"their alive...." they spoke to themselves, it was quite and husky as the cold air blew through the trees, but something caught their eyes, behind them a few meters was a herd of the infected, so she aimed and fired

Even pulled out her chainsaw and started it up, she had found fuel at the settlement, when she went looking for supplies and survivors, Frost grabbed her axe and gun as she got ready to fight, Darlight pulled out her machete and aimed and Dream put her baseball bat in front of her

Scourge looked out the window of the moving care, worried for the person he loved, he couldn't shake the feeling something had happened and it wasn't good

Shadow and Silver felt this too, and dreaded the feeling to find out what had happened, the supplies they had gathered laid throughout the vehicle and on the roof rack above them

the snow had gotten deeper, but the forward drive was made for this kind of weather

"...Scourge?" Shadow asked

"Hmm?" Scourge hummed in response

"If anything happens to us...Take care of our brother for us please" Shadow said as Scourge turned to him and frowned

"Of course" "Thank you" 

hours later they had pulled up in front of the factory gates and were greeted by some of the people in their group, Jet opened the gate and let them in before closing it again

"your back!" Amy smiled as she looked at the three hedgehogs

"what? did you think we we're dead?" Scourge scoffed

"Well..." Amy looked down and nodded

"well we're not" Silver sighed before noticing a grave "W-what happened while we were gone....?"

"...one of the rooms still had some zombies in it, they broke out and attacked before we could do anything to stop it, one got cream" Knuckles sighed as he came outside 

"...was anyone injured?" Shadow asked

everyone hesitated 

"Well?" Silver frowned

"Your brother was attacked by Cream after she turned...right now he's unconscious" all three hedgehogs felt as if they had just been punched in the gut 

Scourge didn't say anything as he went inside, followed by Silver, while Shadow stayed as he looked at everyone

"how long has he been unconscious?" Shadow tried not to tremble

"two days..." Tails said

"lets just get this stuff inside" Shadow muttered as everyone nodded

the battle had been bloody and gruesome

"i'm out of fuel again" Even frowned as her chainsaw stopped moving as an infected approached her, she stepped away as she swung the machine onto her back and pulled out her butchers knife

"yeah and my bat is practically useless now" Dream held up the broken bat, which was only the handle 

another arrow whizzed past them and landed in the target the cloaked one had picked, making it drop dead

"Their one hell of a shot, wherever the heck they are" Frost gritted her teeth as she shot at the zombie in front of her

"we'll have to try and find them after their all down" Sapphire said as she kicked an infected person away from her and slammed her foot onto its head

Darlight dodged the attacks of the zombie who had decided to attack her, but she saw a brand on its neck...it was another sign for her, she quickly slammed the machete into its head and then decapitated it

after an hour there was only the rotten blood on the ground and the bodies of the dead, the girls panted as they looked at the sight, Dream discarded the bat as she heard footsteps approach

she turned and saw a cloaked figure headed towards them
