Blood filled the streets of Station Square, all you could hear were screams of fear, pain, death, but...also hunger.

Shot after shot was fired as G.U.N agents fired at the ones rising from the ground, blood all over them, but also a black substance dripping from their mouths.

The gunfire stopped and was replaced with cries for help and more screams as they were pulled to the ground and piled apon by the undead.

Only a few made it out of the city and only a few were able to hide from the infected, but this is only the beginning of the end.

'Help please! My baby is sick, we're low on food and water, their has already been 4 casualties, please send help!' A female voice cried threw the hand Powered radio

" and this was forecasted on all frequencies?" A blue hedgehog asked a twin tailed fox, they both were cover in rotten blood and torn clothes, a few others dragging rotten bodies to a corner in the room.

" yeah, it's on repeat " the fox replied with a soft sigh, they had set up camp in an abandoned factory they had cleared it a few hours ago, infected were still being piled up against the wall at the far end of the facility.

" get some rest Tails, I'll make sure nothing get in " The blue hedgehog smiled softly as Tails nodded in reply.

" you should get some rest as well Sonic " Tails said softly .

" I'll try bud " Sonic replied as he walked towards the entrance, but a red and black hedgehog stopped him.

" rest, you haven't in a few days " Shadow narrowed his eyes.

" and don't even think about going to help them...look I know you want to help...but we're low our selves, we've already lost some of our friends when a horde of runners attacked " Silver sighed as he now stood next to Shadow.

It was true, their were twenty nine of them in the group almost 2 and a half months ago, now there's only 13.

" and winters coming and we need to stock up on supplies if we're going to make it threw " Shadow sighed.

" I know " Sonic sighed

" go rest, Knuckles and Blaze are setting up the perimeter and mapping this place out; Espio, Amy and Vector are handing out rations and bed rolls; and Scourge, Me and Silver are going to find more supplies ok?" Shadow said with a slight frown

" ok " Sonic said and walked towards the large space they had set up several tents, a cooking station and a place for storage

" before you say anything Silver, I know some of us won't make it through the winter " Shadow sighed as he walked towards the entrance with Silver following behind to where Scourge was leaning against the wall waiting

The three hedgehogs headed to the closet town, which was a day walk from where they had set up

" come on Even! We have to go!" A pink dingo stated as she held a baseball bat with thick rotten blood coating it, she was wearing black leather jacket and long grey pants, torn at the ends, a pair of black boots and a pair of black biker gloves

" Ok! Ok! I just need to grab the last of this!" Shouted a blue female hedgehog as she stuffed her bag with cans of soup, a chainsaw next to her, she was wearing a thick dark blue jumper with black jeans both mattered with over use and a pair of white sports shoes

" just hurry, I won't be able to hold them off forever " the dingo said as she hit an infected in the head

" I know Dream! I'm almost done!" Even stated as she grabbed the last of the bottles of water and shoved them into her backpack and stood up slinging the chainsaw over her shoulder and grabbing a butchers knife and decapetating a zombie that got too close for comfort

" Ready " Dream started

" Set " Even stated

" go!" The two yelled at the same time

The two then ran past the last of the horde, taking down when those things lunged at them

A hooded figure sat atop a branch a bow and arrow in hand as they aimed at a soulless body as it limped and groaned looking for prey in the snow

The figure pulled on the bowstring and let go, the head of the arrow going straight through the head of the undead and digging into the bark of a great oak

The figure jumped from the high branch and landed safely in the snow, seven bodies leaking rotten blood lay in the freshly fallen snow

And walks to the camp berried in snow after collecting the arrows they had used, then headed to the abandoned camp, taking the frozen cans of food, the neglected weaponry and the thick clothing

The figure took out a photo from their bag as they finished packing everything away, two wolves stood there, one smiling like a maniac and the other with a grin

One was taller than the other, it was a female wolf with a robotic arm, a pair of navy jeans, a black leather jacket, a red t-shirt, a gold watch, silver dog tags and a pair of leather boots

The other was a male wolf, shorter by a few inches, a pair of black jeans, a grey t-shirt, a black leather jacket, a silver watch, silver dog tags and a pair of leather boots

" your in a better place, little brother " the voice cracked from sadness, grief and lack of use

The figure then disappeared into the frozen hinterland and to the camp they had set up in the tops of the trees

" okay how long until we can leave?" A blue hybrid Hedgecat groaned as walked though the town centre, she was wearing a blood stained hoodie with long grey pants, black gloves and shin high black boots, a gun in their hands

" Shut it Sapphire! Do you want to die?!" An arctic fox snapped as she glared at the hybrid, they were wearing a midnight blue hoodie, a pair of black pants, navy gloves and a pair of black snow shoes, an axe leaning on a piece on stray concrete

" both of you be quiet and Frost stop saying 'do you want to die' " hissed a black hedgehog, they wore a black leather jacket, a pair of black jeans, a white belt with studs, grey gloves and black, grey and white sports shoes, a machete attached to her belt

Sapphire and Frost huffed but stayed quiet, the three ran to an abandoned stall littered with useful materials

" hey a found a car with fuel and keys! It's also unlocked, whatcha think Frost and Darlight?" Sapphire grinned as she held open the car door with a pair of keys in her hand

" you always find things like this, I'm starting to think your carrying around a horse shoe " Frost stated blankly, Sapphire rolled her eyes

" You two can fight later, right now we need to get out of here " Darlight said as she pointed to a horde of undead coming towards them

Sapphire climbed into the car, along with Frost who had a bag over her shoulder, Darlight ran for the stall and stuffed her bag with what she could, she then ran for the car, slamming the door shut when she got in

" that was a close one " Sapphire mumbled as Frost started the car and took off down the road
