I was sitting in the car with Zane and Aphmau. I silently stared out the window as my boyfriend and his best friend played Ispy.

"I spy... Something starting with.. S" Aphmau said for the 100th time

"Snow!" Zane said angrily

I covered my mouth as I tried to keep in a laugh

"Nope. It's Sourpuss! For what you're being" Aph said

I couldn't help it anymore, I burst out laughing

~Time skip to arriving at the lodge~

I looked out the window to see the wind picking up and snow blowing everywhere. I shivered as I got out of the car 'Its freezing!' I thought as Zane walked over to me from the other side of the car. Aph ran to the doors and into the lodge.

"Come on, let's get inside it's pretty cold" Zane said taking my hand and leading me inside

Zane and I hurried inside, out of the snow. Zane closed the door behind us. A loud thud was heard as it closed

I shivered from the cold

"Are you ok?" Zane asked softly

I nodded and sneezed

Zane hugged me and pulled me close, he was surprisingly warm for someone who had just come in from the cold. I buried my face in his chest as he wrapped his arms around my waist. I could feel my face heating up and I knew he was blushing as well. 'Hes so warm..' I thought to myself

"I love you" Zane whispered softly, looking down at me lovingly

I blushed and smiled "I love you too" I replied looking up at him

"Ehem" Garroth said "Baby brother!" He said excitedly

I could see the blush creeping over the top of Zane's mask

Zane quickly removed his arms from around my waist, I could feel my face heating up "Hey Garroth.." I said awkwardly

Zane groaned slightly "What do you want?" He asked Garroth

"Is that how you greet your brother?" Garroth asked

"It is when he interrupts me holding my girlfriend.." Zane grumbled

I blushed a little more from where I stood beside him "Zaane.." I protested quietly

Garroth laughed

I blushed more

"Again, what do you want Garroth" Zane said

"I just wanted to say hi" Garroth said

"Well you said it.. now leave" Zane said

I looked at Zane "Zane be nice to your brother" I said as I grabbed his hand

Zane looked at me and held my hand "Fine" he sighed "Garroth, it's great to see you." He said through his teeth

"It's great to see you too, Baby Brother" Garroth said smiling

I smiled, glad they were kinda getting along.. even if it was by force

"That's all I had to say, bye Baby Brother and Y/n" Garroth said smiling and walking away

Zane watched Garroth leave "You're lucky I love you." He said chuckling slightly

"I know" I said smiling

Zane smiled and pulled his mask down

I looked at him and blushed as I saw his freckles "they're so cute" I whispered, not realizing I'd said it aloud

Zane blushed a light red and leaned down to kiss me

I leaned up and kissed him, I blushed as he put his arms around my waist. My arms went around his neck, I smiled into the kiss then pulling away moments later and smiling at him

Zane smiled at me, his pale blue eye sparkling 'My Irene I love him' I thought

I smiled softly "I love you, Babe" I said

Zane smiled "I love you too, Kitten"

I blushed more and smiled

"Are you two done yet?" Lucinda asked

I blushed and looked at her

"If you'd been listening then you would know that we were figuring out who was going to the store, because we need supplies before the storm gets here." Lucinda said

Zane had pulled his mask up and was rubbing the back of his neck embarrassed "I'm staying here" he said

"Uh.. right.." I said still blushing "I think I'll stay here" I said awkwardly

"Alright" Lucinda said "Y/n, you are coming with us and Zane you stay here"

"What? Why?" I asked confused

"Because" Lucinda said

"That's not a reason.." I replied

Zane sighed "We both know there's no point in fighting them, here take my hoodie so you don't get cold" he said taking his hoodie off and slipping it on over my head. I put my arms in the sleeves and nodded

"Yeah.. " I said and kissed his cheek before they made me leave "I'll see you later" I said smiling as I walked out the door in front of Lucinda

~Time skip to after they realize Zane is gone and have found the tunnel~

I walked down the tunnel with everyone else "I hope Zane's ok.." I said quietly as I walked

I could hear Garroth and Aph talking in the background then suddenly the group came to a stop.

"We should go this way" Lucinda said

"No, this way" Aaron said

I stopped and looked at the fork in the tunnel

Aaron and Lucinda both went different ways, leaving the group to split up and follow them. I followed Lucinda. I didn't pay much attention until I heard them say something about candy bar wrappers from the lodge

~When Zane returns~

I hadn't slept in a few days.. I've been worried about Zane.. and I when I close my eyes.. I see Zane freezing and alone.. so I haven't slept in days.

I got up and wandered to the main room and suddenly the door burst open to reveal Zane.. he was shivering, I was still wearing his hoodie. I ran over to Zane and took his hoodie off, putting it back on him. "Zane, I'm so glad you're ok!" I said

Zane took the hoodie off and shoved me off "Get off of me!" He shouted

I fell backwards "Z-zane..." I said almost crying, I looked into his eye and saw it was an emerald green 'Green?'

Aphmau and Garroth went over to Zane I kept my distance.. I don't want to upset him

"Zane, are you ok?" Aph asked

"Yeah, I'm fine.. I just lost my brother in the woods. Luckily I found you here." Zane said to Aph

"Your brother? Vylad is here?" Aph asked

"No. My brother and I were camping and I got lost in the woods" Zane said

I listened to their conversation from my standing place.. Zane doesn't remember me or Garroth..

I couldn't deal with it anymore.. I left. I went back to the room I've been hiding in for the past few days. I sat on the bed holding back tears "This isn't Zane" I whispered shaking my head

Ever since then Zane was different.. and then.. one day Lucinda disappeared..

Thankfully Lucinda came back soon, but she was normal... She wasn't like Zane, and she helped us figure out how to save them. But then.. Zane took Aphmau away.. whoever his 'brother' was wanted her.. Aaron flipped out and went after them.

Garroth, Lucinda, Kim, and I went with him but he split off at one point and took one forever potion with him

Garroth and I went off on our own to find Zane

"ZANE!" I shouted through the forest

Garroth heard footsteps "This way,
Y/n!" He said running off

I followed close behind him "Zane!" I shouted suddenly the footsteps stopped and I looked straight at the love of my life, Zane.

"What do you want with me?!" Zane asked angrily

I stepped forward

"Stop! Right there!" Zane said "I know who you are and I'll never forgive you for what you did!"

I stood there in shock.. "Wha-what do you mean?" I asked confused

"You were never there for me. You always put yourself first! You never cared!" Zane shouted

"Zane I-" I started, suddenly there was a crash

Garroth had thrown the potion at Zane

Zane hugged me and cried "I'm so sorry!" He said sobbing

I hugged him and rubbed his back "Zane, it's ok" I whispered softly almost crying myself

Garroth was watching from the sidelines, not wanting to interrupt

"I didn't want to say any of that.. I wasn't in control of my body. I'd never say anything to hurt you" Zane said crying

I hugged him tighter "I love you" I said softly

Zane cried "I-i l-lo-love you t-too" he sobbed

I rubbed his back "Babe, it's ok" you didn't mean it" I whispered

Zane nodded and hugged me tightly

I held him tightly until he calmed down

Garroth heard something in the distance and went to help

I pulled Zane's mask down and kissed him

Zane kissed back and put his arms around my waist

I smiled and put my arms around his neck 'I am so glad he's ok'

Zane pulled away and smiled slightly "Thank you"
