"Look," Klaus said with a smile, pointing his hand into the building. "There's Luther!"
A bar?
You deadpanned, following everyone else into the bar. You grimaced are the sour smell of the alcohol.
Luther has disappeared after the commotions with Pogo and everyone assumed he went to his room, but when it was found empty, Klaus giggled and took the lead.
Everyone was confused but followed him.
Never expected Luther to be the one we find at a bar.
"Trying a little hair of the dog are we?" Klaus grinned, everyone surrounding the table Luther was sat at.
He sulked.
"Leave me alone."
Diego took off his gloves and waved them at you as he sat in the chair next to Luther. "Give us a minute."
Five was about to say something, looking offended when you tugged him away from the table and a few chairs away.
"Come on," Klaus said, joining you at the faraway seat. "Maybe they'll brood each other to death."
Five leaned back on the table, Klaus sitting on the table. You went to sit down after pulling out a chair, but Five's sudden hand in your back pocket stopped you.
You flushed, entire body feeling hot.
You had to clear your throat before speaking.
Can I melt into him and live there until the end of the world?
"Not that I mind, but you're being awfully touchy."
"Well, I still haven't forgotten your bout of hiding. The last I saw, you came back from your 'important' activity all bloody."
Shit, he's got me there.
You nervously chuckle. "Heh. It's not that I'm hiding things," you addressed one of his pointers with a shaky voice. "I'm just... postponing it."
"You can't tell me what made you bleed out all over the sidewalks?" Five glared at you, hand still in your pocket and he used it to push himself against your side. The heat from his body and yours mixed.
"Wouldn't be the first time," Klaus piped in.
"What?"
"Woah!" You squeaked, quickly shutting Klaus up. "Let's calm down. Plus, I already told you."
"You said you 'dealt' with that important thing."
"Exactly," you grinned a smile that threw him off guard.
He faltered, the tips of his ears burning red without his consent.
"That's not-"
"Hey," you placed a hand over his mouth but quickly let it fall away. "I'll tell you later... when the time is right.
"The-"
Another hand covered his mouth.
"I know. The world is ending. You'll know before then."
He sighed and moved away from your hand, having nothing else to say. Though, he kept his hand securely in your pocket.
"You should've led with that!"
Luther jumps up and runs for the door, Diego following after with a satisfied smirk. You snap your head up at the sudden shout.
Diego seemed to have worked his magic.
Five pushes you forward and after the two men. You have to hold back a snicker when Luther, quite literally, rips the door off it's hinges.
Time to find Allison.
—————
There was a small sense of urgency to Five's driving: cutting corners and going a good amount over the speed limit.
You wanted to speak up about the gut feeling you got as soon as the car started, but your throat seized up and you had to silently suffer squished between Diego and Luther.
And no matter how fast Five was going, Luther was still on edge and very pushy.
"Can you go any faster."
You rolled your eyes, hoping Five would say something other than "no" just to make Luther stop asking.
"Ask me again, and I'll burn you with the cigarette lighter."
There it is.
Luther sits back in his seat.
You don't think he realizes how close you are to the house until Five parks the car in the driveway of a cabin.
Luther is the first one out and he rushes into the house, followed next by you and Klaus.
"No," you hear Luther scream and bend over something lying in the floor. "Allison!"
Klaus slumps onto the couch, eyes wide with fear and slaps a hand over his mouth.
You glance at what they saw.
You yelp and turn away, reaching out for support as you surroundings went blurry, flashes of Allison's bloody body creating dark circles in you vision.
Five was there in an instant.
He wrapped his arms around your waist and hugged your shaking body close. You could hear him release a breath of air.
"Oh, no," he had muttered, arms tightening around you, to create a support for both you and him.
You couldn't speak.
You couldn't moved.
Your throat had closed itself it a desperate attempt to keep the sudden rise of bile down.
It also helped muffle your whimpers.
You wondered exactly what, or who, did that to Allison. What caused her to lay -lifeless- on the floor, blood spread everywhere from a laceration around the neck.
What happened here?
