The Four Horsemen of Apocalypse

War, Famine, Pestilence, Death, the beginning and end of all things. The four horsemen of the apocalypse. According to some they are the heralds of the end of the world, but the truth is often much different than legend. They are not, as most believe, the heralds of the apocalypse, they are the buffer between this world and the shadowy realm below.

There is another world much like ours, inhabited solely by the denizens of what most would call Hell. This is Apocalypse, and the horsemen are its shepherds. They ensure that no unauthorized beings cross over into the realm of humanity.

But every system has its leaks, and it’s the Horsemen’s job to hunt those that slip through into our world. To that end they and their mounts prowl the world of men, unseen and unknown. They cannot afford to let humanity know what lies parallel to their world, of the darkness that lies beneath.

For all their best efforts more and more daemons are starting to slip through. It’s as if the barrier between the realm of Humanity and Apocalypse is crumbling. And if they are unable to find the source and put a stop to it, the trumpets of revelation will sound and Apocalypse will fall upon Humanity.
