Ah agree with Spitfire. I can't stand ta watch you get hurt constantly by people that aren't suppose to do that. You deserve better. If you let us help, you will get something better".

Rainbow looked at her seriously.

"I'd rather get beaten everyday than having a chance of losing you guys. I'll be put into foster care. Move around alot, not have an actual place to call home. Be around people that I don't know. Plus then, I'll get bullied for being an "orphan". Trust me, word gets around fast in school and you know it. Now instead of being invisible I'll be the kid that everyone picks on and makes fun of everyday. I couldn't handle all that. I can't promise my safety if that happens".

"What do you mean??", Applejack asked.

"I don't trust myself to not do something stupid. Things get to me, not easily but eventually they do and I might......".

Rainbow shook her head and walked away. She grabbed her bag snd walked away.

"I just can't. I'm sorry".

Applejack, Spitfire, and Soarin looked at eachother.

"You don't think she's saying that she might...... you know".

Applejack looked at the Rainbow haired teen. She ran after her. She couldn't let Rainbow leave. Not with that on her mind.

She caught up to her and took her arm.

"Wait!!".

Rainbow turned around. She saw AJ.

"Don't you guys have practice??. I can handle myself".

Applejack was slightly hurt by the tone in her voice. She placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Babe. Rainbow what do you mean you would do something??. You don't mean you would.....".

Rainbow looked away. She sighed and nodded.

"If I lost you guys I wouldn't have anything to keep me alive".

Applejack felt her heart break.

She heard a sniffle from Rainbow Dash as she turned around and began to walk. She reached out and grabbed her arm once more. Rainbow didn't turn around.

"Rainbow. Don't say stuff like that. I'm not losin' you ta the government. I'm not losin' ya ta foster care. I'm not gunna lose ya ta those bullies in school that will probably be drop outs next year anyways. And I sure as hell ain't gunna lose you.... ta yourself".

Rainbow felt tears ran down her face. She looked back at the blonde girl. Applejack wrapped her in a tight embrace.

"I'm sorry. I'm just scared".

Applejack pulled away shocked. Rainbow had never ever admitted to being scared.

"I'm scared okay. Scared I'll lose you then you'll find someone better".

She moved back her face hardening.

"I'm fact. I'm telling you to move on. Find someone else. Someone who won't have to move. Someone who's better, popular, prettier, nicer".

She turned on her heel and walked away.

"Someone who isn't screwed up".

Applejack once again ran after her. She locked her arms around her waist, stopping her in her tracks.

"Why?. Why do you keep doing that??. Just let me walk away. It'll be better for everyone that you even forget that you ever met me".

Applejack brought her close she that there bodies were against eachother's. Rainbow looked at her, tears running down her face.

"Rainbow.....", Applejack began. "You are not screwed up. You are beautiful, funny, amazingly smart. You're so strong Rainbow".

Rainbow's eyes were lookin at Applejack's chest.

"You think so??", Rainbow asked.

"I know so. If surviving a neglective and abusive home and still have the kind, innocent gentle heart that you have isn't being strong then I don't know what is".

Rainbow smiled. She placed a hand on Applejack's chest.

"Thank you".

Applejack smiled. "I love you".

Rainbow smiled. "I love you too".

The two looked at eachother. Rainbow stood on tiptoes and kissed her on the lips. Applejack held her securely around her body. Rainbow gently placed her hands on Applejack's chest. They pulled away.

Rainbow blushed and looked away.

"Hehe. Uhhh sorry".

Applejack kissed her cheek. "It's fine Rainbow".

Rainbow turned her head. She shrunk away a bit. Applejack turned to see Spitifre, Soarin, and the whole soccer team was standing there.

"You girls are adorable together", Spitfire claimed. She walked up to them.

"But AJ has a point. We refuse to lose you to anyone, including your own mind. So if you think we're gunna let you go and hurt yourself then you're total wrong sweetheart. You're staying, well tie you us and then chain you and then glue you".

Rainbow smiled. "I know you will".

Spitfire smiling and joined in on a hug.

"I think she should off herself", someone said. Spitfire whirled around.

"WHO SAID THAT??", she growled.

One boy stood out. She had his arms crossed.

"I mean. She isn't important to anyone. Even her own parents want her dead. Might as well do it yourself before they kill you. It'll be less painful. Not that you don't deserve pain cause I could care less of you die in pain or not".

Spitfire took him by his shirt. She punched him in the face sending him to the ground. He sat up, looking at Spitfire.

"What did you do that for??!!", he yelled.

"You're done on this team. If that's how you're gunna treat her then you shouldn't be around her or us".

The guy stood up. He turned and walked away.

Spitfire turned around. She noticed Rainbow Dash had an emotionless face. The girl dried her tears.

"Well. That happened".

Spitfire walked over to her. She watched Rainbow wipe her tears away.

"I have a better idea".

Rainbow looked at her questioningly.

"What??".

"You'll move in with Applejack".

Rainbow's eyes widened. She look at Applejack. She was smiling.

"I have room for two and you'll finally get away from your parents".

Rainbow thought about it.

"I'll think about it".

Applejack smiled. "Take your time".

Rainbow took her hand.

"Don't you guys have a game later??".

"Oh shoot!!".

They all ran down to the field. Rainbow ran right beside Spitfire. She laughed.

Spitfire looked at her.

They stopped.

"Are you so fast??. I'm the fastest in school".

Rainbow smirked.

"Maybe".

Spitfire grinned. She walked over to the soccer ball and picked it up.

"Come on Rainbow. You're practicing with us".

Rainbow leaned against the tree. "Am i??".

Applejack and Soarin grabbed her and dragged her over to her.

"Hey!!".

Applejack laughed.

"You're playin' babe. You're good and I wanna see you play".

Rainbow stood there, arms wrapped around herself.

Spitfire dropped the ball in front of her.

"You do realize I'm terrible at this right??", Rainbow asked.

Spitfire rolled her eyes. "Just get the ball into the net, simple".

"Simple??. I'm playing against YOU. That's not simple. That's very very complicated".

Spitfire crossed her arms. "Shut up and play".

Rainbow looked down at the ball.

"On 3", Spitfire said. 1 2-".

Rainbow swiped the ball and bouced with her foot doing a front roll. The ball flew straight into the net.

"3".

Rainbow looked at her, hand on her hip. Spitfire stared at her shocked.

"You...... did you do that?".

Rainbow nodded. "Pretty sure".

Spitfire smiled. "Well well well, little Rainbow here has some skills".

Rainbow shrgged. "I think I get it from my dad. I get my musical talent from my mom".

"Musical??".

Rainbow slapped her mouth shut.

"Nothing. Forget I said anything".

Soarin smirked. "Can you sing??".

Rainbow shook her head. Soarin raised an eyebrow.

"Uh huh liar. You can totally sing can't chu??".

Rainbow blushed.

"You can!!. Oh man I gotta hear this".

Applejack smirked. "Babe, is this true??. Can you sing??".

Rainbow sighed. "I hum from time to time. No biggie. Now uh your game. It's like 2 hours. So you guys gotta go take a shower and do whatever you sporty people do".

Applejack took her hand and the team headed to their own homes. They had amdll game tonight.
