The next few months were the best of Rainbow's life. Applejack came to visit whenever possible. Rainbow always had a smile on her face. Rainbow's celebrity crush had turned into a personal crush. She got to know Applejack on a personal level and Applejack did the same with her. They both liked eachother but kept it a secret.

Also Rainbow had start to respond to the treatment. After all these years she was improving. Her friends and brother couldn't be happier for her.

"I think she'll be just fine".

Soarin smiled. Rainbow could finally come home. Her blood disease was almost completely cleared up. She was responding well to the physical therapy and she could now walk almost on her own.

But her doctor told her to always have someone with her when she went out and to use a walker in the house.

Rainbow nodded and agreed. She told Applejack and the blonde was so happy.

"That's amazin'. Ah'm so proud of you".

Rainbow smiled. "You are??".

Applejack nodded. "Yup. Ah am".

Applejack hugged her. Rainbow let her heart beating a mile a minute.
The next week Rainbow was discharged and sent home. Applejack was there to help her. Rainbow was happy to be home again. Everything was back to normal. But then....... it all came crashing down.

Applejack's phone rang. She was about to start an interview at the radio station.

"Hello??".

"Applejack??. It's Soarin".

He sounded upset. Applejack frowned.

"What's wrong??".

"It's Rainbow. She collasped today in our house. She had to be rushed to the hospital. I'm at the hospital with Pinkie and Fluttershy".

"I'll be there in a bit. Just stay strong".

"Okay. See ya".

Applejack hung up. She walked over to her manager.

"Ah gotta go. It's Rainbow. She's in the hospital again".

Her manager nodded.

"Go. I'll cancel the interview and meet cha there".

Applejack walked out. She had one of her security drive her to the hospital. The entire time she kept thinking.

Please let her be okay.

They arrived. Applejack got out and walked into the hospital. Of coarse a few people recognized her. She smiled and kept going. She made it to Rainbow's room. She saw Pinkie, Fluttershy and Soarin there, all worried looks on their faces.

Applejack walked up to them.

"What happened??", she asked.

Soarin looked at her and sighed.

"She just collapsed out of nowhere. I caught her so she wasn't injured. I don't know what's wrong with her. I thought the doctor said she was fine".

Applejack sighed. "Me too. Where is she right now??".

"They took her to take a scan", Fluttershy answered.

"Well. All we can do is wait", Applejack said.

She sat on the floor against the wall. The four talked while they waited. It seemed like forever. Until finally they saw Twilight. She came up to them.

"Well??", Soarin said. "How is she??".

Twilight sighed. "It seems that the disease wasn't as cured as we thought and taking her off the medication made it come back. And that resulted in her going into a coma".

It was silent. Noone knew what to say next.

"We're going to bring her back in and hook her up to the IV. If we can get her back on the medication she will wake up. But when??. We don't know. But she's strong. She'll get through it. Though I feel bad for Rainbow when she wakes up. She'll be in alot of pain".

Twilight smiled at Soarin and placed a hand in his shoulder.

"She'll be okay".

Twilight walked away with a sigh. The group was quiet. Applejack couldn't believe it. A coma??. Her Rainbow was in a coma.

She heard the sound of wheels and looked up. She saw the doctors coming. They had Rainbow on a bed, unconscious. They watched as Rainbow was unhooked and picked up. The doctors walked into the room and set her down. They hooked her back to the IVS and fluids and heart monitor and left.

The teens walked into the hospital room. They could only stare at Rainbow Dash. Applejack walked over to the bed and took a chair. She sat there staring at the girl.

"It isn't fair".

Applejack looked up at the others. Fluttershy was crying.

"Rainbow doesn't deserve this. It's not fair".

Applejack smiled.

"Hey. She'll be alright", Applejack said softly. "We just gotta hope that she wakes up soon. But ah know she will".

Applejack looked back at the unconscious girl. Reaching out she took her hand.

"She's strong".

Days went by and nothing. Her heart was going strong. She was her normal self as before, well.... you know... with the blood thing....you get it....

So anyway. Her friends visited everyday when they weren't in school. Applejack came whenever she could. She was also in another movie. But she made time to visit and see how Rainbow was doing.

Today Applejack was free so she decided to go to the hospital early. She knew that Rainbow's friends wouldn't be there until later but she wanted to be alone with Rainbow.

She got to the hospital and walked in. Applejack went to Rainbow's room. She passed by Twilight in the hall. The doctor smiled and waved. Applejack smiled backed and said, "Hey Twi. How's it goin??".

"Nothing much. I'll come in the room in a little while to refill the IV".

Applejack nodded. She walked into the room, closing the glass door. She looked at Rainbow. Applejack walked over to the bed and sat down. She looked at the girl.

"Hey Rainbow", she said. "We're workin on a new movie. It's gunna be starrin me, Shining Armor and Rarity. It's an action movie. Ah think you're gunna love it".

Applejack laughed slightly.

"Ah miss you. Ah miss your voice. Ah love it when you talk. Ah miss your laugh, your smile. Ah miss lookin into your eyes. Honestly ah could look into your eyes all day".

Applejack looked at her hands.

"Ah know you probably can't hear me but........ Ah like you. I've kinda had a crush on ya fir a while now. It's just somethin about cha that ah can't explain. Ah don't know if you feel the same but ah just wanted ta finally get that off mah chest".

Applejack reached out and took Rainbow's hand. She was surprised when she felt a weak squeeze. Applejack looked at the hand in shock. She gently squeezed her hand and then relaxed. Rainbow responded by squeezing back.

She looked at her Rainbow. She gasped. Rainbow's eyes fluttered open. She blinked a few times. Her face was scrunched up in pain.

"Ahh".

Applejack smiled.

"Rainbow".

The teen heard her and looked at her.

"A-Applejack??".

Applejack nodded. "Yeah. It's me".

She suddenly frowned. "Do you feel any pain??".

Rainbow nodded. "It hurts so much".
Applejack held her hand. She looked for the remote. She found it and picked it up. Pressing the nurse call button she held it down and then released.

"The nurse will be here soon".

Twilight suddenly walked in.

"What's the matt-". Twilight stopped. "Oh my gosh. You're awake".

Applejack looked at Twilight.

"Yeah. She is", Applejack said. "She feels the pain you said she would when she woke up".

Twilight nodded. She saw Rainbow's face and said, "I'll be right back".

She turned and left the room. Applejack looked back at Rainbow. The teen was in serious pain. Applejack hated that she couldn't help her.

"I'll hurts Applejack", Rainbow groaned.

"Ah know Rainbow. Ah know".

Rainbow smiled. "Y-You know. I-I heard what you said. I like you too".

Applejack was shocked. "You do??".

Rainbow nodded smiling.

"Yeah. I've always had a crush on you but it was a celebrity crush but now it's more of a like crush".

Applejack smiled.

"So what now??", Rainbow asked.

Applejack laughed. "Now let's focus in you getting back to normal. Well not normal but the way you were before. You know what ah mean".

Rainbow giggled. "Yeah. I do. The way I've been for three years. Sick but not sick".

She made a face. A whimper escaped her. Applejack touched her cheek.

"It's gunna be alright".

Rainbow nodded. She took a few breathes through the pain.

"With you here, I know I'll be okay".

Applejack kissed her on the forehead.

Soon the doctors came in. They asked Rainbow questions like how she felt and stuff. They changed her IV stuff and had her take a few medicines. After a while she was left alone. The others came in. Rainbow was so happy to see Soarin. He hugged her for what seemed like hours.

"You scared me Rainbow", he sighed. "Got me worked up and everything".

Rainbow smiled. "Well I'm fine. I think".

They spent the rest of the evening watching a movie on the tv. It was soon dark and they all had fallen asleep. Applejack had woken up. She looked around, rubbing her eyes. It was dark in the room. She looked at Rainbow who was awake. The teen was staring at the wall.

"Hey".

Rainbow jumped and looked at her. She laughed quietly.

"You scared me".

Applejack smiled. "What's up??. Not tired??".

"I'm just thinking. About everything that's gone on. It's alot to take in".

Applejack nodded. She reached out an took her by the hand.

"How can you handle it??. All the hospital stuff. Being stuck here. Needles, IVS, scans. Boredom. Being sick??".

Rainbow shrugged. "It's my life. I guess it sucks cuz this is a part of my teenage life that I'll never get back".

Applejack frowned. That was true.

"But you get use to it".

Applejack ran her thumb over her soft skin.

"But you'll always have me when things get rough. Remember that".

Rainbow looked at her. "I will??".

Applejack nodded. "Yeah. Of coarse I have mah life and mah job. But I will always be there if you need me. Ah will. No matter where ah am, if you need me and ah can get to ya, Ah'll find ah way".

Rainbow smiled. "I never thought of find someone that would like me like that. I thought I'd never find someone to love me".

Applejack smiled. "Well ah do. And no blood disease, coma or physical condition is gunna change that. You're mah girl".

Rainbow smiled at her. They stared at eachother in the dark. Rainbow scooted over. She patted the empty space. Applejack carefully sat on the bed and prompt herself up on her elbow.

The blonde smiled down at her. Slowly she leaned down and kissed her. Rainbow kissed back. She had never been thing happy in her life. Applejack pulled away and laid down. She wrapped arm around her waist.

"You know", Applejack said. "You're mah celebrity crush".

Rainbow smiled at her.

"I'm not a celebrity Aj".

Applejack smiled back. "In mah eyes you are".
