"When did you come back?" Jungkook asked while handing him a towel.
"Today morning... I missed everyone, so I came here," he shrugged.
"Do it properly, Hyungi." Jungkook took the towel from him and started drying others' hair. Tae stared at him, catching Jungkook's waist and pulling him closer.
"Don't be naughty, Mr..." Jungkook playfully slapped him.
"I was thinking why I chose you over him..." Tae laughed.
"Why?" Jungkook looked at him.
"Nothing... He's a cute fluff ball, and we were best friends too. We knew each other."
Jungkook pushed him away. "Then go to your fluff ball. He still accepts you." He pouted with an angry face.
"He has his dream man now."
"Otherwise?" Jungkook looked at him. "Otherwise, you'd go back to him? Hmm... Aaha... I know you never loved me. Jimin wants his parents together, that's why both of you planned this."
"Goodness... You know all this."
"I hate you." Jungkook wiped his eyes. "Why did you come here? To break up with me?"
"I didn't say anything like that, Kooki."
"I know you don't love me. I hate you." He ran to his room and closed the door. "Stupid." He murmured while punching his pillow.
"Kooki, open the door. Kooki." Tae knocked on the door. "Kooki, don't be silly, baby. Open the door."
Jungkook opened the door. "What?"
"Where is my room? I want to sleep."
"Go to your fluff ball, and he sleeps with him," Jungkook said in an angry tone.
"That's a nice idea... Jiminy... Bridee... Where are you?" He walked to the next room.
"Hyu... No... I hate you... I'm not going to speak to you for the next week." He grit his teeth and heard Jimin's excited voice from other room. Jungkook closed the door with a loud thud..
*********
Jungkook looked at the clock—11 am. "I slept so long," he thought, glancing at the mirror. He had cried so much yesterday. He knew Taehyung and Jimin would never cheat on him, but still...
He took a quick shower and wore neat clothes. Then, he walked down the stairs. Jungkook stopped on the last step. The entire hall was beautifully decorated—balloons flying here and there. "What's happening here?" he called out loudly, but there was no reply. His eyes then fell on a photo frame—his photos from childhood, in a school uniform, at art programs, sports days, and college graduation.
Namjoon and Jimin were there for his graduation ceremony. The next day, Jin also visited him. Jungkook saw a photo of himself sleeping in bed at the orphanage... How?
"I clicked everything by myself."
Jungkook startled and turned towards the sound. "Hyungi... But how? You were in Canada then?"
"I came here to see my baby boy in every important days of your life." Tae smiled.
"No way... We never met before."
"You... You never saw me, but I was seeing you. I was with you in every stage of your life, Jungkook. It was not Jiminy's plan. It was my choice... You are my choice," Tae said.
"No... You are lying... You're compensating for last night."
"Then ask them."
Jungkook looked back, and his whole family was standing behind them. He looked at his father, and Joon nodded his head in agreement.
"But hyungi..." He widened his eyes when Taehyung kneeled in front of him.
"I know it's too early. I promise I won't stand against any of your wishes. You can do anything, but Jungkook, I want to make you mine. So... Will you marry me, Kim Jungkook? If you marry me, you can't change your surname. That's my offer." Tae laughed while showing a small box in front of him.
Jungkook looked again at his family.
"Say yes, hyungi. That bitch made me do all this last night... oops." He covered his mouth. Yoongi and his parents looked at each other; they were on a video call. "Why do I always make a bad impression?" Jimin cried.
Jungkook looked at Taehyung and kneeled before him. "I will, hyungi," he said and hugged the man.
"Thank you," Tae kissed his hair. "I love you, Kooki."
It was a beautiful day for them. The whole family was together, celebrating like a festival. Jungkook was at the peak of his happiness. Joon took a lot of pictures with his old camera, savoring each moment of his son's laughter, happiness, and pouty face.
"Appa..." Jungkook sat beside him. "What are you doing here alone?"
"Nothing... Happy?" he asked.
"Very much... I never expected this," he laughed.
"Tae's grandmother's wish... Then I also feel if both of you get married soon, it will bring that old bonding between our family."
"I'm happy, Appa... I love him very much... I never knew he was behind me... Idiot... He should have told me."
"Only Jimin knows about that," Joon said.
"Really? He also hides it from me... Hmm... Appa... will buy a diamond ring for hyung? A wedding ring."
"Yes... Of course..."
"Add this cash to that." Jungkook gave him the cheque.
"No, Kooki... This money is your mom's savings for you."
"Appa... Please... I want to gift him something valuable. With the blessings of my father and mother. Please."
Joon took the cheque from Jungkook. "I will."
"Are you happy, Appa?" Jungkook asked suddenly.
"Very much," Joon smiled softly...
Good night Appa..
Good night....
Jungkook walks to his room when someone pulls him into a room. "You're full-time busy with others," Tae glares at him.
"You made me cry yesterday, so I decided not to speak for the next week," Jungkook pouted.
"Really?" Tae cups his face. "Love you." He kisses his forehead. "Sorry. I'll never make you cry again. I promise."
"It's okay. Tell me the truth, hyungi. Where did you get those photos of mine?"
"I clicked them. Why can't you believe me? When you inform about your important days, he informs me, then I come here. Do you remember he always asks you to give a week's notice before the program?"
"Yeah, I remember that. So, the gifts he gives me..."
"I brought them for you."
"Oh, let me see him. I want to ask something, idiot."
********
"The proposal was so beautiful, hyungi. I worked hard to arrange everything."
"But Tae said you were sleeping in the corner," Suga asked.
"Liar."
"Jiminy, are you okay with that? I mean, since childhood, everyone said he's yours, and suddenly one day..."
"Shut up, Mr. I don't know. When he said he loves hyung, I was happy. If you ask me, yes, I felt sad, but I'm sure my hyung will be happy with him. He's a good boy."
"So, Jiminy was sad for Taehyung..."
"No, I'm happy. I'll cut the call if you say it like that."
"Ahha... Whatever? I'll send my concert tickets."
"I have an exam, hyungi."
"For them as a gift."
"Oh! Jimin's fell off..."
"Come with them if you have time."
"What should I do with couples? You were busy."
"I can't meet you anyway. If someone finds out, that will be the end of me. David is killing me for even calling you, and you made a bad boy image in front of my mother too."
"What? It's not like we're boyfriends, just friends, isn't it?"
"Yes, we just have a date. That's it. If Jungkook was there, maybe we wouldn't have any contact now."
"Yeah... Good night, hyungi. I want to pack my things. We are heading back tomorrow."
"Goodnight..." Yoongi cut the call.
Jimin threw his phone away. He wiped his eyes. "Stupid Jimina," he smacked himself. "You don't get anything you want."
"Mochi..." Jungkook knocked on the door.
"I'm sleeping," he said.
"Open the door. I want to talk with you."
"No... Go to your fiancé. I'm busy with my man."
"Oh... Good night." Jungkook went back to his room.
Jimin hugged his pillow. "Stupid Jimina," he murmured to himself.
