Location: a random store,
Budapest, July 9, 2016
SILENCE FILLED THE AIR as the girls were walking down the street heading to a small shop that was also a gas station. Thoughts consumed their heads of everything that just happened. Walking down the girls admired the simple things like how beautiful the sun looks setting. As the brilliantly red and orange merge into one, making it have this lavish, extensive look. As the beautiful pops of pink and purple appear, insight.
"The red room is still active. Where is it?" questioned, Natasha as she entered the shop. Having Yelena and Emily head to the end of shop looking for some medical supplies.
Yelena grabbed something off the shelf and responded back to Natasha, "I have no idea. He moves location constantly. And every widow is sedated on entry and exit for maximum security."
"It doesn't make sense how can he stay off the radar without alerting anyone?" questioned Emily. Natasha agreed with Emily, it doesn't make sense at all, "Yea how can he stay off my radar so easily."
Yelena just scoffs at that their statements and turns around, to her sisters, "Well I doubt that having american agencies snooping around your organization is good for business."
Yelena's eyes shift to both of them, "And it is not smart to attack an avenger or an FBI agent when you want to stay hidden. I mean, Natasha for you the clue is in the name. Dreykov kills you, one of the big ones comes to avenge you. Hurt an fbi agent, you have one of the many american agencies, interfering in the businesses."
To Emily it made sense, you want to stay hidden, you won't do anything that causes attention. Natasha was a bit confused, "Wait what are the big ones?"
Both Emily and Yelena glance at her, as if she was insane. Was Natasha for real? Her team is literally full of superheroes, with powers that seem to be pulled off right from a movie. Yelena just shakes her head but answers Natasha anyways, "Well I doubt that a god from space needs to take an ibuprofen after a fight."
Emily lets out small giggle at that as Natasha glares at both of them. A small smile appeared on Yelena's face but it was instantly dropped as she signs and questions them, "Where did you both think I was all this time?"
Emily lets out a shaky breath. That right there is the million dollar question. Emily has been waiting for Yelena to ask this. They really needed to talk. She fucked up as a big sister and she wants to set things right.
Emily thinks about her answer. Gently as possible Emily answers her in a sentimental tone, "When I first got out, I did everything to make sure that I made up for all the things that I did and I kept tabs on you both and saw that you were living your lives and I thought it would be better for me not intervene so I cut the tabs which clearly was a mistake."
Natasha did not know what to think or how to respond. So she gave Yelena a short answer, "Like Emily said, I thought you got out and where living a normal life."
Yelena just scoffs at both of them, "And you never make contact again."
Emily just stayed silent. Her guilt was eating her up. Natasha thankfully answered her instead, "Honestly, I thought you didn't want to see me."
Yelena just stares at her before she answers her. She grabbed some medical supplies and looked back at Natasha, "BULLSHIT! You just didn't want your baby sister to tag along, while you saved the world with the cool kids."
Natasha did not think clearly of next choice words that came out of her mouth, "None of you were actually my sisters."
Natasha moved to the counter as she went to pay for the items she got. Emily stayed silent. She was hurt, did Natasha really not see her as her sister? Yelena felt the same. She felt hurt but she obviously rebutted back, "And the avengers aren't really your family."
The tension was so thick. There was nothing that girls felt but confusion and betrayal. Their whole lives have been a lie but there were moments that meant so much that it stuck with them. Emily being the oldest and dumbest decided to break the tension, as she looked at Natasha, "How come you always do that thing? You did it earlier today too."
Yelena let out a small chuckle knowing what Emily was implying. Natasha raised her eyebrows in confused, "Do what?"
Emily replied back to her, "The thing you do when you are fighting?"
Natasha raised her eyebrow again, she really had no clue what Emily was implying. Yelena was luckily happy enough to demonstrate, as she bent down, "The.. Like, the"
Yelena bend completely down, "This thing that you do when you whip your hair when you're fighting with the arm and the hair."
Yelena put one leg out as the other leg was keeping her balance and she put one arm in the air and the other on the floor as she whipped her hair back and forth. Emily let out a big laugh, as she peaks at Natasha's face, while Yelena kept teasing, "It's a fighting pose. You're a total poser."
Natasha just gave them both a stern look, "I'm not a poser."
Yelena scoffs at her, "Oh, come on, I mean, they're great poses, but it does look like you think everyone's looking at you, like all the time."
Natasha gave her a serious look, "All that time I spent posing, I was trying to do something good to make up for all the pain and suffering that we caused. Trying to be more than just a trained killer."
Yelena just eyed at her, she wishes it was that simple but at the end of the day they still 'do terrible things' on which ever side you are on, "Well, then you were fooling yourself because pain and suffering is every day and we are all still trained killers."
Emily just signs at both of them. They really need to get some group therapy. But Yelena is right because, her job is to catch the bad guys but in order for her to do that, she has to think like they do and it is so exhausting. Sometimes she understand that is her job, that she and her team hunt down monster everyday. But how different is she and her team compare to them?
Emily looks at Yelena who is still continuing her point, "The difference between me and you two is I am not the one on cover magazine or the one who is constantly on news. I'm not a killer that little girls call their hero."
With that Yelena left the store, leaving the other girls to follow her. They found this place to patch up. Emily said she needed a minute as she walked down through a little path. She took deep breath, and took out one of the many disposable phone she has and start to dialed the number in.
"Hello?"
Emily chuckled at Garcia's sleepy voice. She totally forgot about the time zones. "Sorry to wake you up PG."
Garcia immediately sat up at the sound of Emily's voice, "Oh, my raven hair goddess is so good to hear from you. How are you? Are you hurt? Do you need..."
"Garcia you are rambling."
"Sorry."
Emily misses Garcia. Especially after a hard case, Garcia will brighten her day, she was a ray of sunshine. "I'm fine. Just checking in with you, okay. I should get going but I'm fine okay."
Garcia took deep breath she up is glad that Emily is fine. "I'm glad you are okay. But nothing out of the ordinary going on right?"
Emily started to move closer to her sisters, "Why you ask."
"Nothing is just we had a case and it was weird and I wanted to make sure everything is good."
Emily took deep breath "I'm fine PG. I have to go now okay."
Emily hung up, got rid of the phone as thought consume her head as what case did the team deal with to make Garcia worried. With that Emily went up to her sisters and sat down.
As Natasha went to go get them alcohol as Emily started to patch up her head and Yelena started to do the same on her arm. Yelena glances at Emily, "So miss little fbi, how is life working for an american agency?"
Emily lets out a chuckled at Yelena teasing her, "Is interesting. Always busy so it can get a little tiring and exhausting but it feels good helping out, you know? Just seeing all the evil and horrific things that people can do is unbelievable and it gets to you..."
Emily stopped for a moment to gather her thoughts, Yelena patiently waited for to continue, "I remember when I first got out I saw the world as a place full of sunshine and rainbows but as time passed the more I learned. I know what the world can do to a girl who only sees beauty in it."
Yelena just gives her a small smile as she puts some alcohol on her cut. Emily returned the smile. "I'm sorry for leaving you behind Lena along with Nat. I should have done more. I'm sorry."
Emily's voice was breaking up. Yelena just gives her a little chuckle. Emily was confused. "You didn't leave me and Nat behind. Nat left first then you did. The red room punished you for Nat leaving since you were the oldest. They messed with your mind. Is all in the past now okay, all we can do is move forward."
Yelena did not know why but she had to make sure that her oldest sister does not blame herself. What happened to the three of them was not their fault. Emily just gave her a small smile. Maybe Yelena was right but it does not change the fact that she did not check on them or came back to end the red room. How could she be so naive?
Natasha eventually came back and handed them their beers. Which both Emily and Yelena gladly took and took a huge sip from. Natasha sat next to Emily. It was silence between the girls, but they had a lot to talk about.

notes!
THANK YOU FOR 14K READS 🤍
So not there was not a lot of Nat, in the end of this chapter. But the reason is I feel that Nat tends to run away from emotions but they will all have to talk about it sooner or later.
