Applejack watched Rainbow from a dastance. The way the girl's eyes were downcast and sad worried her.

What's goin on with her??

Walking over to her she wrapped her arms around her girlfriend's shoulder. Rainbow looked up at her and smiled.

"Hey".

AJ smiled back at her.

"You okay??".

Rainbow frowned and looked out into the distance.

"I guess". Applejack frowned.

"What's wrong??".

"It's nothing", Rainbow replied. She walked over to a tree out looking a field of flowers.
"Rainbow Eden Dash. I am worried about you and you better tell me or ah'm gunna make you tell me".

Rainbow turned around. "What do you mean by make me??". There was a tone of fear in her voice. Applejack recognized it immediatly.

She walked up to Rainbow Dash.

"Babe, I'm not gunna hit you. You've been through enough as a kid". She pulled her in for a hug. Rainbow, being shorter, rested her head on Applejack's chest.

"I'm sorry", she said, "I just. Don't like Mother's Day". It was mother's Day. Applejack always had Rainbow come to her house and they spent Mother and Father's Day together with the Apple family.

"Why??".

Rainbow pulled away and turned around.

"My mom was killed when I was about 6".

Tears filled her magenta hued eyes. She cross her arms as a tear ran down her cheek.

"She", Rainbow choked on her words. A sob trying to escape.

"She was always so kind to everyone and taught me to be kind and good-hearted to everyone. Even people that don't like me".

She smiled as the tears ran down her face. She felt arms wrap around her waist.

"I'm sorry", Applejack's voice was quiet.

Rainbow wiped her tears away and sighed.

"Yeah well. I'm fine".

She began to walk away when she was grabbed by her wrist. Spinning her around, the blonde pulled her in for a hug. Rainbow hugged back a few seconds later. She could feel the tears coming back. She buried her face into Applejack's shoulder and cried. She cried and cried whole Applejack held her.

When was all cried out she looked up at AJ. The two walked down the field together.

A breeze flew by the pair.

"Before my mom died in the hospital she always said to listen to the breeze. I do. And every time I do, I hear a whisper in my ear. I hear my mom".

Applejack smiled.

"Woah. There's something ya don't hear everyday".

Rainbow smiled. She tugged on Applejack to keep walking. The two walked on, hand in hand. A gentle breeze flew by. The two stopped walking. That's when they heard it. A whisper in the wind.

"Mommy loves you Rainbow".
