"Thanks Dad".

Applejack took her backpack and luggage. She hugged her uncle. Turning she helped Rainbow with her suitcase.
The two girls turned and looked at the airport. They were heading home from visiting Applejack's family in another state. They had to take a plane to get there and get home.

"You girls take care", Applejack's uncle said. "Tell your dad ah said hi".

Applejack smiled. "Will do".

They got their luggage and the two went in. They in to baggage thing. They weighed their baggage and the lady took it. Then they went into the metal detector line and checked their stuff.

Soon they were waiting waiting at the gate. They were sitting down, their bags at their feet. Rainbow was leaning on Applejack's chest. Applejack had her arm around her waist.

Rainbow suddenly pulled away. She looked up at Applejack.

"Are you nervous about something??. I can hear your heartbeat pick up".

Applejack did look a bit nervous. Rainbow deeply frowned. Applejack sighed.

"Ah just get ah little nervous on planes. Ah'm not sure why".

Rainbow laid her head on Applejack's shoulder and took her hand.

"Don't worry AJ. I'll be right next to you. We can talk and color and listen to music and sleep. It is 11 at night" after all".

Applejack smiled.

Rainbow beamed. "And I can tell you some jokes".

Applejack let out a laugh. "Sounds like uh plan".

"Now boarding gate 23 to Canterlot".

The girls got their plane boarding passes and their carry on. They got on the plane. The girls walked down the aisle.

"There they are", Applejack said. The two girls walked over to their seats. Surprisingly it was only two seats. Applejack, being the tallest, put the luggage in the overhead compartment.

Rainbow got the window seat. She sat down, pillow and blanket in hand. The teen put her backpack down at her feet. Applejack sat down. She also had a pillow and blanket. Setting her backpack down she looked at Rainbow Dash and smiled.

They waited for about 15 minutes. The flight attendant gave the safety stuff and all that.

Applejack buckled up. She also made sure Rainbow's seatbelt was fastened. The plane moved for Celestia knows how long. Then it stopped. Rainbow shut the window. She took Applejack by the hand. The blonde teen looked at her.

"Hey".

Rainbow smiled. Suddenly they felt themselves thrown back a little by the speed. The plane was going extremely fast. Applejack gripped her girlfriend's hand nervously.

Rainbow kissed her cheek, making her blush.

The plane took off. The girls let out a silent breath of relief. They relaxed.

"So", Applejack said. "What do you wanna do??".

Rainbow yawned. She scratched her neck gently. "Uh, I don't know. Color??".

Applejack took out a coloring book and colored pencils that she bought for Rainbow. The girl was like a five year old. But we all knew that.

"Here".

Handing her the stuff, Applejack watched her face light up with a grin.

Rainbow pulled her tray down. She opened her window and peeked out.

"Wow. That's so pretty", she whispered.

She smiled at Applejack. The blonde chanced a quick look. Woah. Rainbow was right. At night, the town was so bright and beautiful. She could see the ocean coming up. Applejack smiled and looked at Rainbo, who was looking out the window in awe.

She was so cute.

"You gunna color??", she asked.

Rainbow shut the window and nodded. She took the coloring pencils.
She chose a page and colored. Her tongue stuck out in concentration. Applejack had gotten her a super hero book. She really loved anything to do with super hero movies, pictures and stories.

Applejack just watched her with a smile on her face. She had forgotten she was nervous. Rainbow just had that calming effect on her, evening though Rainbow herself wasn't anywhere near being a calm person in general.

About an hour later Rainbow had colored about 3 pages. She showed them to Applejack. The blonde smiled at the pictures.

"Wow. You're really great with art. It looks amazin babe", Applejack said quietly.

Rainbow smiled proudly. She put her stuff away. She suddenly yawned. Rubbing her eyes and mumbled something under her breath. Rainbow leaned on the window tiredly.

Applejack noticed.

"Baby", she said nudging her a little.

Rainbow looked at her tiredly.

"Let go ta sleep. We have another three hours. An then we got another flight after this ta catch at four thirty".

Rainbow took off her sneakers and zipped up her sweater. Applejack pulled up a blanket for them both. The girls got their pillows. Rainbow snuggled up to Applejack. Applejack took her hand and kissed it gently.

"Ah love you", she whispered.

Rainbow giggled tiredly. "I love you too".

The girls turned their light off and fell asleep.

The girls had slept for about an hour and a half. The only time they woke up was to eat.

Applejack asked the flight attendants for two ginger ales. They both got gram cracker cookies. Applejack unzipped a pocket in her backpack and took out two sanwiches.

Rainbow took one with a smile.

"Thanks. Hmm. Peanut butter".

The girls had their snack and watched a bit of the movie that was playing. At some point of the movie Applejack pulled out a paper bag. Rainbow looked at it curiously.

Applejack smirked and took out a muffin. Rainbow beamed.

"Here ya go".

Applejack put the muffin on Rainbow's tray. It was a chocolate muffin. Rainbow was very happy now.

She ate the muffin happily. Applejack ate her sandwiches. When they were finished Applejack packed it up into the paper bag. Two girls went back to sleep.

Applejack woke up to hear a voice. She blinked and opens her tired eyes.
It must've been like one in the morning. Who in the hell could be awake at this time??.

"We are approaching Manehattan. So buckle up. We will be landing shortly. Thank you".

Applejack rubbed her eyes. She looked over at Rainbow Dash. The teen had her head on Applejack's shoulder. She looked so cute when she was asleep, slightly snoring quietly, and her hair ruffled up a bit.

Applejack didn't want to wake her up but she had to. Though she knew Rainbow, being the mentally little kid she was, would be cranky and a little moody.

She gently shook her.

"Rainbow. Babe, wake up".

Rainbow groaned and shifted. "What??".

"We gotta get up. We'll be landin' soon", Applejack said quietly.

Rainbow opened her eyes and looked around. She put her head back down. "Nooo".

Applejack chuckled. She shook her again.

"Get up".

Rainbow sighed and sat up. She rubbed her eyes and blinked a few times. She sat up straight and stretched, letting out a yawn.

The rainbow haired teen opened the window shade up. It was still dark.

"What time is it??", she asked.

Applejack took her phone out of her bag. It was 3:23am.

"Almost 3:30".

Rainbow let out of long sigh. She looked out the window again.

"I see the city lights", she said.

Applejack looked out as well. They were flying over Manehattan. Rainbow looked at the big city.

"Cool".

Rainbow Dash put her sneakers back on. Applejack made sure their seatbelts were on. The two watched as the ground got closer. Applejack noticed Rainbow Dash was tensed, her eyes shut tightly.

"You okay".

Rainbow nodded. "Just waiting to land".

Applejack took her hand.

"It's alright. No need ta be scared. Ah'm right here".

Rainbow looked at her. Suddenly there was a thump. Rainbow jumped. The plane had landed. Rainbow squeezed Applejack's hand. Applejack held her as the plane went full speed and then slowed down.

When it finally parked and stopped at the gate they picked up their bags. Rainbow put her coloring book and color pencils away in Applejack's bag.

Everyone was free to leave. They got their luggage and other stuff and left the plane.

Applejack walked through the airport, dragging Rainbow behind her by her arm.

"I'm hungryyyy", Rainbow whined out of nowhere.

Applejack looked back at her.

"Alright. Let's eat".

They found a quizznos. They ordered foir slices of pizza and a two bottles of water. The girls ate, Rainbow half asleep. Applejack had to wake her up a few times to finish eating.

Then they took a bathroom break. The girls were now ready and they walked to the gate.

Sitting down they just talked to eachother. Rainbow snuggled up to her. She sighed.

"I like plane rides".

Applejack smiled. "Me too. Because you're with me".

Rainbow giggled. She played with the bottom of Applejack's sleeve. Applejack didn't mind. Though she mind the man staring at them in disgust.

"Yes??", she called. "Can ah help ya sir??".

"Yeah. Get a room".

Rainbow looked at the man. Applejack wrapped an around her shoulder.

"First of all, she's playin with mah sleeve, so ah don't see what's so bad about that. An second, stay out of our business. Don't cha know it's rude ta stare??".

"Now all passengers at gate 12 to Canterlot may board at this time".

Applejack and Rainbow Dash got up. They picked their backpacks and other stuff and boarded the plane.

As soon as the plane took off, Rainbow kicked off her shoes. She was tired. Applejack had her lean on her shoulder. She tucked Rainbow in and pulled the blanket up.

"Gnight".

Rainbow hummed in response, drifting off.

The plane ride was only an hour so it didn't take that long. Rainbow was pretty cranky when she had to wake up. She looked mad and trudged off the plane.

They met with Applejack's dad and brother. They was there to pick them up. When they saw the girls they immediately saw an tired and cranky Rainbow. The guys took their luggage. Applejack had Rainbow Dash on her back and carried her to the car.

The car ride felt like it would never end. Applejack just listened to music on her ipod the whole way.

"Thanks guys".

Applejack's dad and brother helped carry their stuff inside. Applejack was carrying a very sleepy Rainbow Dash.

The girls left their luggage in the living room. Applejack said bye to her dad and brother. The two left. Applejack sighed. She dragged Rainbow upstairs. The girls changed their clothes.

Applejack yawned as she climbed into bed. Rainbow was already laying down, waiting for Applejack.

The blonde turned the light off. She laid down and pulled the blanket up.
Rainbow immediately snuggled up to her, wrapping an arm around her.

"Finally home", Applejack said.

Rainbow made a hmm in response. She was nodding off to sleep.

Applejack gave her a kiss on the forehead. The blonde smiled.

"Goodnight baby. Ah love you".

Rainbow shifted. "Mmve you tuh", she mumbled out sleepily.

Applejack closed her eyes and relaxed.

"Hey Applejack??"

"Yeah??".

"Can we stay here tomorrow??".

Applejack smiled. "Yeah. We can".

"Good. I don't want to leave this house for a long time".

Applejack opened her eyes, she saw Rainbow looking at her.

"As long as ah got chu, ah don't need ta be anywhere else".

It was quiet for a bit.

"That was cheesy AJ".
