Summary

On the planet Allix, the around-the-clock struggle for survival has produced a species of giant centipede with two heads. Time-sharing a single body, one head takes charge during the day, while the other runs the night-shift. Janux society is likewise split between day and night factions that never directly interact. But when the shrinking of their tropical mist forest threatens their mutual survival, is it time at last for their conjoined selves to part ways?
