Applejack couldn't believe it. Rainbow Dash was wearing a long sleeved shirt. IT WAS SUMMER. Also 90 degrees outside. Applejack had noticed Rainbow had been acting strange the past few months. She always wore long sleeves, never let anyone touch her, and would never let anyone touch her wrists. The other girls didn't seem to notice but this was Applejack's girlfriend. Yup girlfriend. The two had been dating for 2 years now. Applejack loved Rainbow and was really worried about her. She had a thought as of why Rainbow was acting so weird but shook it off. She wasn't sure and hoped she was wrong.

"Applejack".

Applejack looked up. Rarity was sitting next to her, her legs crossed. "Yeah??".

Rarity leaned over and whispered, "Look at Rainbow Dash".

AppleJack's eyes snack over to her girlfriend.

"She has a bruise on her chest, you can see it clearly from here. All the others saw it too".

AJ gave her a worried look and looked back at Rainbow. Pinkie was playing with her hair. AJ's eyes widened. There was a black and purple bruise just peeking out from the neck of Rainbow's shirt.

"What the??". Applejack's eyes roamed over Rainbow, checking for any other visible bruise.

Suddenly her eyes snapped up to the girl's face. Rainbow had a black bruise just under her eye. It was really small and almost unnoticeable, but it was there. Applejack looked at Rarity. The fashionista had a worried look on her face.

"You don't think", She started. Applejack shook her head.

"She would have told me". Rarity gave a comforting hand. "This is situation in which a person would be ashamed or afraid to tell some one".

Looking back at Rainbow, AJ felt guilty. Rainbow was smiling, but inside she knew Rainbow was suffering. She caught Pinkie's stare. The girl pointed her Rainbow then at her own chest. She was telling her about the bruise.

"I know", AJ mouthed.

Pinkie had a sad frown on her face but smiled when Rainbow looked back at her. Rainbow reached a hand up and pulled her shirt, covering the bruise. Suddenly Fluttershy got her attention. Pinkie, Applejack, and Rarity looked at the animal expert. She rested her head on her hand and prompt it on her elbow. She tapped her face right below the eye and motioned to Rainbow. She was showing them the bruise on Rainbow's face.

"I know", AJ mouthed.

The blonde suddenly said, "Hey Babe, we gotta talk and no I'm not breaking up with you".

Rainbow looked at AJ. Applejack patted the seat next to her. Rainbow stood up and moved over to Applejack and sat down.

"Babe. Where did that bruise come from??", Applejack asked.

"What bruise??", Rainbow tried to lie, a confused look on her face.

AJ sighed. "Rainbow we all see the bruise on your chest and the one below your eye". Rainbow unconsciously pulled her sleeves down.

"You've been wearing that shirt all month. Don't ya have other clothes??".

Rainbow rolled her eyes.

"Of coarse I have other clothes, I just don't wear them around you".

AJ looked unconvinced. "Uh huh. Listen babe, we're not here to gang up on ya. Ah wouldn't do that to ya. I'm just worried".

"Well you shouldn't be. Nothing is going on".

Suddenly Rainbow's phone rang. Rainbow took her phone out of her skirt pocket and answered.

"H-Hello??".

She sounded nervous. Suddenly a voice was heard through the speaker.

"What the hell?!! Get home now bitch or else you'll be sleeping outside again!!". Rainbow winced at the volume.

"Yes Dad".

The girls looked at eachother. Why would her dad speak to her that way??.

"Are you with those girls??. I told you to stay away from them!!. Especially that country girl. Wouldn't want them to catch your fag disease". The girls' eyes widened. Rainbow blushed when she realized the girls could hear.

"Dad don't-".

"I SAY WHAT I WANT AND I'M TELLING YOU TO GET HOME AND CLEAN THE WHOLE DAMN HOUSE OR ELSE I'LL COME GET YOU MYSELF!!".

Rainbow stood up walked over to the corner.

"You wouldn't want anything to happen to your friends now would you??". They could hear the smirk in his voice.

Rainbow eyes widened. She turned to look at the girls.

"No don't touch. I'll come home. Just-". She looked back. "Just don't hurt my friends".

The girls gaped at her. They had heard every word. Rainbow was being blackmailed by her dad. Applejack stood up. She heard a sniffle come from her girlfriend. That was it for her.

Applejack stood up. Rainbow sighed.

"Okay".

She hung up. Rainbow sighed. She turned to the girls with a smile on her face.

"Yeah, I gotta go home. My dad's worried about me".

She walked up to Applejack. AJ took her shoulders.

"Babe you know damn well that your dad don't give a shit about you". AJ looked at her girlfriend.

Rainbow looked at the ground.

"Babe. Why didn't you tell me??".

Finally Rainbow said, "I thought you wouldn't care". She looked at the ground ashamed.

"Wouldn't care?? Rainbow of coarse I would care, I love you". She placed a finger under Rainbow's chin and lifted her face up.

"Can you give us a bit??". The girls nodded. Twilight walked up to her. "Remember Rainbow. We love you, we're here for you".

They left. Rainbow sighed and crossed her arms. Applejack wrapped her arms around her waist.

"Now come on. Tell me the truth. Why do you only wear these clothes??".

Rainbow looked at the floor. "You won't laugh??".

"Rainbow. Of coarse not". She took the girl's hands. Rainbow took a breath.

"I only have 2 outfits of clothes. No jacket, one pair of shoes. Two shirts, one jeans, this skirt. That's all the clothes I have".

Applejack couldn't believe it. "What??". She saw the fear in the girl's eyes. Fear of being left behind. Fear of not being cared for. Fear Applejack leaving her.

"What do ya eat??". Rainbow shook her head.

"I don't eat. We don't have food at home and I have to look for food in the garbage cans. Plus I don't have money to buy things at school".

Rainbow looked down. "So I don't get to eat everyday". Suddenly a growl came from her stomach. "But you get used to it".

Applejack suddenly shouted. "Twilight!!". Rainbow shushed. "Shh no it's okay!!. Don't tell them!!". The girls came in.

"What wrong??".

Applejack looked down at the shorter girl.

"When was the last time you ate??".

Rainbow scratched her neck and grumbled, "3 days ago".The girls gasped.

"Well the trash cans outside of school were empty every time when I looked and may dad doesn't buy food for the house. So I had no choice".

AJ said, "You could have asked us for food".

Rainbow sighed, "I didn't want you guys to find out. You would ask why I wanted food and why I couldn't just eat at home". She rubbed her arm. She suddenly hissed. Applejack noticed and said, "Are ya hurt??".

Rainbow hesitated for a minute before she nodded. AJ took her arm gently and rolled up the sleeve. She saw a bruise on her arm along with........ Scars. Applejack looked up at Rainbow with wide eyes.

"What is this??", she asked. She couldn't believe what she was seeing.

"You're disgusted with me right??". Rainbow shook in fear and felt the tears coming. She looked at Applejack.

"You're disappointed with me, right??".

Applejack shook her head. The blonde brought her hand up and caressed her cheek.

"Of coarse not. Rainbow", she looked down at the girl's arm then at her. "I want to help you. I'll stay with you through this. You won't be alone anymore".

Rainbow gave her a hopeful look. "You mean it??".

AJ nodded. "Never said anything I didn't mean".

Applejack and Rainbow Dash stared into eachother's eyes. Rainbow smiled and leaned in. They kissed. Rainbow felt a sense of safety and love. They pulled apart.

"Rainbow", AJ started, "we have ta tell the police, someone".

Rainbow sighed. "I know. Can we do it tomorrow though??. I'm tired". Applejack nodded and wrapped her arms around Rainbow's waist. "I love you".

"Love you too". Rainbow smiled.

A minute later the girls came in. "Rainbow??". Rainbow turned and saw the girls.

The girls walked up to her and surrounded her in a group hug.

"If you ever need anything, come to us", Rarity said. She sighed. "I still can't believe you only have two outfits. I shall buy you new clothes and no buts".

Rainbow was about to argue but stopped. Her stomach growled.

"C'mon sugarcube. Let's get some food inta ta", Applejack said poking Rainbow lightly. Rainbow smiled and followed her into the kitchen.

After making Rainbow some chicken noodle soup, they sat down on the couch. Rainbow smiled.

"Never have I ever ate anything so warm before". She played with her tattered shirt.

"Hm I look like rainbow colored hole cheese", she smirked.

The girls found it sad but funny. Rarity didn't like Rainbow's torn shirt at all.

"I wish it was morning so I can drag you down to the mall and get you some proper clothes. It's freezing in here. Aren't you cold??".

"Sorry, the heater's broke and the AC won't turn off. I'm getting it fixed next weekend", Twilight apologized.

"It's cool, I'm used to being cold. My house always freezing so I learned to just deal with it and live with it. No biggie". Goosebumps covered the girl's arms. AJ noticed Rainbow rubbing her arms. She took off her sweater and placed on Rainbow's shoulders. Rainbow looked at her.

"You don't have to do that Apples". AJ wrapped an arm around her waist. "No biggie. I have long sleeves that'll keep me warm".

Rainbow snuggled into Applejack's side. The girls found it adorable. AJ lookedbdown at her. "Ah think we should head ta sleep". The girls agreed. A light snore filled the room. The girls looked at Rainbow. She was asleep. Applejack smiled and lifted her up, standing up. The girls made their way up to their rooms. "Good night for a sleepover", Pinkie commented.

Applejack smiled. They said goodnight and Applejack walked into the room. She laid Rainbow Dash down on the bed. The blonde changed into some pijamas and climbed into bed. Turning off the light, she laid down, pulling the blanket up. AJ looked at the sleeping girl next to her.

Suddenly heat was radiating off the bed. Applejack jumped in surprise, then relaxed. She smiled and looked at Rainbow. Rainbow had a small smile on her face. Applejack kissed he on the head and made sure she would be warm. Laying down she closed her eyes and fell asleep.
