Laurence' pov

After Aphmau ran off from the party she didn't head in the direction of her house and I ran after her. As I followed her I saw she was walking around in the same place Garroth patrols.

I was about to ask what she was doing when I heard a twig snap and I hid in the trees. I looked where Aphmau was and I saw Garroth on a small hill with his sword drawn and him and Aphmau were just standing there starring into each others eyes.

Garroth was the first one to make a move, he walked slowly up to Aphmau. He stroked her cheek and looked into her eyes. His face inched closer to Aphmau's and right before there lips touched I quickly spoke up.

They parted from each other quickly and looked at me I was hiding how jealous I was with a smile. "Hey Aphmau I thought you had a headache?"U-um I do but first I wanted to check on Garroth."

She looked at me blushing and it made me mad. "Well if you wanted to check on him why where you so close?" I couldn't hide the irritation in my voice and Aphmau looked embarrassed.

Aphmau's pov

Laurence looked upset and I felt bad. "I-I'm sorry Laurence I lied to you about having a headache." I looked down to the ground and then Garroth spoke up "Laurence don't blame Lady Aphmau it was my fault she was worried about me that I didn't say anything about not attending the party."

Garroth looked sincerely sorry and Laurence said "fine lets go Lord Aphmau." He looked mad and grabbed be by the shoulder and drug me off. I looked behind me and Garroth had a sad expression on his face as he disappeared into the oak trees.

All the way to my house Laurence didn't talk to me he looked rely upset. We reached my house and he let go of my arm and I yelled "Laurence what is wrong with you?!"I'm sorry Lady Aphmau I don't know what came over me. You know it still hurts you rejecting me but turning around and being inches away from Garroth's face.

My cheeks burned red at Laurence' words and when he saw he looked sad. "Laurence I'm sorry."No it's fine Lady Aphmau just.......please I don't want to lose you. His cheeks were a little pink and I couldn't stand it any more so I retreated into my house.

Laurence' pov

After Aphmau went inside I left and looked up and saw her looking at me from her bedroom window. I turned around and left. I wanted Aphmau to like me but I didn't understand what I was doing wrong I try and protect her and I would give her all the love she needed.

I punched my fist on the tree next to me and sighed "It's Aphmau's life I shouldn't butt in but I-" I couldn't even finish my sentence when I realized how selfish I was acting it's her life and I shouldn't make her change.

Garroth's pov

After Laurence took Aphmau back to her house I hit my head in my palm and said "W-why did I have to get so close?!" I knew it was a stupid move but I did it anyway I wasn't even sure if Aphmau liked me back.
