Yusei's Garage Part 1
Yusei walked out from his bedroom and headed to the small kitchen attached to the living room, feeling his stomach growl out of hunger. He didn't eat much the other night, so he was more hungry than usual. He decided to grab the one thing that can fill his stomach and the easiest thing to make: cup ramen. As soon as he got to the kitchen, he opened one of the cabinets and picked up one ramen cup, mentally relieved that there was more cups in the cabinet.
"At least I don't have to buy any more yet," he said to himself. As he was making his breakfast, Yusei contemplated of some friends that he hasn't seen since he moved to the complex. He missed them but he wasn't too vocal about it because he didn't want his friends in the complex to worry about him. All he can hope is that his old pals will fulfill their promise to him. Jaden walked into the living room as Yusei was turning on the water boiler.
(This is what a water boiler looks like.)
"Good afternoon, Yusei," Jaden yawned loudly, stretching his arms in the air. "How did you sleep?"
"I slept pretty well last night," Yusei responded. "By the way, it's still 11:30 a.m.. It's technically still morning."
"What, you woke up before noon?!"
"Surprising, right?" Yusei chuckled to himself as he put the ramen cup underneath the nozzle of the water boiler before he continued on. "I have someone picking up an engine soon at the garage, so I have to head over there soon."
"Is it in 30 minutes again?" Jaden asked, going over to the pantry to find some breakfast.
"No, this time I woke up an hour early," Yusei answered, already having the hot water in his cup and stirring it. "I learned from the last time."
"Yeah, you almost didn't make it to the customer at the garage! You cut it pretty close that time. Anyway, can I ask you something?"
"Sure, what is it?"
"Can I come with you to the garage?" Yusei almost spat out the ramen in his mouth when Jaden asked that question. The reason the one with the ramen reacted this way was because no one's asked him about going to the garage. No one except him and customers have been in that place, and he didn't think that Jaden would ask. Of all the people that would want to go to the garage, why Jaden?
"Is there a reason why you want to come with me?" Yusei asked, confused as he continued to eat his cup ramen.
"I'm just curious of where you work at, dude," Jaden said with a cheeky grin. "I've seen the restaurant that Lizzy works at, but I haven't seen the garage yet."
"Are you sure you want to see it? It's a little messy from all the work I've been doing lately..."
"Eh, it probably looks better than my bedroom! Come on, please?" Yusei sighed softly and said,
"If that's what you want, then I won't object to it."
"Sweet!" Jaden exclaimed. "Thanks, dude!"
"You're welcome, Jay," Yusei smiled softly. "Now get ready so that we can leave as soon as we can."
"But I gotta eat bagels first. You get to eat ramen right now!"
"Okay, let's just eat breakfast first then."
That's the end of the first part of the chapter! The second part will be out tomorrow. I hope you enjoy! :)
