Applejack smiled as she walked along the forest. She had found this place a few years ago and had come every so often as she could.

The loved the feel of it. She smells, sounds, sights. It was relaxing.

Now today she was taking just a walk to just look around. The blonde saw a path.

"Hm never noticed this before".

She followed, knowing her way back by heart. It came to a stop and Applejack looked around.

She caught sight of something. Turning her body she slowly walked over to it. To her surprise it was a someone. A girl sat on the ground, surrounded by animals.

Applejack crouched down by a tree. The girl had long rainbow colored hair that went down to her waist. From what Applejack could see, she had light blue skin.

Suddenly there was a sound from behind her. Applejack turned around and jumped to her feet. A bear stood there.

AJ slowly backed away, not once turning around. Suddenly she tripped on something.

"Ahh!!".

She felt on her butt. She looked up at the bear.

"Raj!!. No!!".

The bear stopped in its tracks. It backed away. Applejack turned her head. The head stood there. Applejack thought she was beautiful. Her eyes were a shade of pink Applejack hadn't seen before.

The girl walked over to her.

"Are you okay??".

Applejack nodded and stood up brushing the dirt off of her she said, "Ah'm fine thanks"

The girl looked at the bear. The bear growled out. Applejack looked at the girl. She was way too calm.

"I know. Come here", she said kneeling. She bear waddled up to her. It was twice the size of her and could kill her if it wanted to and definitely had the chance to do so.

The bear made some sounds. The girl smiled.

"I know you were protecting me. But don't go scaring people off. You could hurt someone by accident or you could get hurt. Go on".

The bear trudged past her and walked over to the other animals. A bird flew over to the girl and landed on her shoulders.

"I'm fine. Don't worry".

She looked at Applejack.

"Oh sorry about that. They're use to seeing people around here at all, only me. Who are you??".

Applejack kept quiet for a moment before introducing herself.

"Ah name's Applejack. Who are you??".

The girl walked up to her. "I'm Rainbow Dash and you've met my friends and the animals of the forest already".

Applejack grinned. "Yeah. I'm pretty sure I did, let me think".

The girl smiled.

"What are you doing in this part of the forest alone with animals??", Applejack asked.

Rainbow grinned. "I'm not alone. I'm with you and the animals

She was clever. Applejack was sure of that. She never met anyone like her. Plus, she was beautiful.

The bird perched on Rainbow's shoulder chirped, grabbing Rainbow's attention.

The two listened but only Rainbow understood.

"Yeah. I gotta get going. See you around". The bird chirped and flew off. Rainbow turned and looked at the group of animals. Birds, lizards, skunks, deers, moose, bears.

"I have to go home now".

One of the bears came up to her. The two had a one sided conversation. So it sounded.

"Yeah. I know. But I'll be fine".

The bear looked at Applejack. She came up to her and made a sound.

Applejack kneeled, so that she was smaller than the bear. The four legged beast, what Applejack thought it was, was giving her a begging look.

She looked at Rainbow then at Applejack again. Applejack looked at Rainbow.

"Rainbow??".

The bear moved it's head up and down.

"You want me and Rainbow to do something??".

The bear nodded again. Applejack listened carefully.

"Take care of her".

Applejack gasped and stood. She backed away a few feet. She looked up at Rainbow Dash who was smiling.

"Let me guess. You understood her".

Applejack looked at the female bear.
"Ah think".

The bear approached her.

"Take care of her and keep her safe for us", it said.

Applejack slowly kneeled down again.

"Why??", she whispered. "Why me??".

"You can understand us. You are the only one to have met Rainbow and not think she was crazy or try to kill us all. You stayed and so we trust you with her and her secret".

Applejack was stunned.

"What??".

Applejack looked up. Rainbow was with some deer. She walked over to Applejack and the bear.

"What did she tell you??".

The bear shook her head, telling her not to tell her.

Applejack looked at Rainbow and zipped her lips.

"My lips are sealed. Sorry Rainbow".

Rainbow looked at the bear.

The bear told her something.

"I trust her to keep you safe".

Rainbow smiled. "I don't a babysitter. I'm fine on my own".

"Sorry sugar but you need someone to look out for you when we can't. It's not a babysitter".

Applejack smiled at Rainbow.

"Trust me she pulled me into it. I have no choice".

Rainbow looked at her and smiled.

"Fine. I guess it won't be so bad".

Applejack smiled back.

"So we best be gettin' back. It was nice meet'n ya'll".

Rainbow turned to the animals.

"I'll be here tomorrow after school. Promise".

The animals began to leave until it was just the bear.

"Be careful girls".

"We will", they said at the same time. Looking at each other they laughed.

They turned and walked down the path.

"So, Rainbow. Want to tell me about yourself??".

Rainbow began to tell her of how she was an orphan and lived alone. She had a house in the forest and went to the same school Applejack went to. She told her of how she found the animals and discovered she could talk to them and understand them.

"And I've visited everyday since".

Applejack was shocked.

"So you live alone??".

Rainbow Dash nodded.

"Why are you tellin me this??. I know things that most people wouldn't tell a stranger".

"But you're not a stranger. You're my friend", Rainbow said with a grin.

"A smart girl you are".

Rainbow bumped her shoulder with hers playfully.

"But seriiusly. Why??".

Applejack looked at her. Rainbow looked out into the distance.

"I trust you".

Those three simple words shook Applejack to the core. Rainbow barely knew her and she trusted her with her life.

She didn't know what to say.

"I understand if you don't want to be my friend. Not many people want to anyways so I don't blame you".

Applejack stopped walking. Rainbow stopped as well. She looked at her curiously as to why she stopped.

Applejack had had a look of disbelief on her tan face.

"What??. You're tellin me, that people don't like you??".

Rainbow nodded. Applejack was shocked.

"That's insane. How can someone not like you??. You're brave, fun, amazing, beautiful-".

"Different", Rainbow stated. Applejack smiled.

"Different. That, you are. But ya know what??".

Rainbow looked at her. "What??".

"I like different. Different is better than normal and those people that left you can go somewhere because you are amazing".

Rainbow couldn't help but smile.

"Noone has ever said something like that. You're sweet".

Applejack smiled.

"Well its true".

She looked at Rainbow. "I just realize how short you are compared ta me".

Rainbow's mouth fell open. "Oh my gosh. Don't talk to me".

She walked faster while laughing. Applejack ran to catch up.

"It's true. You're short to me".

The blonde caught her arm. She spun the girl around. Rainbow looked up at her.

"I see your point but shut up".

Applejack laughed and shook her head. The two continued walking. They came to a small house. It was a little broken down.

"Is this your house??", Applejack asked.

Rainbow nodded.

"Yeah. Thanks for walking me home. I'll see you in school"

Rainbow walked towards her house.

"Hey uh Rainbow!!", AJ called. Rainbow turned around.

"Yeah??".

"You wouldn't want to stay at my place for a while, would ya??. Ya know roomates??".

Rainbow smiled. "Sure. Let me get my stuff".

The girl jogged towards the house. The door creaked open. Applejack went after her. Looking around Applejack could see why she wanted to be with her. It was dark, mostly empty, and very, very lonely.

Rainbow went into another room. AJ walked in. It was a bedroom. Or at least WAS a bedroom.

The bed was broken and and the blanket was torn and shredded. There was a closet with clothes in it.

"Where do you go ta get food??".

"I have a job and I buy it".

"A job??".

Rainbow nodded. "Yeah, it doesn't pay much but whatever, it's something".

Applejack watched her pack her clothes and belongings in a bag. It wasn't alot, that was for sure.

"Ready??".

"Ready".

The two walked outside. Animals had gathered. The female bear was there. She came up to Rainbow.

"Will you be safe??".

Rainbow smiled.

"Applejack will take good care of me".

The bear looked at the blonde girl.

"You will take care of her and bring her back soon, right??".

Applejack nodded. "Ah promise".

The bear was happy with that promise. She backed away.

"Be careful girls".

"Always", Applejack replied. The two walked down the path together.

The bear watched them.

"I know you will".
