Applejack sighed. She walked around the studio halls. Her dad was in a meeting so she was trying to find something to do.

You see, Applejack's dad was a very important man. He was very rich and owned a few companies. Including some record companies. At the moment they were at Rainboom studios trying to get a deal on a singer. Applejack got to choose the singer. If only she could find one.

The place was so big that she was sure that she wasn't going to find anyone.

Suddenly she heard it. Music.

Heading towards the sound, she followed it to a window. Looking in she saw a girl in a recording booth, headsets on.

Applejack knew who she was. Everyone knew who she was. She was Rainbow Dash. The most famous singer in Equestria. Applejack was a bit of a fan herself. But she mostly liked her photo shoots. Her voice was amazing but Applejack had to admit. She was hot.

Applejack listened to her sing. She was perfect as always. Around the middle of the song Rainbow looked her way. She smiled at her. For the rest of the song Rainbow looked right at the blonde while she sang. Applejack smiled and listened.

When the song ended she clapped. Rainbow giggled and waved. Applejack found the door and went into the studio.

"You were amazing. As you always are".

Rainbow smiled. She held her hand out.

"Then you know me".

Applejack nodded. "And Ah'm Applejack".

Rainbow's eyes widened.

"Wait Applejack. Your dad is Dan Apples. The CEO of like a whole bunch of companies and like the richest man in Equestria??".

Applejack nodded. "Yeah".

"Woah. So what are you doing at a place like this??. Rainboom industries isn't exactly the best place to be".

"Rainbow!!".

The girls jumped. A man walked into the booth. Applejack recognized him as one of the top managers of Rainboom industries. Blake Winds was his name. He did not look happy.

"Why do you keep messing up??".

Rainbow flinched at the volume.

"We're going to start again and you still have 15 more songs to get through".

Applejack frowned.

"Now why don't you not sucks and stay focused??. Then maybe you'll sound good".

The manager left. Rainbow looked at Applejack.

"Sorry about him", she said. "He's having a bad day".

"It's like 11 at night. With 15 more songs to do and to start over again, you'll be here all night".

Rainbow shrugged.

"You get use to it. He just wants me to be perfect".

Applejack was no pleased. Rainbow Dash was the most best singer in Equestria and her manager was the worst manager in the world. That didn't go right.

"So. We have about 5 minutes before he starts to curse us out", Rainbow sighed.

She looked at Applejack.

"So. What are you doing here anyway??".

"Mah dad is lookin' fir a singer to sign with him".

Rainbow's eyes widened.

"Really??. That's so cool. Who is it??".

Applejack shrugged.

"Not sure".

Rainbow shrugged.

"Whoever your dad picks sure is lucky".

"Well Ah'll just watch from outside", Applejack said.

Rainbow nodded. Applejack walked out, closing the door. She watched Rainbow. In a few minutes music started to play. Rainbow nodded her head along to the song.

Applejack listened to her sing. She had an idea. She needed to get her dad. Getting Rainbow's attention she mouth that she would be back.

The blonde hurried down the hall. She found the conference room and quietly walked in. She saw her dad and the CEO of Rainboom industries.

"Dad", Applejack said walking over to her dad. She leaned down and whispered in his ear, "Ah think ah found the perfect artist ta sign".

Applejack's dad looked at her questioningly. She took his hand.

"Follow me. You gotta hear her".

Rainbow led the men out of the room and down the hall. They stood at the door of the booth, where Rainbow was. She had her eyes closed so she didn't notice them.

Applejack looked at her dad. He had a smile on his face. She cheered quietly.
"So you'll sign her??", she whispered.

Her dad looked at her.

"I wanna meet her".

Applejack looked at Rainbow. Rainbow finished the song. She held a hand to her throat.

"Hey can we take a break??. My throat is killing me", she said into the microphone.

"You want to take a break??", they heard a voice from the other room.  "Sure, but that means more time here. That's another half hour that we'll be here. So yeah. Take a break".

Rainbow sighed. "Nevermind. Let's go".

Applejack frowned. She looked at her dad and then at the CEO.

"That is not the kind of people I want in my business", he said.

Applejack opened the door. Rainbow turned and saw them. Her eyes widened.

"Oh hello sir", she said.

The CEO stepped into the booth. Applejack and her dad followed.

"Where is your maanager??", he asked.

Blake came out of the other room.

"Oh hello sir", he said.

"Why is she here so late??".

Blake sighed. "Well sir. We've been here all day. She can't sing right so we've been at it. She still needs to sing 15 more songs by tomorrow for the cd".

The CEO frowned.

"It's almost midnight. She should be home resting her voice, not losing it".

He looked around the studio. He saw coffee cups and Hals rappers on the table nearby.

"Are you crazy??. What kind of manager treats their artist like that??. You're done here".

Rainbow looked at him.

"Then who's my manager now??. I have to get this cd out by the end of the week".

Applejack smiled. "Mah dad would like ta sign you".

Rainbow looked at her shocked. She looked at the man.

"Are you serious??".

Applejack's dad nodded.

"You're ready the biggest popstar in Equestria. We're the biggest signing company. So together well shoot for the world. What do you say??".

Rainbow smiled. "Okay". She put a hand over her mouth. A look of fear covered her face. Her voice was so low and scratchy.

"Come on", CEO said. "You need to get home and rest".

Rainbow nodded. She could feel the coffee wearing her down. Rainbow Dash got her jacket. The four walked out of the studios. Applejack looked at her. Rainbow Dash looked tired.

"Ah could drive ya home", she offered.

"I can drive your father home", the CEO said.

Applejack nodded. She and Rainbow headed to her car and got in. She wrote down the address and gave it to her. Applejack drove on down to her house. The house was pretty cool.

She and Rainbow Dash went inside. Rainbow took off her jacket and threw it on the couch. Applejack looked around.

"Nice place".

Rainbow smiled tiredly.

"How about ah make ya some tea??".

"You don't have-".

Applejack cut her off. "No speakin. You'll lose your voice completely".

Rainbow sighed. She sat on the couch and watched Applejack find the stuff for tea. She made two cups and pour them.

"Here ya go".

Rainbow got up and walked over to the counter. She picked up the mug and smiled. She took a sip. She sighed dreamily.

"Good right??".

Rainbow nodded. The two drank in silence. Rainbow looked up at the blonde girl.

"You sing??", she mouthed.

Applejack nodded. "Country".

Rainbow smiled. After a few minutes she cleared her throat.

"Woah this tea does wonders", she said.

She laughed. She looked at Applejack.

"Why me??".

Applejack looked at her confused.

"Why did you choose me to sign with your dad??".

Applejack shrugged. "Ah guess you're just speacial. Plus you needed ah new manager".

Rainbow nodded in agreement.

"So", Applejack said. "You're gunna love workin with mag dad. He ain't gunna work you ta death".

Rainbow smiled. "That's good. You won't believe how many times I've had to cancel an interview because I lost my voice".

Applejack frowned. "Is that why you barely do interviews??".

Rainbow nodded. She shrugged.

"I'd rather gain my voice back than be on national TV and not be able to say a word".

Applejack agreed. She looked at the time. She stood up.

"Well. Ah gotta go. Get ah ton of rest. Mah dad will give you a few days ta get your voice back and then a few days just ta relax. Don't worry about the dead line. You're with us so mah dad will handle that. Ah'm sure your fans will understand".

Rainbow looked reliefed.

"Thank you so much Applejack", Rainbow said walking her to the dooe. She opened it.

Applejack smiled. She walked out onto the porch. "Well. You can repay me".

"How??", Rainbow asked.

"A duet. And maybe go with me some time fir lunch".

Rainbow smiled. "Deal".
