I looked up after the little boy and his friend left. Pete was standing there with a huge smile on his face.

"You got those chocolate ice creams?" Pete asked and I nodded.

"Here." I said handing him two slightly melty ice creams.

"Come here." Pete said and I nodded.

"Frank?!" I yelled and Frank got up from the chair on the dock. "You got my shift?" I asked and he nodded.

"I got a date at nine. Don't take too long." I nodded handing Frank the apron.

"Thank you." I said and Pete handed me one of the ice creams.

"Ready?" I nodded and took the ice cream licking it.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"Just the beach." I nodded and linked my arm with Petes.

I laughed rolling on my side and kissing Petes lips. He smiled against my lips.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"8:57." Pete smiled running his hand through my hair.

"I need to cover for Frank!" I yelled getting up grabbing my shoes and socks and ran towards the ice cream stand.

"Bro?!" Pete yelled.

"I'll text you later! Love you!" I yelled running, once I got there I was out of breath.
