-Chapter Three: The Kidnapping-
Everything was a haze. I had flashbacks of my home, the bomb, the last time I saw my family. I saw Maddy and Tana, reaching out towards me, but I couldn't move. They faded away, and I screamed after them, but they were gone.
I awoke with a jolt. My surroundings were unfamiliar, and I was extremely cold. I had been tied to an old chair at the very back of a long alleyway. The sky was overcast yet bright, and I couldn't tell where the sun was. I had no way of telling how much time had passed.
"Well, well," called a gruff voice from behind me. I tried to wriggle free from my bindings, but I couldn't budge. "Sleeping Beauty decided to rejoin us." He walked up beside me, and I squeezed my eyes shut, refusing to look at him. "Now, don't be shy darlin'," he said, "you still got to meet the rest of the gang." He spun my chair around, but I kept my eyes shut tight.
"I think she's defective," called a different voice. "Usually they're screaming and crying by now." Fury burned inside of me, how many innocent people had these bastards kidnapped?
"What are we supposed to do with her?" yet another voice said. "We've already got our own whores to play with, and I doubt she'd have any connections to drug dealers." What were they going to do with me? Surely Maddy wouldn't have them kill me before Dan and Phil come into the story, would she? (fourth wall = broken lol)
"I dunno, I just picked her out for fun! I was gunna let you guys figure out what to do!" exclaimed the first man.
"It's gettin cold out here, can we decide inside?" asked the second one.
"Fine, whatever," said the one beside me. "She ain't going anywhere soon, and it's not like a little cold will hurt 'er," he chucked as he kicked me. I heard metal scrape on cement as the ones I head talking stood up, and I opened my eye a crack as they shoved each other to get in the door.
There were fours guys in addition to the three I heard talking, although one of them was younger and had to be close to my age. He wasn't near as scraggly looking as the rest of the gang, and his dirty blonde hair looked well-kept compared to the greasy hair of the others. He also seemed rather shy, and wasn't talking or shoving people around like his comrades. He looked up at me, and our eyes made contact for a second before he got shoved inside by a bastard that was snacking on my Chinese food.
The door closed with a thud, and I was left alone with the image of his soft blue eyes staring at me. There was no way he could be a bitch like those others, right? He should've smirked at me or sent me a death glare if he wished me ill. Though I shouldn't have, I allowed that tiny shred of hope to keep me sane.
He'll set me free. I'll go back to Maddy and Tana. They're my home. I'll get out of here. I'll go home. They won't do anything bad to me.
I closed my eyes and let my head fall back. The air seemed to be getting colder by the minute, and all I could do was clench my shivering muscles to stay warm. Those bastards deserved to burn in hell. I pictured each of them in my head, burning, screaming in agony, and it somehow made me feel better. I spent extra long roasting the one that had kicked me, my ankle still hurt like fuck.
I began to drift off into a restless sleep, longing to be with Tana and Maddy and wishing I had never opened that fortune cookie.
