"THEY'RE TOPSIDE, SIR!"
"Tier 1 has LOS!"
"We've got all exits covered."
"All right. Stay alert."
"I'm sending in alpha squad. Natasha Romanoff is in violation of the Sokovia Accords. She assaulted the king of Wakanda," ordered Thaddeus Ross to his men to arrest Natasha Romanoff but he underestimates Natasha.
Natasha just rolled her eyes at his stupidity. She was keeping eyes on him the moment he entered the building. He really was a pain in the ass. But okay, it was time for her to do this. She grabbed her phone and dialed his number. She saw him pick up the phone and answered, "Yeah."
"Don't do this," Natasha knew he was setting up himself for failure. But he is a man and they are stubborn and let their ego get in their way.
"Do what?"
Natasha just rolled her eyes. Was he serious? "Come after me. I mean you're embarrassing yourself. It looks desperate."
Ross really needs to arrest her, he does not want to seem weak in front of his supervisor, "Thought maybe you'd be calling me to cut a deal. 'Cause from my vantage point, it's the federal fugitive who's desperate."
Gross. He wants to cut out a deal? He is the one that needs her, not the other way around. "From my vantage point, you look like you could use some bed rest. What is this, your second triple bypass? I wouldn't worry about me."
"We got Barton, we got Wilson and that other guy, the incredible shrinking convict. Rogers is on the run. You have no friends. Where are you gonna go?" Ross couldn't help but smirked slightly as he knew Natasha had nowhere to run.
Natasha just rolled her eyes. Like she didn't already know that. "I've lived a lot of lives before I met you, Ross. You shouldn't have gone to all this trouble. I'm done."
Natasha hung up, made her way out. She was in the lovely country Norway. The cold air instantly hit her face. She made her way to the side of the boat and slowly threw the phone across the water and made it back to her little home. Making her way home she heard some snoring and so she made her way over to the room, "You're in my bed."
"I'm... I'm not even under the covers," complained the one and only Rick Mason. But Natasha being herself got to the point of his visit here, "Did you get everything on my list?"
"Got passports, entry visas, a couple of local driver's licenses. Mix and match, you should be able to stretch it to 20 or so identities." Rick's specialty was literally helping people be on the run and some other specialties. He saw Natasha's confused facial expression, "Fanny Longbottom?"
"What?" Rick was confused, there was nothing wrong with that.
"What, are you 12?" Natasha couldn't help but roll her eyes. Was he serious? Rick was a little offended there was nothing wrong with that name.
"That is a legitimate name. We've got a generator outside. It's petrol-powered. And the septic tank will need a flush in a couple of weeks, but, you know, I've got a guy coming for that. You have to haul your rubbish into town. It's just a 20-minute drive.I've got your basic hardware kit stashed under the stairs."
"Nice." Natasha had everything that was needed and she will be fine. Rick couldn't help notice something was wrong with her, "Are you okay?"
Damn was she that obvious, "Why wouldn't I be?"
"I hear things. You know, something about the Avengers getting divorced..." Rick was scared that he was going to say something wrong. Natasha really didn't want to think about it. "Ugh. It's fine. I'm actually better on my own."
Rick wasn't convinced at all, "Are you sure?" Natasha wasn't sure but if she said she was okay then eventually she would be okay, "Yeah."
Rick was still not convinced, "Because you can tell me, you know. That's the way the whole friends thing works." Natasha just chuckled at him trying, "I know. I have friends." Rick still didn't look convinced, "People who have friends don't call me."
Natasha just rolled her eyes, "And I don't pay you to worry. Oh, hey.
What's all this junk?" Rick looked over the box of stuff on the side, "Oh, just some mail and personals from the Budapest safe house."
"Budapest?"
"Yeah. Budapest."
"No, it's "Budapesht."
"Budapest."
"Budapesht."
"It's "Budapest."
"Whatever," Natasha, was tired of them arguing. She was right though. Funny enough of Rick gave that flat to Yelena without knowing that she was Natasha's sister, "I knew you weren't going back there, so I've got someone else in the flat now."
"Sorry you went through the trouble. I would've told you to chuck it."
"Well, if you don't want it, throw it in the rubbish." With that Rick left and left Natasha alone to settle in. She took a shower and watched one of her favorite films until generator power ran out.
Great. With that, she got in her car and made her way into the city. About to make a left turn, a missile hit her car causing the car to flip several times. Glass went everywhere and her car was in a position where it was close to falling off. Turning her head she saw a figure that was completely covered up. Had a mask and suit on that showed no sign of the body. Heavy armed assuming for protection.
"I'm pretty sure Ross has no jurisdiction here."
Natasha was stuck. She was trying to move herself up to grab her gun but the seatbelt wouldn't come off. She finally pulled it off and climbed up the seats and grabbed the gun and pointed ahead of her, "And you should know I'm a better shot when I'm pissed off."
Natasha started shooting at the mystery figure but they blocked it with a shield and threw the shield at Natasha. Natasha grabbed a knife and a gun as she climbed out of the car. She got on her knees and pointed the gun ahead of her where the figure was standing, realizing it was not there she turned around immediately and pointed the gun up and started to shoot but the shield blocked it. The figure kicked the gun out of Natasha's hands.
Natasha charged forward and grabbed its arms and twisted her body upwards to go through, but the figure did the exact same movement throwing her own ground. With that both of them in sync flipped forwards and studied each other. But the figure wasn't there for her, it got up and turned towards the car to grab what it came for. Interesting thought Natasha, "You're not here for me."
With that Natasha quickly saw what it was looking for, she took out a knife and went towards it but the figure turned around to block the hit. Natasha tried to stab it but the figure brought her down but Natasha dropped the knife and caught it with her other hand. But the figures pushed her back, hurting her even more. Natasha quickly took a pen but it was a rope that tied the figure up as she ran to grab what it came for and put it in her pocket. She used the box as a way to block the hit and grab the shield to block the hits that kept coming but the figure did a twisty movement, that kick her off the bridge to the water.
With all her energy left Natasha dragged herself out of the water and started to pant heavily. She was in pain and was trying to calm down. She took something out of her pocket and saw a group of red vials. The vials were shining and it gleamed her face up with the darkness surrounding her. Around the vials, there was a paper in the center and Natasha pulled it out. It was a picture of her, Yelena, and Emily as little kids. Something happened but what?
"Oh, shit."
