"I have been warning you but you don't listen." Thembi said giving me the i told you so pep talk.

"Okay, just because he was talking to some white girl it doesn't mean anything." I told her as I continue washing the dishes. I said this confidently not because I think I'm special or anything like that, no. I said it because I know he is engaged so even if he doesn't do it for me, i knew he will do it for his fiancée.

He is already cheating with you though, once a cheater always a cheater.

I don't care ; I told myself.

"It's a good thing you said 'White girl'..." Thembi mumbled. She was clearly enjoying this. I felt like I could just slap that smack off her face. I knew she just wanted Leo all to herself. Her full comments were unnecessary and clearly not appreciated. I don't know why i was acting so cold maybe it's jealousy.

I'm not jealous.

"Stop putting things in my head." I warned her. I wasn't even going to tell her that Leo was an engaged man because she would just rub it in my face every channel she gets.

Thembi gave me a suspicious look as she pursed her lips ; I rolled my eyes thanking God that she was having the night off.

"They did look kind of good together." Thembi mumbled. I immediately grabbed the dish towel beside me and started hitting her playfully and she laughed loudly making me even more annoyed  Infact I wasn't even annoyed anymore ; I just laughed a her stupidity.

"I see you enjoy acting like animals, i mean you are monkeys." A dominating voice interrupted making all the laughter die out. I turned around and saw Meneer Niemack. I thought all the guests had left well clearly not.

"Is there anything I can help you with baas ?" I asked him trying my best to sound polite. Thembi suddenly became rigid as if she had seen a ghost. I had never seen her act this way.

"Nie (no). Just checking on Thembi here, i see you enjoy working with Johan." He hissed scratching his scruffy beard.

"Uh j-j-j-a" Thembi stuttered.

"Johan said Felo should come to the pool." He added and I felt Thembi shiver under his stare, i had never seen her like this.

"Uhm okay Meneer." I said about to leave but Thembi pinched me and I tried not to flinch under Mr. Niemack's stare. He was 6ft tall and had scratchy brown unshaven beard with brown messy locks. The only thing I knew was he was Thembi's old boss before she started working here, no wonder she was nervous.

"Get going kaefer." He almost yelled but Thembi was holding onto me like her life depended on me. I gave her an assuring smile then walked away, i swear I heard her whimper when I did. I didn't leave the kitchen completely I waited on the corner watching his every move intently.

He walked towards Thembi backing her up onto the kitchen island.

"I missed you my pronkertjie." He licked her cheek and I whimpered. "You thought I wouldn't find you Thembi my sweet patatta." He chuckled.

My heart skipped a bit, i was shocked. What could he possibly want from her ? I thought to myself.

"My pronkertjie." He said touching Thembi is despicable ways. "I want you to go wait for me in your little room at the back remove jou onderbroek (your panties) just like the good old days."

I gasped as if he had been saying these things to me. I held the palm of my hand on my mouth to avoid making any sound or being caught.

Did he rape Thembi ?

Did she do it willingly ? no it couldn't be.

"I-i-i share a room with someone." She snirveled under his gaze and I felt horrible for her.

"My pronkertjie (sweetpea) it will only be a bietjie sekonde (few seconds)." He growled forcefully taking her slim hand and putting it in his trousers. My heart clenched, i felt like my eyes were deceiving me. This man had a wife and kids and he was too old for Thembi, Thembi was only twenty- three and he seemed to be nearing his early fifties. I don't think I have ever hated the word 'Pronkertjie'  the way it i did now at this very moment.

"Voel my pipi (touch my penis)." He said guiding her, as her hand was still in his jeans. I felt so disgusted, i couldn't imagine the things Thembi had been through.

"Felooooooo-" i heard Mr. De Ruiter calling me. Mr. Niemack probably sensed that I had not gone where I was called for. I was so scared so I scurried off to the pool, my eyes slightly blurry and bloodshot. Mr. De Ruiter was alone, i was eight everyone had left.

"Felo, My medicine." He said a little calmer rather he looked tired because I expected him to shout at me. My mind kept wondering back to what Mr. Niemack could be doing with Thembi right now at this moment.

I ran back into the house, straight into the kitchen. There was no one in the kitchen, my heart immediately felt like it was running a marathon, hyperventilating. I was worried beyond worried. My hands were sweaty and shaking. I grabbed Mnr. de Ruiter's
multiple pills. I looked back and fourth from the dining to the lounge area. I was startled when someone put their hands around my waist.

No, he won't rape me too.

I stepped into his feet as hard as I could and I heard Leo groan in pain. "Fuck. Is this about earlier because I swear I was doing anything."

I immediately panicked feeling bad. "I'm so sorry Leo, i just thought-" i stopped myself from talking I didn't want to put my friend in anymore trouble.

"It's nothing, Mnr. De Ruiter needs to take his pills before eight in the evening." I composed myself and he looked at me suspiciously before checking his wrist watch.

"It's actually nine already, Hope." He smirked.

"Can you tell Mnr. De Ruiter that he needs to check our room right now. The light bulb isn't working and he just needs to come like right now. I know he won't listen to me but he will listen to you." I paced back and fourth. It was worth a try.

He looked at me suspiciously then spoke. "That's what's worrying you ?" He questioned and I nodded.

"Yes, now lets go." I grabbed his hand.

When we got to the pool, De Ruiter  had his bottle of water in hand. He looked tired. I gave him his pills and he took them like a champ, it seems like everyone was doing everything slowly and I just wanted them to hurry because something could be happening. I nudged Leo to talk when there was now nothing but silence.

"Uncle Johan, the girls room Uhm tr light bulb is not working you need to check it out right now." Leo spoke calmly.

"You are a young man and I'm an old man, you should fix it Leo." He chuckled grabbing his walking stick. He never used it much only when he was outside.

"Asseblief (Please) Meneer." I begged him.

"Okay okay but I'm not going to fix it tonight, it's too late and I need to catch some sleep."

My heart jumped for joy when he said that. It really annoyed me the pace that he was taking, it was so slow. This was an emergency, we needed to walk a little faster but Mnr is really old, sick and fragile so i couldn't rush him. When we finally made it to the back, the little cottage coming to view. I prayed that I was too late, if they were doing what I think they were doing.

"Leo open the door ?" De Ruiter gestured. Leo opened the door only to review, Meneer Niemack buckling his belt and Thembi crying her eyes out, the blankets covering her only diginity that was left.

My eyes immediately watered, i didn't want to but I couldn't help it I was that sensitive.

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER ?" Leo yelled immediately bashing his against the wall and holding his collar. The disgusting man only chuckled. I ran to sit next to Thembi as she cried on my shoulder,  i was too late.

"Leo it's none of our business, let's go. It's time for bed." Mnr De Ruiter yawned walking away. My eyes widened, he wasn't serious was he. His employee was just raped by one of his so called friends and this this this-

Leo punched Mnr. Niemack to a pulp. I didn't stop him. He deserved it. Blood on his nose and mouth, he continued chuckling.

"UNCLE JOHAN CALL THE POLICE." Leo yelled still holding the bloody man down.

"Report me, go ahead report me to the police so that she get arrested for seducing me into sleeping with her." He stood up then spat his blood on ground.

"Leo, it's done you can't do anything about it." Mnr. De Ruiter sighed.

I felt helpless, he felt helpless, she felt helpless.

the perpetrator walked away just like that.
