"But seriously. Like he just stole the ball from me. That was totally cheating, he even tripped me. Like who does that during a game??. But then the referee caught him and got him out".

Rainbow sat around her teammates, tellng them a story. But they couldn't care less.

"I remember once he cheated during another game and-".

"OH MY GOSH SHUT UP!!".

Rainbow stopped talking. A boy stood up.

"CAN YOU HEAR YOURSELF?? YOU DON'T SHUT UP DO YOU??. ALWAYS SAYING SOMETHING. I BET EVEN YOUR GIRLFRIEND GETS TIRED OF YOUR TALKING. WHY DON'T YOU JUST NOT TALK ANYMORE??!!. IT WOULD DO US ALL A FAVOR".

The boy stomped away. The other teammates followed, leaving Rainbow to herself.

Was what he was saying true??. Did Applejack really think she talked too much??. Rainbow looked down at her lap sadly.

Maybe she should take a break from talking. Just for a while.

Rainbow sighed. She didn't mean to upset anyone. But if not talking made things better, she would do it.

"Hey babe".

Rainbow turned around and saw Applejack. She smiled.

"How was practice??".

Rainbow shrugged and looked away.

"You okay??".

Rainbow nodded and kissed her cheek. The two walked home silently. The silence was killing Applejack.

She wasn't use to Rainbow being this quiet.
When they got home Rainbow went upstairs to lay down. Applejack went after her. She walked into their room and saw her on the bed, hugging her pillow. She had that distant look in her eyes, like she was thinking.

"Baby, what's wrong??".

Rainbow blinked and looked at her.

"Why aren't you talking??".

Rainbow looked down and away from her girlfriend. Applejack was worried. But she left it alone. Rainbow was just not in the mood at the moment to talk, that was fine.

But a whole week went past and she was still as silent.

The two were laying in bed when Applejack sat up.

"Rainbow. Please, talk to me. Tell me anything you want. Anything at all, just say something. I can't stand this silence from you anymore I miss your voice".

Rainbow sat up and looked at her confused as if to say "really??".

Applejack nodded. "I do. I miss it alot. I've never gone this long before without hearing your voice. I miss it, I miss you're voice, the way you speak and I miss your laugh. Your laugh is best thing in the world to me. Please tell me what's wrong. Say something".

"I-".

Applejack perked up. Rainbow sighed.

"I thought that you were annoyed and tired of my voice".

Applejack's eyes widened. "What??. No I could never".

She took Rainbow's hand in hers.

"What made you think that??".

"Flight, one of my teammates on the soccer team told me that I talk too much and that it would be better if I didn't speak at all".

She groaned. "Gah here I go again. Rambling. I hate speaking, this is why I didn't. I even annoy myself with all the talking I do".

Applejack shook her head.

"No, you dont. You just THINK you talk too much because someone told you and you believed it. That's all a lie. Plus I love ta hear ya talk".

Rainbow looked at her. "You do".

Applejack nodded with a smile. She kissed her on the cheek.

"I've never lied to you".

Rainbow shrugged. "True. I'm sorry".

"For what??".

"For going mute. I really didnt want to but I thought everyone would be happier. I'm sorry".

Applejack replied, "It was worth it. Hearing you speak again makes me really happy".

Rainbow smiled.

"Now don't you have practice today??".

Rainbow nodded. She got up and went to get dressed. She got her stuff and they left.

When they got there they saw the team there. Rainbow got out and walked with Applejack out to the field.

"Looks who showed up".

Rainbow didn't say anything. She just tossed the ball to Flight and walked over to the bench. She put her stuff down and put on her soccer shirt and shoes.

Applejack sat beside her. Rainbow didn't say anything, just glances at her every few minutes.

"Are you okay babe??".

Rainbow nodded and stood up. Applejack did too and grabbed her arm. Rainbow turned and looked at her. Applejack looked down at her. Rainbow looked at the grass. She didn't say anything.

"Babe??".

Rainbow look up at her wordlessly.

"Don't tell me...."

Applejack looked over at the team. Then at Rainbow who looked upset. Rainbow had gone mute again.

She marched over to the group. Grabbing Flight by the shirt she brought him close.

"How dare you. Say anything to her like that again and you'll be missing a few teeth. I went through hell, not hearing her voice for a whole week because of something YOU said and I will not let that happen again".

Flight was terrified.

"Is this true??", a voice said.

The two turned and saw the captain of the team. He did not look happy.

"Flight. Is that true??".

Flight crossed his arms and nodded proudly.

"I said what nobody had the balls to say".

The captain marched up to him.

"No. You can the idiocy to hurt someone with words. What have I always told you??".

Flash sighed. "You're words are to build us up, not bring us down. But she deserved it".

"You're done on this team".

Flights eyes widened.

"What??!!. You can't do that!!".

"Oh yes I can. I will also give you detention all week".

Flight glared at Rainbow Dash. He began to walk towards her but Applejack grabbed him.

"What do you think you are doing??".

Flight saw the look in her eyes that challenged him to do something.

"Nothing"

He walked away.

Rainbow walked up to Applejack.

"Thanks".

AJ hugged her. "Anytime babe".

Rainbow looked at the coach.

"You okay??", he asked. She nodded and smiled.

"Yup. Now let's get practicing!!".

Applejack sat down on the bench and watched Rainbow practice with her friends. She laughed and shouted. It was music Applejack's ears.

She loved it.
