Rainbow smiled. She and Applejack were hanging out in the park. Though Applejack had to keep her hands to herself. Noone was allowed to touch Rainbow Dash unless she allowed it. Every time someone did Rainbow would flinched and back away.

She wouldn't tell anyone why though and nobody asked. But Applejack thought it was about time someone did. Her.

"So how's school going fir ya??. It being the middle of the school year and all".

"I-It's good". Applejack smiled.

"That's good. So uh, can I ask ya somethin??".

Rainbow looked at her, arms wrapped around herself. She nodded.

"Why don't you like it when people touch ya??".

Rainbow looked at her. She bit her lip.

"You can tell me if ya want. You trust me right??".

Rainbow nodded. She sighed.

"I-I was abused when I was younger. My uncle hit me whenever he got the chance. My parents died when I was really young so I was stuck with it for years on end. The only time people try to touch is to hurt me".

Applejack frowned. "Ah'm so sorry that you went through that".

She wanted to hug the girl and make her feel safe but she couldn't.

Rainbow looked away.

"Ya know", Applejack said. "Not everyone and not all touches hurt you".

Rainbow scoffed. "Of coarse. Every time someone touches me is to hurt me".

"Well, can ah show ya somethin??".

Rainbow slowly nodded. Applejack reached a hand out.

"Give me your hand", she said softly.

Rainbow slowly reached a hand out. Applejack gently took it.

"Am ah hurting you??".

Rainbow shook her head.

"Do you trust me??".

Rainbow nodded. Applejack took her other hand and with one finger, touched Rainbow's hand. The teen quickly pulled away in fear.

"Hey hey hey", Applejack shshed her. "Ahh wasn't going ta hit you??".

Rainbow looked at her confused.

"You weren't??".

Applejack shook her head. "No Rainbow. Ah won't hurt cha. Can we try again??.

Rainbow nodded. She gave her her hand again. Applejack watched her as she reached her hand out a touched her palm. Rainbow didn't pull away.

The blonde teen placed a hand on her palm. Rainbow looked at her.

"Does that hurt??", Applejack asked.

Rainbow shook her head. "No.

Applejack smiled. "See. You said all touches hurt. But that didn't hurt".

Rainbow shook her head.

"See??. Not all touches hurt".

Rainbow took her hand back. She stared at it.

"I find that strange. I've never been touched without being hurt before".

Applejack felt her heart break for her friend. Rainbow was a sweet girl.

"Can ah show you another touch that doesn't hurt??".

Rainbow nodded.

"Stand up".

The girls stood up. Applejack looked at Rainbow.

"You know ah wouldn't hurt you??".
Rainbow nodded.

Applejack slowly wrapped her arms around her.

"This is a hug".

She felt Rainbow stiffen. Slowly the girl loosend up. Rainbow hugged back.

"Does it hurt??".

Rainbow shook her head.

"I like hugs", she said. "I haven't had a hug in a long time.

"Well that changes", Applejack said.

Rainbow held on. "Don't let go", she said.

"We can hug as long as you want".

Rainbow had been through alot. With her parents' death and then being abused. Then not having physical contact with anyone for years in fear of being hit.

Applejack was going to show her that not all people were out to hurt her. And that not all touches hurt.
