Rabbit Guard Jack
Geno's P.O.V
"Geno, you need to go faster!" Reaper shouted.
"I can't help it if I can't float like you!" I shouted back.
Our only advantage on the car was that it wasn't built for high speed chases through a forest that nobody has set foot in for years. Yet, it was still managing to keep up to us. They were firing bullets, trying to hit us in non-fatal spots, just to slow us down. But apparently, they're all bad shots. Not a single bullet got anywhere near us. Unfortunately, they were smart enough to realise that they wouldn't be able to catch us whilst in the car. So, they stopped the car and hopped out, continuing the chase on foot.
"They're gonna catch us!" I said, looking back at them.
Reaper grabbed my hand and practically dragged me along. He was so much more faster then I was. We kept darting around the trees, trying to figure out the way to the surviver camp. If we could just get there, then the camp guards would stop the arena guards from attacking us. The trees were thick above us, however, and we couldn't see the wall surrounding the camp. A sudden, sharp pain shot through my shoulder and I cried out. I fell from the impact, Reaper stopped and turned to help me back up. But the guards had already surrounded us.
"Don't move!" One of the guards ordered.
I felt blood flow from my shoulder. One of those damn guards got me. Reaper kneeled down next to me, ignoring the guard's order.
"Are you ok?" He asked.
"I've had better days..." I groaned, hissing in pain as I sat up.
"Put your hands above your head!" Another guard ordered.
Reaper glared at him with his cold, empty eye sockets and stood back up. "Just leave us alone. We're getting to that surviver camp whether you like it or not!"
The guard growled and whispered an order to another guard, who ran off seconds later. All the guards aimed their guns at us, whilst the one who seemed to be in charge stepped forward. She was a human, about five feet tall with long brown hair.
"My patience is thin, warrior." She said coldly. "Put your hands above your head. Now."
Reaper said nothing. He slowly reached into the pocket of his cloak.
"I will not warn you again. Put your hands above your head."
Reaper's hand closed around something. I couldn't see it, but it seemed to be a weapon. Just as the guard was going to give the order to fire, Reaper flung a knife out his pocket and at her. But the guard caught the knife, rather impressively. The guard raised her hand, giving an order. That other guard that had run off before came back with some kind of taser. They wasted no time in shocking Reaper with it. He cried out, falling to his knees.
"Don't you attack me!" The chief guard yelled. "I'll see that you regret that!"
She gave another order and the guard with taser came up to me, aiming to use said taser on me. Reaper shook off the shock and tackled the guard down. He yelled at the guard, telling him to never even think about touching me. The guard shoved the taser at him, shocking him again. I was surprised, not expecting Reaper to take a hit for me. Yes, he saved me from a zombie bear, but actually take the pain? Not what I was expecting.
After a long, painful moment of Reaper and the guard struggling, the guard pushed Reaper to the side. Reaper just laid there, trembling slightly in pain. The chief guard huffed and gave the order to take us back to the car. My hands were bound behind me as we were escorted. My shoulder was killing me, but I didn't complain. The guards had to carry Reaper to their car. We were left in the back of the car, with a guard at the wheel and another just behind them. The other guards stood around the car, seemingly waited for the others.
"Reaper, are you ok?" I asked.
"I should be the one asking you that." Reaper replied, smiling a weak smirk.
I wouldn't bleed to death. I knew, because I've spent practically my whole life bleeding from the wound on my chest. I don't know where all this blood comes from.
"Got any ideas on how we can escape?" Reaper asked.
"My hands are bound and you're in no condition to run. There's a very low chance of us getting away." I sighed. "Man, we should've gone with the others. A bigger group would've made all the difference."
Reaper leaned a little closer and whispered. "Hey, I think I might have a plan."
I raised my non-existent eyebrow. "What kind of plan?"
"Well, we're both boys, right?"
"Uh...yeah?"
"Well, I read somewhere in a book that most humans are homophobic."
"What kind of book were you reading?"
"Something about how the earth is flat or something."
"Two completely unrelated topics and both are equally as wrong."
"That person at the wheel is a human."
"Reaper, that's not going to work-"
At that moment, the guard sitting behind the one at the wheel leaned over his seat. He was a monster, an upright bunny monster with fluffy brown and white fur. He actually seemed rather pleasant, his buck teeth showing in a smile.
"Actually, the human in the from is homophobic." He said.
Reaper and I looked at each other, then back at the bunny monster.
"You're trying to help us?" We asked.
The bunny nodded. "I didn't sign up for this job to hurt the people we're suppose to protect. Besides, you and your group would be better off going to that surviver camp."
"Thanks." I said.
The bunny's smile grew wider. "If you two can get him out the car, I'll drive you over the the surviver camp. The other guards won't be able to chase us like that."
"Should be simple enough." Reaper turned to me with a wide, cocky smile on his face.
I didn't trust that smile. "Reaper, I swear to Asgore-"
Reaper pinned me down and connected his teeth with mine. My face went hot with my blush. I heard the bunny chuckle and tap the shoulder of the guard at the car's wheel. The human guard was not happy about two male skeletons kissing right behind him. F**king homos. He yelled at us and got out of the front, running up the side of the car and attempting to pull Reaper off of me. Geez, is it really that uncomfortable to him?
Luckily, the bunny monster gave the guard a strong kick in the face, knocking him unconscious, and he jumped into the front, taking the wheel. By now, the other guards had heard the commotion and started running back to the car. But the bunny monster had already turned the rusty key and started driving off. Soon, the yells and gunshots faded, only now did Reaper pull away from the kiss, still smiling his cocky smile.
"I hate you." I mumbled.
"Love you too, Gen." He replied smugly.
"So." The bunny monster started. "Are you two actually gay, or was that all just part of a plan?"
"Still to be decided."
I huffed as Reaper undid the rope bounding my hands behind me. He then proceeded to help out with the bullet wound in my shoulder. I hissed in pain as he did so, but he was able to get the bullet out and bandage the wound. I took a deep breath and relaxed a bit, the pain ceasing a little.
"My name's Jack by the way." The bunny said.
"Reaper." Reaper replied. "And this lovely eternally bleeding skeleton is Geno."
"You two seem pretty close."
Reaper looked over at me. My blush grew and I looked away.
He chuckled. "Yeah, I suppose we are."
"Hey, that's fine." Jack said. "I have someone I care about in a surviver camp close to the arena. Mate, I was waiting a long time to give that guard a good kick in the face. He's always been against monsters and how most of us are in gay relationships."
"They're just jealous that we need both genders to reproduce." Reaper said, sitting next to me and putting arm around me.
"Why do I have a feeling this conversation is going to take a bad turn?" I asked.
"Now why would you think that?"
Jack chuckled to himself. "Well, rabbits are known to love s-"
"Ok, lets change the subject!"
Both Jake and Reaper laughed. That's when we heard an explosion close by.
"That sounded like a car." Jake said.
"How often do your cars explode?" Reaper asked.
"You'd be surprised."
I suddenly didn't feel safe in this car. Jack decided it would be a good idea to take a look. It was good we did, because some of our group were there. Lust, Horror, Fell and Sci were there, Horror laying on the ground with a broken axe in his hand and the blazing car in front of them.
"It looks like Horror went out in a blaze of glory." Reaper joked.
Horror flipped Reaper off.
"How'd the car explode?" I asked.
"Horror hit the engine with his axe." Fell explained.
"Wanna join the ride?" Jack asked.
"That would be appreciated, thanks." Sci accepted.
"You sure we can trust him?" Lust asked.
Sci nodded, going up to the not-so-on-fire car.
"All aboard!" Jack announced. "Next stop, the surviver camp!"
Well, lets just hope all the others are ok.
