"Rainbow??. Where are you??".

She walked around the house. She looked in each room as she passed them.

"Come on babe. The man's gone. You can come out now!!".

Applejack walked into her and Rainbow's bedroom. She decided to check under the bed. Kneeling she looked under. She smiled.

"Hey there".

Rainbow looked at her in the dark on the shadows. Her eyes glowed.

Applejack laid on her stomach.

"Come here girl".

Rainbow growled at her. Something she rarely did. Only when she was upset, but that was rare as well.

Applejack frowned.

"Rainbow??. What's wrong??".

"Nothing. Just leave me alone".

"No", Applejack said. "Now tell me".

Rainbow growled again but Applejack wasn't afraid. She never had been afraid of Rainbow. Even when they first met and Rainbow had tried to attack her a few times.

You see, Rainbow was a wolf hybrid. She had wolf ears and a tail. She had the keen senses of a wolf and the agility of one too.

Rainbow had been born in a scientist lab as an experiment.

Applejack knew this but still thought she was amazing. Everyone stared at Rainbow in disgust or curiosity.

It bothered Rainbow but she didn't let it show.

"Rainbow. Come on girl. Come here".

Rainbow stopped growling and stared at her.

Applejack smiled at her. "Hey cutie. What cha doing??".

"I don't like that man".

Applejack frowned. "Why??".

Rainbow looked away.

"Rainbow Dash", Applejack said seriously.

"I need to know why".

Rainbow looked at her.

"That man is the reason I'm a freak".

Applejack frowned. "Hey, who told you you were ah freak??".

"It's quite obvious that I am", Rainbow said.

"It's mean, I'm half wolf".

Applejack drummed her fingers on the floor. That got Rainbow's attention. The girl looked at the moving hand. She followed the quick motion with her eyes.

Applejack stopped and looked at Rainbow.

"Come here RD".

She got on her knees. Finally, Rainbow crawled from underneath the bed. She sat in front of AJ.

"So, what's goin on??", Applejack asked.

Rainbow Dash sighed.

"That guy wasn't he man that turned me into this. He experimented on me since birth".

Applejack'seyes widened.

"Really??".

Rainbow nodded. She suddenly felt a hand on her head. She snapped up, teeth bared.

She stopped when she saw Applejack.
Calming down she said, "sorry".

Applejack smiled. "It's fine. Ah know ya didn't mean it. Wanna go fir a walk??".

Rainbow nodded smiling. She jumped off the couch and headed towards the leash hanging by the door.

Applejack smiled at her. She put on Rainbow's collar and leash. She hated having to put Rainbow on a leash. But Rainbow insisted saying that it would keep everyone safe.

Applejack, being a protective girlfriend, gave in. Just to keep Rainbow and the people around her safe.

The two headed out. Rainbow walked on all fours. It was quite interesting. Though despite being part human, she was able to run and walk exactly like a wolf. Like EXACTLY like a wolf.

The two walked past people. Applejack had Rainbow walk beside her. The tiny girl hated when there were people around.

Every single time a person passed by she would look up at them as they eyed her in disgust.

"Why don't you lock it away in a cage??", a man sneered as he passed.

Rainbow growled at him but kept walking. The taunts kept coming every so often.

When they reached the park Rainbow was walking with her ears low, her tail between her legs.

Applejack noticed and stopped. Kneeling she said, "It's okay. They just don't understand you and what you are".

Rainbow nodded. "Alright".

Applejack pet her head. Rainbow smiled and leaned into the touch.

"Ew. Please. Put that thing away!!".

The two looked around. They saw a woman holding her kids close.

"Get that flea bag out of this park", she snapped.

Applejack stood up.

"Okay. First of all. We can be here if we want. An second, you should mind your own business. You can leave too ya know".

The woman looked offended.

"That dirty little flea bag doesn't belong in this city. Or any city", she said looking at Rainbow.

"Let's go", she mumbled dragging her kids away.

The little kids turned around and looked at them. They gave her a sorry look.

Applejack smiled at them.

They kept walking. Applejack and Rainbow walked over to a willow. Willow tree.

Sitting down AJ looked around to see that noone was there.

Standing she reached into a bag and took out a toy. Rainbow lit up.

"Ya see the toy??".

Rainbow sat up, her full attention on the toy.

"Now stay there".

Applejack backed up.

Rainbow whimpered.

"Stay".

Applejack took. A few more steps. Turning she tossed the toy.

"Go get it!!".

Rainbow raced towards the toy. She felt her pulse racing, wind in her hair.
She loved every moment of it. She picked up the toy in her mouth and trotted over to Applejack proudly.

Spitting the toy back out she smiled at the blonde.

"Hey, freak!!".

Rainbow turned around. She saw a group kids from Applejack's school standing there.

"Who's that??".

Rainbow growled standing up. Her claws came out. Her eyes narrowed and glowed.

Applejack looked at them.

"Get out of here before she attacks. She doesn't have at leash on so she might try ta bite cha".

One boy laughed.

"Yeah right. Come here little doggy".

Kneeling he whistled. That only made Rainbow more angry. She got low to the ground.

"Rainbow, stop".

But Rainbow was beyond listening to her. She took off towards the teens. Pouncing on the boy she pushed him to the ground.

The boy yelped. He looked up at the snarling girl on top of him.

She looked ready to rip his throat out. He gulped.

"Nice wolf thing. Please don't kill me".

Rainbow stopped growling. She calmed herself down.

"I may be a freak, but im no monster".

She got off of him and backed away.

"Im sorry if I hurt you".

Turned she ran away.

Applejack ran after her. Rainbow Dash was much faster and out ran the teen.

Applejack kept her eyes on Rainbow's figure. She followed her all the way back home. Rainbow stopped in front of the door.

"Rainbow!!".

Rainbow turned around. She saw Applejack standing there, catching her breath.

The blonde walked up to the front door and unlocked it. They went in. Rainbow walked upstairs to her room. She crawled onto the bed and laid down, curled up.

Applejack walked in.

"Rainbow??".

The blonde kneeled down I front of her.

"I didn't mean to hurt anyone", Rainbow said, her eyes tearing up.

"I know baby. I know".

"Can I ask you something??", Rainbow asked in a shy voice.

Applejack nodded.

"Why do you like me??".

The question caught the blonde of guard. She looked up the hybrid girl.

"Well, you're beautiful. You're athletic, you are such a caring person. You protect the ones you love. You're one of kind".

Rainbow snorted. "Yeah. If by one of a kind you mean freak, then yes".

Applejack frowned. "You aren't ah freak. Babe, look at me".

Rainbow looked up at the blonde.

"I love you fir you. You're speacial an unique an I love that bout cha".

Rainbow sniffled.

"I almost killed someone".

Applejack shrugged. "Still love you".

Rainbow looked at her. "Applejack. I'm a monster and tonight is a full moon. You know what that means".

Applejack nodded. The full moon was when Rainbow would turn into a full wolf. All her human thoughts and morals flew out the window and she was dangerous.

So in the basement, on the night of a full moon she would chain Rainbow up. She would leave dead animals that she got from a hunter she knew. Rainbow would need to feed on something and if it wasn't the animals, it would be a human.

Rainbow always insisted that Applejack spend the night somewhere else during full moons. Quite the opposite happens. Applejack has friends over on that night for a sleepover and to keep Applejack safe.

Applejack hated full moon nights. She would hear Rainbow fighting herself to not become a monster as she called it.

Rainbow told her that it hurt every time and Applejack would hear the cry of pain from Rainbow. Then she would hear snarling and growling coming from the basement. Then she would hear the chains moving when Rainbow ate the dead animals.

Then if Applejack stayed awake long enough she would hear Rainbow crying in pain as she transformed back. Once when she watched the painful transformation, she had tears in her eyes.

Rainbow had went unconscious once she was back to her normal hybrid self.

Applejack nodded. "I know".

Rainbow looked at the time. It was 6:36 pm.

She sighed.

"I hate this", she grumbled.

Applejack nodded.

"Ah hate havin ya go through all that alone".

"I still think you should got over to Twilight's house tonight. I don't want you or the girls to get hurt".

Applejack shook her head.

"I'll be alright. You woudnt hurt us".

Rainbow looked at her.

"But the beast would".

Applejack frowned.

"Stop it. You aren't ah beast".

"You haven't seen my full moon self".

"Ah have. Once and ya do look scary but ya don't look like a monster".

Rainbow raised an eyebrow.

"When??".

"A few months ago. I stood on the stairs an watched. You looked like it hurt".

Rainbow nodded.

"Applejack, you shouldn't be down there with me. What if I had seen you??".

Applejack pet her head.

"What if I had seen you and I".

Rainbow looked away.

"I could have killed you AJ. Please, I wouldn't be able to handle it if I hurt you during the full moon. I wouldn't be able to hold back and stop myself".

Tears ran down her face.

"I could have killed you", she whispered.

Applejack shook her head, taking her in her arms.

"Baby. Look at me".

Rainbow slowly looked up at her.

"Ah know what ah did was insane and crazy. I know what I was doing. Yes, I know what coulda happened ta me. I coulda died. But you know what??. I wasn't thinking of that. I wasn't afraid".

Rainbow cocked her head to the side confused.

"Why??. Everyone's afraid of me".

Applejack smiled. "Everyone but me".

Taking Rainbow's hand Applejack said, "Babe. Ah don't see what's so scary about you. You're not scary. All ah see is a puppy".

Rainbow snickered.

"No ah mean it. Ah don't see a wolf in ya. Ah see a lil puppy that just wants ta be loved an cared fir".

Rainbow looked down then back up at her. She didn't say anything.

"You're crazy".

Applejack laughed.

"Maybe. But ah love you. Who cares what anyone else says. A monster??. Yeah right. They don't see what ah see".

Rainbow smiled.

"That means alot".

Applejack kissed her lips gently. Rainbow kissed back, ears raised, tail wagging.

Pulling away Applejack smiled.

Suddenly they heard the doorbell ring.

Rainbow ran out of the room.and downstairs.

"They're here!!", she yelled.

Opening the door she smiled at Applejack's friends.

"Hey guys".

The girls smiled and walked in.

"Hello Rainbow", Rarity greeted.

"Ready for a full moon??", Rainbow asked.

The girls nodded. Twilight placed a hand on her shoulder.

"You don't mind if I check out th E chains downstairs??. To make sure they're strong enough to hold you".

Rainbow nodded.

Twilight put her bag down and walked towards the basement.

The other girls stood there.

"Hey guys".

Applejack walked in.

"Rainbow here was just tellin me a bit about the full moon thing and says that we shouldn't be here when it happens".

The girls looked at Rainbow Dash.

"Oh Rainbow. You know we can handle ourselves", Rarity said.

"I know. But what if-".

Applejack cut her off.

"No!!. No what ifs".

Rainbow shut her mouth.

"It's getting late and you girls need to be settled in before midnight".

The girls headed upstairs. They got their stuff ready. Rainbow got them their beds in the room since she was the strongest. When they finished she stood up. Looking at the clock it read 8:00.

"Well we have a few hours to kill. Let's watch a spy movie!!".

Rainbow tugged on Applejack's hand. The blonde laughed and said, "Okay Rainbow. Ah'm comin".

They went downstairs to the living room and put on a movie. It took three hours. Twilight stood up and stretched.

"That movie never gets old".

Applejack looked at Rainbow. She was staring out the window.

"Rainbow??. You alright babe??".

Rainbow looked at her. Her eyes were glowing blood red color. The girls froze in place as Rainbow stared at them. The red away a few seconds later.

Her eyes went back to pink. Rainbow looked around.

"What happened??".

Applejack looked at the girls then at Rainbow Dash.

"It's time to go downstairs".

Rainbow looked at her.

"Okay".

She stood up. The girls got up. They all walked downstairs into the basement. It was always dark down there.

There was a small window that gave them a perfect view of where the moon would be.

Rainbow sat against the wall. Applejack put on the chains. Their eyes stayed glued to eachother the whole time.

"This okay??".

Rainbow nodded.

Applejack looked down at the chains then up at Rainbow.

"I love you, okay??".

Rainbow nodded. "I know. I love you too".

Applejack kissed her cheek.

They got the other stuff ready. Fluttershy handled the carcasses. Placing them on the floor she looked at Rainbow.

"Hope you like them. I got these just for you".

Rainbow smiled.

"Thanks Fluttershy".

Applejack looked at the time.

"It's almost midnight. We should head up".

The girls looked at Rainbow and Applejack.

"Remember to lock your door", Rainbow said.

Applejack gave her a kiss.

"Remember", she said. "Ah don't see ya as a monster. Ah see ya as a little puppy. You don't scare me".

Standing up she waved. The girls hurried up the stairs. They closed the door and locked it. The girls went up to the room.

Sitting down the girls were silent. Suddenly they heard a cry.

"Ah!!".

Rainbow was transforming. The girls looked at Applejack. The blonde clutched the blanket in her hands as she listened to Rainbow crying in pain. It was over in a few minutes.

Then came the rattling chains. Feeding time.

The girls stayed together, talking. Trying to ignore the clatter of chains.

"Ah can't wait fir this to be over", Applejack sighed.

The girls nodded.

"I'm sure she's fine", Rarity assured her.

The girls sat through the sounds. Th ey watched a movie, ate popcorn, watched videos. But the sound was always heard.

"It should be finished by now".

It was 3 am. Rainbow should be back to normal. The girls headed downstairs. Unlocking the basement door the quietly crept down the stairs. Peeking around the corner they froze.

Rainbow wasn't back to normal yet!! They were early!!.

"Go!!", AJ whispered.

The girls tiptoed towards the stairs.

They heard a growl. Shit.

Applejack turned around. There stood Rainbow Dash. She looked different. Her eyes were a blood red color. Teeth as sharp as knives showed as she let out a snarl. Her ears were back. She now had sharp claws instead of nails.

The girls froze in place.

"Rainbow. It's us. Applejack, Twilight, Pinkie, Rarity, and Fluttershy".

Rainbow continued to growl. She was right. Rainbow wasn't Rainbow anymore.

The girls backed up against the nearest wall. Applejack stood protecting the girls.

She stared down her girlfriend.

Rainbow had a killer look in her eyes.

Suddenly she pounced. The girls screamed. Applejack lunged to the side, Rainbow following her. Rainbow was now above her, snarling down at her.

Applejack was completely calm.

"Rainbow", she said sternly. "I'm not afraid of you".

Rainbow stopped growling for a second. She backed up, shaking her head.

"A-Applejack??".

The girl's voice was dark and something you'd see out of a movie.

Rainbow looked up at her. Her eyes flashed from Red to pink to red again.
Rainbow gasped in breaths. She stood up.

Applejack stood up. The girls ran over to her.

"Are you alright??", Twilight asked.

AJ nodded. "I'm okay".

Applejack looked at Rainbow. She could tell Rainbow was fighting against herself.

"I-", Rainbow said taking a step towards them. She fought against every step. She was trying to stop herself and the girls could see that it hurt to do so.

Rainbow grunted. "I. Can't. Hurt. Y-You".

Applejack felt her heart break at the sight.

Rainbow's hands reached out.

"MUST. KILL", She groaned.

She pulled her arms back. Her body was shaking from holding herself back. She was doing her best to keep her monster side back. She was protecting them from herself.

"Can't hurt you".

Rainbow fell to her hands and knees gasping.

"No".

Suddenly Rainbow began to change. He claws retracted. Her sharp teeth shrunk to her canines teeth. Rainbow cried in pain.

"Ahhh!!".

Applejack knelt beside her.

"Rainbow. Ah'm right here".

Rainbow looked at her gasping.

"It hurts so much", she cried.

"It know baby", Applejack said comfortingly.

She took the girl's hand.

"It's gunna be alright. We're right here".

Rainbow had her eyes shut tight. She clenched her teeth together. Tears ran down her face.

Finally the transformation was done. Rainbow collapsed to the floor. The girls crowded around her. Applejack picked her up in her arms.

Pinkie took off the chains. She looked at Rainbow worriedly.

"Is she gunna be okay??".

Applejack looked down at the unconscious wolf girl in her arms.

"She'll be fine. Just needs alot of rest. C'mon".

They went upstairs to their room laying Rainbow down AJ looked at the time 3:55am.

"We should go ta sleep".

Laying down Applejack looked at Rainbow, who was asleep next to her.
She reached out and gently touch her cheek. The light was turned off.

They said their good nights and fell asleep.

Applejack woke up the next day to fine the girls gone. There was a note on the bed.

Picking it up she read, 'We thought it would be best for Rainbow Dash to wake up to only you in the room. See you in school'.

Applejack put the note down and looked at Rainbow. The girl was still asleep.

Suddenly Rainbow sat up with a gasp.

She sat there for a second. She turned to Applejack.

"Applejack. I-".

Applejack hugged the teen. Rainbow cried into her shirt.

"I was going to kill you", she cried.

Pulling away she looked at her.

"Why were you down there??".

Applejack laughed slightly.

"We thought that the full moon was over but we came down too early but when we tried ta leave, ya saw us".

"Applejack. You're suppose to stay upstairs the whole night and not come down till morning. What is wrong with you??. I could have hurt you".

Rainbow stood up. She ran her hands through her hair.

She looked at the blonde.

"I could have killed you Applejack. Don't you get it??. I'm dangerous. A monster. Why do you do this??. You stay when you should run and hide. Why??".

Applejack got out of bed.

"Because", she said. "You're not a monster to me".

Rainbow walked up to her.

Applejack gently pet her ears.

Rainbow leaned into the touch. She wagged her tail.

"See??", Applejack laughed.

The two sat on the floor. Applejack wrapped an arm around Rainbow's waist and pulled her close.

"They don't see what ah see".

Rainbow looked at her.

"And Ah'm proud of ya".

Rainbow raised a questioning brow.

"Why??", she asked.

Applejack smiled.

"Because, you were holding yourself back. You were controlling your full moon self. You could have killed me but you didn't".

Rainbow laid her head on her shoulder.

"Ugh my body still hurts from that".

Applejack stood up and picked her up.

The two laid in bed. Applejack touched her cheek. The Rainbow haired girl let her pet her.

"Good girl Rainbow. Good girl".
