Moving On
Carlos woke up in the school infirmary. He looked to his right to see Lisa, without her hero costume sleeping on the couch next to the room door, along with Clara. He then felt his heart squeeze, then his left to see blue syringes on the bedside table. He immediately knew what they were, so he picked one up and injected himself. The moment he pressed the blue liquid into his arm, Recovery Girl opened the door and rushed inside, with a worried and frightened look on her face. When she saw that he was injecting himself, she let out a sigh of relief.
"We added a new herb to the formula." She said while Carlos sat up on the bed. "It extends the treatment's time of effect by an hour. Best part is, the herb is pretty common here in Japan."
"That's good" he replied. "It also seems to weaken the disease. Normally when I'm this close to her *points at Lisa* it immediately becomes jack shit crazy, even when the treatment is still in effect. Now I only felt a heart squeeze, and I don't even feel anything now."
"Well that's a good sign." She says. "Now get up, you still have to calculate the class grades."
"I did that before those bird monsters arrived. Where did they come from anyway?" He asked.
"We know that they came from the League of Villains, and they got in using Kurogiri, the mist person." She replied
Carlos then got up and went out of the room. He went to the school gates and exited them. He went home and changed into weighted clothes. Then he did 400 push-ups, sit-ups, squats, chin-ups, and pull-ups. He also used his handgrip and weights. Then he took a shower, turned on his PC, and played Shadows of Mordor. (A/N: good job if you've heard of or played the game)
'Maybe I've moved on from that' he says remembering the night his heart broke for the first time. It was a cold night, he was rejected, but he played it cool. Everyone thought that he was immediately over it, but inside, behind the smiles and jokes, he was depressed and had a shattered heart. Then he started fresh and moved to Japan for UA. But as the years went by, he thought more about it. It hurt every time, then it got much worse. One time during class, he got into a coughing fit. Soon he began to cough up flower petals. It got much worse over the months, but luckily the teachers were able to make a special treatment for him. Every single time that he thought about that night, it hurt. Now, he couldn't feel anything anymore, as if a huge weight was taken off his shoulders. 'Oh well...'
