"Okay so that's chapter 7".

Applejack sighed. She put her book down and looked up. Rainbow had a troubled look on her face.

"You okay there Rainbow??".

Rainbow jumped. She nodded.

"Yeah I'm fine AJ. I just...... Nevermind it's silly".

Applejack frowned.

"What is it??. You can tell me".

Rainbow didn't say anything. She looked at the book in her hands.

"I can relate. To her problems. Being alone, unwanted, ignored. A nobody".

Applejack's eyes narrowed. She had gotten to know Rainbow Dash the past 2 months they were partner. They didn't talk in school except in that class but they were friends outside. Applejack surprisingly always felt a weird feeling around Rainbow. She couldn't explain it.

"Well. You can always talk ta me".

Rainbow smiled and took out another book. Applejack sat and watched her as she read. She had gotten use to seeing her pull out a random book and read. Do nothing but read. Sometimes Applejack asked her to read to her. Reading wasn't her thing but she didn't mind hearing Rainbow's voice.

Rainbow grunted. She held the heavy books in her hands as she walked down the hall. She was a strong girl but today was not one of her days. The books seemed like a bag of bricks to her.

Rainbow Dash turned a corner and someone crashed into her. She fell to the floor, books scattered everywhere.

Rainbow fell onto her side.

"Ow!!".

She could feel a bruise forming on her side. Sitting up she saw Applejack.

"I am so sorry", she said.

Getting up, despite her pain, she helped Applejack up.

"Are you okay??. I'm really sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going and-".

"Rainbow. Ya don't have ta explain yourself. It wasn't your fault. Sorry".

Rainbow kneeled to pick up a book when a slight pain came from her side causing her to wince.

"Are you hurt??", Applejack asked.

Rainbow shook her head.

"I'm fine".

Applejack helped her pick up her stuff.

"Here let me take these for ya", she offered.

Rainbow adjusted her glasses and stood, arms loaded with heavy books. She let the taller girl take them from her. They walked down the hall.

Rainbow noticed people were staring at them.

"So uh how's the book??", AJ asked.

Rainbow looked at her. "Great. Now Diamond has to go to the caves for Encanta. She already found the pups that were on the cover".

Applejack's eyes widened. "They're in the story??".

Rainbow nodded.

"Yeah I think they're soooo funny".
Rainbow laughed quietly. She continued to talk.

Applejack smiled at her. She could feel the stares on her but she ignored them. For Rainbow's sake. She knew the girl wouldn't be able to handle all the negative attention so she had to keep the girl's mind busy.

'For Rainbow'.

She didn't know it but she slowly falling for the girl. A jock falling for the nerd. Interesting.
