Applejack looked at the view. The girls were with Rainbow and her father at diamond waterfalls. They had been out all day exploring Avalen. Rainbow was right. You really could drink out of it. That was the first thing Pinkie did when they got there.

Rainbow's father laughed in amusement.

The view from the view was amazing.
"It's so beautiful", She said.

She looked at Rainbow who was looking at her.

The princess smiled and said, "yeah. Most places here have a great view. Come on. There's a spot we want you to see".

Rainbow walked ahead of them.

They walked across a bridge. They came to a steep area.

"Rainbow. Be careful", her father said.

"I'm with Applejack so I'll be fine", Rainbow said, her eyes on the ground.
Applejack walked beside her. The blonde watched her footsteps.

She could tell that Rainbow was a bit nervous about being in this area. Applejack spoke up quietly.

"You can hold onta me if ya want", she said.

Rainbow took her hand. Applejack made sure she had a firm grip on her. Rainbow looked at her and smiled shly. The blonde felt her heart stop for a second at the gesture.

The teens slowly made their way through the steep area. Suddenly Rainbow slipped.

She began to fall, a scream coming from her. Applejack immediately grabbed her waist, her feet planted into the ground. She pulled Rainbow back to safety and away from the edge.

"Rainbow!!".

The guards and the king pulled the girls away.

"Are you alright??", The king asked.

Rainbow nodded her head. She looked freaked out.

"I'm fine".

Rainbow looked at Applejack.

"Thank you".

She hugged the blonde girl. Applejack felt her shaking. She was really shaken up. She hugged her back.

"It's alright. You're alright. Ah've gotcha".

Applejack looked up at Twilight and Pinkie. The girls looked like they had a heart attack.

Pulling away she let out a breath.

"Well. That got mah heart pumping. Good exercise".

Applejack nervously laughed.

"Let's continue".

The two continued walking. Rainbow clung onto Applejack as if her life depended on it. The king stayed close to them, eyes on his daughter. The guards stayed near Twilight and Pinkie who were right behind Applejack and Rainbow.

Finally, they reached the spot. It was the top of the mountain.

The view was amazing.

"Woah".

Rainbow smiled.

"I use to come up here with my parents all the time when I was younger".

"Why'd ya stop??".

Rainbow was silent. She just held on to Applejack's arm. She laid her head on the teen's chest.

Applejack had an arm around her waist. She was not about to let that incident happen again.

The king watched the two girls. He smiled.

After a few minutes he walked over to them.

"Well I think we should get back to the palace. It's getting dark".

Rainbow lifted her head. The two girls nodded. The group headed back the way they came.

When they got to the steep cliff Rainbow stopped and froze in place.

Applejack noticed immediately and looked at her. She looked back at the king.

The man walked ahead by a few feet.

"See. It's safe now. You'll be okay".

Rainbow look unconvinced. They couldn't blame her. She had almost slipped off a cliff if it weren't for Applejack. The princess bit her lip.

"Hey", Applejack said.

Rainbow looked up at her. Applejack held out her hand.

"Do you trust me??".

Rainbow nodded.

"Yeah".

"Well. Ah'll be right there next to ya. Ah won't let you go".

Rainbow slowly took her hand. The two girls walked across the cliff.

They reached the bottom of the waterfall, where they began.

The pegasi were waiting for them. Rainbow's pegasus walked over to Rainbow. He knew something was wrong. Nudging her with its muzzle, the pegasus looked at her worriedly.

Rainbow smiled. She stroked Kickers mane.

"It's alright boy. Just a little cliff scare happened. I'm fine".

Applejack was glad she was smiling again. She helped Rainbow up onto him before getting on Sunrise.

"Hey Bubble!!", Pinkie shouted. Her pegasus was happy to see her as well.

The group took off into the sky to the castle.

The group walked into the throne room. Queen Eden was there talking to her advisors.

"Mom!!".

Rainbow ran over to her and hugged her.

The queen looked at them confused.

"You don't know how happy I am to see you", Rainbow said.

"What happened??", the queen asked.

"We went to diamond waterfall and went up the mountain part and Rainbow almost took a tumble down the cliff", the king explained.

The woman gasped. She kneeled down.

"Are you alright??", she asked.

"She's fine. She was just shaken up. If Applejack hadn't been there, I don't want to think about what would have happened".

The queen looked up at the blonde.

"Thank you. I don't know what we'd do without you".

Applejack smiled. "Ah'm just glad ah caught her in time".

"Well. I think we've had enough heart stopping moments today and I must he off", the king said.

"I have a meeting to go to but I will see you all for dinner".

The king took off, off the floor and flew out of the room.

"Come on", Rainbow said. "I wanna show you something".

The girls followed her down the hall. Twilight and Pinkie walked beside Applejack. The girls looked at eachother curiously.

The four walked into a room. The girls looked around in awe. It had pictures on the walls. Though they didn't make much sense they could make out fairies and pictures of the sun and the moon.

"What is it??", Twilight asked.

"It's the history of Avalen".

The girls turned around. A man stood there. Well..... he was technically flying, but whatever.

"Hello. I don't think we've properly met yet".

The man flew closer. "I'm Hamon. I'm the royal historian. Everything you need to know about the history of Avalen is right in this room".

"Can you explain these drawing to us??", Twilight asked.

The man smiled. "Of coarse".

They started at a picture of a pink flower.

"This flower was no ordinary flower. Inside of this was how the first fairy was born. These flowers were magical and only bloomed once every thousand years. Fairies were first made like that but we discovered that it took a lot of strength for fairies to get out since they bloomed in the winter and they died. But one day. Something changed".

They moved on to a picture of a fairy coming out of the flower.

"A fairy was able to get out. The first fairy was born. Her name was Caleesi. She saw that the others fairies needed help getting out so she helped them out and thus fairies were born. Now, you and I know that fairies don't come out of flowers anymore", he said to Rainbow.

They looked at a new picture on the wall. It was of many fairies.

"One day the fairies built a kingdom and called it Avalen. She fell in love and they were made king and queen of Avalen".

"Ahhh".

The man smiled.

"Now. One day the fairies found a magical pond. It gave Caleesi the power to give birth and thus her first child was born. A daughter. All woman fairies were dipped in and were given the gift to have children and thus the population grew and grew and now fairies are born from their mothers and not flowers anymore".

Rainbow was in awe. There was so much to learn about her kingdom.

"Wow".

Hamon smiled.

"So what did Caleesi look like??", Twilight asked.

"How did fairies learn about running a kingdom and all??".

"And how did they learn to bake??", Pinkie asked.

Hamon laughed.

"Come this way and I'm sure there are some books that'll tell you everything".

Twilight and Pinkie walked with him.

Applejack and Rainbow sat down by some shelves and looked through some books, reading random facts about Avalon.

"There are 20,000 fairies today in Avalen", Rainbow read.

"Did you know that the first cake in Avalen was made by accident??. It was intended ta be a muffin but it was bigger than it was suppose ta be".

Rainbow laughed. "Cool".

Applejack looked up at her.

"Rainbow??".

"Yeah??".

Rainbow looked up from the book in her hands. Applejack was looking at her curiously.

"Why don't you have wings??".
