Scene 1,Act 3

The grand Opera Epiclese, was filled to capacity, the audience eagerly awaiting the evening's performance. The opulent setting, along with the gilded balconies and velvet drapes, created an atmosphere of grandeur and anticipation. As the lights dim, a hush falls over noisy the crowd.

Red heavy curtains drew up with a whoosh, and rope rubbing against metal sound as a bright blue light centered on a person with blue and white hair.

On stage, Furina, who was dressed in a stunning black and blue-lined dress, stood in the spotlight. Her presence command the attention of everyone in the room. Faint music begun in the back of a piano as her feet began to move. She begun her performance, her voice clear and powerful as she sung a hauntingly beautiful aria. Her movements were fluid and graceful, a seamless blend of acting and dance that told a captivating story. She spun and stepped as she gazed her eyes in the deep dark shadows.

In the shadows, hidden from the audience's view, Arlecchino watched intently. Her eyes followed Furina's every move, a mix of admiration and intrigue played across her face. The enigmatic Harbinger was drawn to Furina's talent and the facade she maintained so flawlessly on stage.

Furina's performance reached its climax, her voice soaring in an emotional crescendo. She finished with a dramatic flourish, holding a bouquet of red and black roses as the final notes echoed through the opera house. As her voice trailed off into the air,the audience erupted in applause, the sound filling the grand hall.

Neuvillette, seated in the front row, stood and begun clapping enthusiastically. His approval was a significant endorsement, and the audience followed suit, giving Furina a standing ovation.

As Furina took her bows, she glanced toward the shadows at the edge of the stage, where she sensed Arlecchino's watchful presence. Their eyes met briefly, a silent acknowledgment passed between them. Furina's heart raced, a mix of pride from her performance and the lingering effect of Arlecchino's intense gaze.

With a final, graceful bow, Furina exited the stage, the bouquet of roses held tightly in her hands. Backstage, the applause continued to echo, but her mind was already on the next encounter with the Harbinger. In the dim light, Arlecchino stepped out from the shadows, a sly smile playing on her lips.

Arlecchino walked up to her; her heels making a soft clanking noise."Well done, dew drop . You never cease to amaze one such as myself. Especially the children, they do seem to enjoy your performances as much as I do."

Furina, feeling the weight of both the roses and the performance, knew that tonight was just another act in the intricate dance between her and Arlecchino. She could only wonder what the next 'act' will bring.

The night air was cool and crisp as Furina and Arlecchino walk together, the echoes of the audience's applause still ringing in Furina's ears. They move away from the grandeur of the Opera Epiclese, their steps echoed in the narrow, cobblestone alley. The shadows casted by the moonlight, created an intimate atmosphere, to where the city's bustle faded into the background.

Furina's mind was still spinning from the performance and the lingering tension with Arlecchino. She felt a strange mix of exhaustion and exhilaration, her senses heightened by the night and the presence of the mysterious Harbinger who walked beside her.

Furina stopped; her heels planted on the ground as she spoke softly, "Thank you for walking me home, Arlecchino. Tonight was... a lot."

Arlecchino slightly turned to her and smiled holding her hand out to the actor. "You were magnificent. Truly a captivating evening..."Furina smiled as she took her hand and begun to walk under the watch of the sherbet colored sunset.

They eventually stopped near a secluded spot, the spot of where their shared their first dance; their first kiss. Arlecchino turned to face Furina, her eyes gleamed with something that Furina couldn't quite understand.

Arlecchino stopped as Furina did to. She was rather confused until she felt the harbinger pull her close. "There's something about you, Furina. Something that draws me in, something that no other mortal or ...person has ever made me feel."

Before Furina could respond, Arlecchino moved swiftly, pressing Furina gently but firmly against herself. Furina's breath hitched, her heart pounding as Arlecchino's face was mere inches from hers.

Furina looked eye shocked as she felt herself beginning to hyperventilate a bit."Arlecchino, what are you—" she spoke before she was caught off guard.

Arlecchino silenced her with a kiss, her lips and Furina's in a sudden, electrifying moment. The kiss was gentle and demanding, a release of the tension that was building between them. Furina's initial shock melted into a mixture of confusion and desire, her hands instinctively reached out to hold onto Arlecchino who only pulled her closer.

The world seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them in the quiet alley. The kiss slightly deepened, a dance of power and vulnerability, both women caught in the whirlwind of their emotions.

After what felt like an eternity, Arlecchino pulled back, her eyes searching Furina's face for a reaction. Furina, flushed and breathless, stared back, her mind racing. Arlecchino ran her thumb over her red a puffy lips and smirked.

She brought her lips to Furina's ear;whispering in a low husky voice. "I couldn't resist. You are too irresistible, dew drop..."Furina's hand lingered on Arlecchino's arm, her touch hesitant but firm.

Furina swollowed slightly and whispered."You always have a way of catching me off guard, knave...." Arlecchino smiled, a mixture of satisfaction and intrigue flickered in her intimidating eyes.

"Perhaps that's because I see the real you, beyond the mask you wear for everyone else." She spoke.

Furina felt a surge of emotions, a blend of fear, excitement, and something deeper that she couldn't quite name. She knew that moment was a turning point, a step into uncharted territory.

Furina spoke quietly as she slightly shivered in her touch."And what do you see, Arlecchino?"

Arlecchino leaned in, her lips brushing lightly against Furina's red ear once again.

"I see someone who is fascinating , yet vulnerable and fragile. Someone who thrills me more than I care to admit." She pulled away as furina felt her grasp on her slip away ,her source of warmth burning out.

With that, Arlecchino stepped back, her gaze lingering on Furina one last time before turning to leave. Furina remained in the middle of the ally, her heart still racing, her mind a spinning with thoughts and emotions.*

As the night deepened, Furina knew that the kiss they shared was just the beginning of something far more complex and dangerous. And despite the fear, she can't help but feel a thrill at the prospect of what lies ahead with Arlecchino. Even if she's a harbinger, a villain part of an organization that the world, tevyt turned against.

As the stars twinkled above, Furina retreated to her private chambers, seeking solace from the burdens of leadership. The events of the day, left her weary, but her thoughts drifted back to Arlecchino. She dozed off as she stood by the window, looking out over the quiet city of Fontaine, lost in contemplation.

The memory of the previous night's kiss haunted  her. It had been unexpected, yet gentle, and it had stirred something deep within her soul. She could still almost feel the lingering touch of Arlecchino's lips, the electric connection that had sparked between them.

Furina smiled and spoke softly to herself. "Why do you affect me so, Knave? What is it about you that I cannot simply be able to shake?"

She sighed and walked over to her desk, where the black and red rose and the note from Arlecchino still layed. Picking up the rose, she felt a mix of emotions—confusion, fear, and an undeniable attraction. Arlecchino was a mystery, an enigma that both fascinates and terrifies her greatly.

Furina knew she should be wary. As an Archon, she couldn't afford to let her guard down, especially around someone as unpredictable as The 4th Fatui Harbingers. But yet, she found herself drawn to the being's dark allure, her mind constantly returning to their interactions.
Furina held the rose in her hand as she walked back to the window. "Arlecchino sees through me, sees the person behind the Archon. But can I trust her? Or is she merely playing a game, manipulating me for her own ends? Dose she only seek that her hands will grasp upon the gnosis?"

She sighed, placing the rose back on the windowsill. The note's elegant script caught her eye once more, and she read it again, trying to decipher any hidden meanings. The words were simple, but they carried a weight she could not ignore.

The logical part of her mind warned her to remain cautious, to remember her duty and the importance of protecting the Gnosis. But her heart yearned for the connection she felt with Arlecchino, a connection she had never experienced with anyone else.

Determined, Furina spoke to herself, "I must remain vigilant. I cannot let my feelings cloud my judgment. But... perhaps there is a way to explore this connection without jeopardizing my responsibilities."

Her thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. One of her aides, dressed in a nice blue and white vest with white pants lined with gold. He held his sword tightly and entered, bowing respectfully.

"Your Excellency, there are documents that require your urgent attention," the aide informed the goddess. She walked over to him and passed her the documents.

Furina nodded, her expression returning to that of the composed Archon. She took the documents, her mind refocusing on the tasks at hand. Yet, as she worked late into the night, the image of Arlecchino and the memory of their kiss lingered in the back of her mind.

In the quiet moments between her duties, Furina allowed herself to wonder what the future held. She knew the path ahead was uncertain, fraught with challenges and potential betrayals. But a part of her was willing to take the risk, to see where this connection with Arlecchino might lead.

As the candles burned low, Furina resolved to approach the situation with caution but also with an open heart. She knew that the coming days would test her in ways she had never been tested before. But for now, she clung to the hope that, despite the dangers, there might be something real and genuine between her and Arlecchino.

Whispering to herself, Furina said, "Stay strong, Furina. All you need to do .. is figure out her motive -..."

With that thought, Furina returned to her work, her resolve strengthened by the complex and delicate dance of emotions she and Arlecchino were engaged in. The night deepened, and the Archon of Fontaine prepared for the trials that lay ahead, her heart and mind entwined with thoughts of the enigmatic Harbinger.

———————————

In the chilly halls of the Tsaritsa's palace in Snezhnaya, Arlecchino walked through the grand, icy corridors, her steps echoing against the marble floors. The air was cold and crisp, a stark contrast to the warmth and vibrancy of Fontaine. As she made her way to the meeting chamber, her mind was a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. She steeled herself, reminding herself of the mission at hand. She walked in as the two large doors opened to reveal a large, long table with the other Fatui Harbingers around it.

Entering the chamber where the Captain and Dottore awaited, she took in their imposing presence. The Captain, the First Fatui Harbinger, stood tall and commanding respect. Dottore, the cunning and enigmatic Doctor, watched with a calculating gaze, his curiosity piqued by Arlecchino's arrival.

"Well, someone's late to the party," spoke a man with orange hair, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "You sure have a lot to say for someone who's failed the most out of all the Fatui Harbingers. Even the Balladeer was more promising than you."

The man's eyes narrowed, his voice sharp as hers retorted, "At least I don't hide behind children, ordering them to do my dirty work.Arlecchino. Maybe you should focus more on strategy than showmanship."

Arlecchino's expression darkened, and she took a step forward, her tone turning more confrontational. "Strategy? You wouldn't know strategy if it hit you in the face. All you've ever done is manipulate and deceive. And don't ever call me, Arlecchino..."

Before the exchange could escalate further, the Captain's voice cut through the tension with authority. "Enough," he commanded, his presence instantly silencing both of them. "We are Harbingers of her lady the Tsaritsa, not bickering children. Focus on the mission at hand and remember what is truly at stake."

Both Arlecchino and Childe fell silent, Tartaglila's gaze lowering as the Captain's words sank in. The room was filled with a tense, uneasy silence, the reminder of their shared purpose hanging heavily in the air.

The Captain sighed and nodded in a greeting. "Knave... What news do you bring from Fontaine?"

Composing herself along with a blank face,Arlecchino replied, "The Archon of Hydro, Furina, is as we anticipated—young, ambitious, and vulnerable. Her emotions are easily manipulated. I've already begun to play on her feelings."

The doctor, whom loomed in the shadows, leaned forward, a sinister smile playing on his lips. "And how effective have your methods been, knave? Has she begun to trust you?"

With a disgusted attitude, Arlecchino answered, "She is already drawn to me, though she tries to hide it. Our encounters have been... revealing. She's started to rely on me, to seek me out. It's only a matter of time before she is completely under my influence."

The Captain nodded approvingly, but his gaze was sharp. "Good. We need that Gnosis. The Tsaritsa's plans depend on it. But remember, Arlecchino, Furina is not to be underestimated. She may be vulnerable, but she is still an Archon."

Arlecchino's fingers pulled at her black and red nails that hid under her coat, away from the eyes of the other Harbingers. She remembered the kiss, the way Furina's eyes had looked into hers with a mixture of trust and fear. Pushing those memories aside, she maintained her facade of unwavering loyalty to the Fatui.

"I understand. The Gnosis will be ours. Furina's trust in me is growing, and with it, her vulnerability. I will continue to exploit her feelings until the time is right."

The Doctor's eyes gleamed with interest. "Excellent. But tell me, Knave, do you feel any... complications arising from this assignment? Emotions can be tricky, even for someone as skilled as you."

Arlecchino's expression remained neutral, though her mind was annoyed from his acts. She knew The Doctor was probing for any sign of weakness, any indication that her feelings might compromise the mission.

"Emotions are tools to be used, nothing more. Furina's emotions are her weakness, and they will be her undoing. My feelings are irrelevant."

The Captain nodded, satisfied with her answer. "Very well. Continue with your mission, Arlecchino. Remember, the success of this operation is crucial to the Fatui's goals."

Arlecchino bowed slightly and turned to leave the chamber. As she walked away, her thoughts drifted back to Furina. Despite her reassurances to the Captain and the Doctor, she couldn't shake the growing attachment she felt towards the Hydro Archon. She knew she must stay focused, but the lines between duty and desire were becoming increasingly blurred.

In the quiet of quarters in The House Of The Hearth, Arlecchino allowed herself a moment of vulnerability. She sat by the window, looking out at the snowy landscape of Snezhnaya, and thought of Furina's smile, the way her eyes lit up when they spoke. She knew the path ahead was fraught with danger and deception, but a part of her hoped that, somehow, there might be a way to protect Furina while still fulfilling her mission.

Softly, to herself, she whispered, " I must stay focused,to preserve a future for the Hearth, the children, and the legacy of the Fatui."

With a sigh, she turned away from the window, her resolve hardening once more. The mission was clear, and she could not afford to let her feelings compromise it. But deep down, she knew that her connection to Furina might just be the one thing that could change everything.
