Rainbow Dash loved to read. She'll read anytime, anywhere. She, like Twilight, carried around a book in her bag to read when she got the chance. Sometimes the books she read influenced her behavior. Like this. Once she read a book that made her sad and depressed but she read it anyway.

Applejack walked into Rainbow's library. Yup she had a library. Applejack checked on her every so often to make sure she ate or wasn't having a mental breakdown or something.

Rainbow was sitting her chair by the window. Applejack had to stop for a moment. The room had a depressing vibe in the air. Rainbow herself looked like she had been crying. She looked so sad. There was a book in her hand.

"What's wrong??", she asked.

Rainbow looked up at her. She sighed.
"I'm so upset now", she whined.

Applejack walked up to her.

"What happened??".

Rainbow sighed. "Her parents died and she lives in an orphanage that won't let then do anything fun. It depressing. Hold me".

Applejack wrapped her arms around her waist and sat sit her on her lap. Rainbow continued to read. Applejack glared at the book. Sometimes she hated books. She knew they affected Rainbow's moods and thoughts sometimes and she didn't like it when Rainbow was like this. Stupid books.

Other times Rainbow was so into the book she forgot important stuff. For instance..... her name ._.

Applejack peeked into the room. Rainbow was sitting on the floor. A stack off books around her. She had a look of pure intimacy in the book, Applejack was sure that there could world war 3 going on and Rainbow would think it was only her imagination.

"Rainbow??", she called.

Rainbow didn't look up.

Applejack walked in.

"Rainbow??".

Finally Rainbow looked up, a confused look on her face.

"Who are you talking to??", she asked.

Applejack raised an eyebrow. "Uh Rainbow??. You okay??".

"My name's not Rainbow".

Applejack began to worry. She had to ask.

"Then who are you??".

Rainbow got up. "Uh hello. It's me. Claire. Your best friend".

Applejack looked at her as if she had gone mad.

"How long have you been readin??".

Rainbow looked at her completely lost. "I'm sorry. Did you say read??. I wasn't reading. I was just at the barns, talking to Derek-".

Rainbow's eyes widened. She looked at Applejack.

"Oh god I forgot my name".

Applejack walked up to her and shook her.

"Applejack, you can stop it!!", Rainbow exclaimed.

Applejack stopped shaking her and looked at her.

"What's your name??", she asked.

Rainbow's eyes were out of focus from the shake.

"Rainbow Eden Dash. Im 16 and I love you".

Applejack sighed in relief. She grabbed the book and put it on the seat.

"That's enough readin' fir taday. C'mon. Let's go eat".

Rainbow looked at her.

"What time is it??", she asked.

"Dinner time".

Rainbow's eyes widened. "But I just walked in here a few minutes.........ago.....wait.....I'm lost".

Applejack sighed. She took the girl by the hand and dragged her out of the room, shutting the door.

"No more readin'".

There was the time Rainbow bursted into an angry fit because of a what a character had said in the book.

Rainbow and Applejack were hanging out in their room, watching tv. Suddenly Rainbow sat up and grabbed her pillow and threw it angrily.

"I hate him".

Applejack sat up. She looked at her girlfriend. Rainbow brought her knees up to her chest, cursing under her breath.

"Woah calm down. What's all the fuss about??", she asked.

Rainbow looked at him.

"This idiot from a book I read was mouthing off the main character and calling her terrible things and being a jerk face. I wanna punch his face in and cut his head off and then stab his eyes out and then throw him off a cliff!!".

Rainbow was taking heavy breaths. She punched her pillow and pounded it into the bed.

"Stupid jerk!!".

She threw the pillow across the room. Applejack looked at Rainbow. She crawled over to her and took her hands.

"Remember. It was in a book. It didn't really happen. Now take a slow deep breath".

Rainbow copied Applejack. She calmed down.

"Thanks AJ. I guess I got carried away".

Applejack smiled. "Don't read another book taday".

Rainbow agreed. The girls laid down. Applejack could feel Rainbow's heart racing in anger. She sighed..and shook her head.

And then there was the time that Rainbow completely shut down.

Applejack walked into the room. She stopped when she saw Rainbow. The girl was staring blankly at the wall, not moving or blinking. The blonde walked up to her.

"Rainbow??"

The teen didn't respond. Applejack sat down next to her. She touched her shoulder. She looked down at the book in Rainbow's hands. She picked it up.

She read part of the page but quickly shut it. It was too scary to continue.

"What kinda book it this??", she asked putting it down.

Applejack heard mumbling. She looked up at Rainbow. The teen was mumbling.

"What did just read??. What did I just read??".

Applejack was worried for her.

"Rainbow??".

Applejack touched her shoulder. Rainbow let out a blood curdling scream as she jumped and fell to the floor. She looked up at Applejack, fear in her eyes. She relaxed.x

"Applejack. Don't do that. You nearly gave me a heart attack".

Applejack had her hand over her chest, frozen.

"What were you readin??", she asked. "Because that was scary. Are you okay??".

Applejack got up. She helped Rainbow up.

"What's your name??", she asked.

Rainbow looked at her. "Rainbow Eden Dash".

Applejack let out a sigh. She noticed Rainbow went blank again.

"Nonono. You're not going there again".

Applejack snapped her out of it. She grabbed her and picked her up.

"You're grounded from readin".

Rainbow's eyes widened.

"What??!!".

Applejack nodded. She carried the girl upstairs to the movie room.

"That book broke ya. You need ah rest from readin. Got it??".

Rainbow was set down on the sofa. Applejack popped in a movie and sat down. She passed Rainbow a bowl of buttery hot popcorn.

Rainbow snuggled into her side. She sighed. Applejack wrapped an arm around her. Rainbow laid her head on Applejack's chest. She could get use to this. Maybe a break from books wasn't so bad.
