Chapter 2
(Luke's pov)
Aoyde had messy brown hair down to her chest with no style specific to it. It was kind of just, wavy. She wore a cream colored sweater over her black 2013 Warped Tour t shirt. Her green backpack hung on only one of her shoulders. There was no jewelry anywhere on her, unless you count about seven rubber bracletes. Her dully green eyes stared at me as if judging me, or testing me. I could just tell she didn't like me, or she wanted nothing to do with me right away.
I walked over to her smiling, puting out my hand to shake. Sure a hug or something might be more welcoming, but right now a shake is the only thing I think she'd go for. She stared at my hand like it was something she never seen before. After a few seconds she pushed past me and joggeed upstairs like I was a total waste of her time.
"Don't take it personally, Luke" Lillian pat me on the back. "She just isn't comfortable with people."
"Neither was I when I was sixteen," I smiled down at her as she observed my lip ring. Lillian wasn't very fond of piercings, but she wasn't my real Mum so why the hell would I care?
"I still can't believe you let him get that," She gestured at my mouth.
"It was his own decision, he's an adult he can make his own choices," My Dad stood up for me. I smiled and thought.
"I am gonna try to talk to Aoyde, again," I informed them. I felt bad that she was uncomfortable by me.
"Lukey, hun. I don't think she'd like that," Lillian stopped me.
"You can talk with me!" A light voice said, I looked down to see a small girl with the curliest blonde hair and green eyes, unlike her sister's eyes hers were bright green. "I'm Casey." She held onto my leg.
"I'm Luke," I kneeled down and smiled at her.
"You're tall," She giggled staring at my now closer face in awe.
"I know," I chuckled.
"You're taller than Ashton?" She asked placing her small hand on my shoulder. She knew my band?
"Yeah, a little bit," I nodded. "You like Ashton?"
"Yes!" A lot!!" Casey smiled.
"I am sure he would love to hear that," I winked.
"You're gonna tell him??" She gasped. I love little kids, they're so adorable.
"Or you can later," I showed her my phone.
"Yay!" She hugged me tight around the neck and I hugged her back. Picking her up and spinning her around. She giggled as I spun her. "Wanna go play?" Casey asked as I put her down.
"Of course," I smiled at the seven year old.
"Okay let's go," She grabbed my hand and dragged me up the stairs to her princess themed bedroom. I've never seen so much pink in my life. "Which princess do you wanna be?" She showed me about five dolls.
"Uhm... are any of them penguins?" I asked not really knowing much about any of them. I never had a sister, just two brothers. So I've never really played dolls or any shit like that.
"No!" Casey laughed like I was insane. "I can give you Elsa though, she's the ice queen."
"Okay," I smiled taking the doll she handed to me. I really regret falling asleep during Frozen when we watched it on the bus. Cause I don't really know anything about the movie or this creepy little figure in my hand right now.
Casey used a red haired doll that kind of looked like Michael as a girl. I just chuckled and stared at it. Casey made the doll stand up and started speaking for it.
"Hi I am Ariel, what's your name?"
"Luke?" I looked at Casey confused.
"Not you! The doll!" She whisper yelled.
"Ohhh..." I picked up the pale blonde doll. "I'm Elsa!" I made her say in a girly voice which was weird.
"Hi Elsa, wanna come to my tea party?" Casey asked. I thought it was just a myth that little girls had tea parties. I sighed.
"Sure," my voice cracked. "I've never been to one."
"Then lets go," Casey smiled running to a small table with her dolls. I am sick of this game already. "C'mon Lukey join us three."
"Uhm... okay..." I walked over and sat in a tiny chair. "I think I'll need a bigger chair..."
"Why?" I tried to stand up and my butt was stuck in the small plastic one.
"Know what, this one will do," I sat back down as it snapped completely under me. Casey looked at me horrified.
"But why is he even here?" I heard an unfamiliar voice ask upset from the hallway.
"He wanted to spend Christmas with his Dad," Lillian answered sounding more cheerful than whoever she was talking to.
"Well Andrew could've went down there for Luke, why'd Luke have to come here?"
"Because Luke is family now Aoyde, you have to accept that some new people will be entering your life, and some will be leaving. You can't control that, nobody can. You just have to treat people right when they're in your life so they won't want to leave," Lillian explained sounding a bit annoyed. So that's what Aoyde's voice sounded like.
"What if I want him to want to leave? He makes me uncomfortable, he's too tall and has piercings and all that," Aoyde mumbled.
"You haven't even talked to him yet Aoyde, he's a nice boy," Lillian said while walking in the room with a laundry basket. Which she dropped when she saw my chair's condition. Aoyde just stood in the doorway awkwardly while observing me.
"Mama he broke my chair!" Casey complained pointing at me.
"Luke, why on Earth did you think you'd fit in a plastic chair for little girls?" Lillian questioned trying not to laugh.
"I honestly have no idea," I shrugged.
"That was my only blue chair," Casey cried.
"Don't cry Case," I panicked. "You can call Ashton now, tell him all about how you hate me now." I typed in Ash's number before handing her my phone.
"I could never hate you Lukey," She sniffled taking the phone and putting it to her ear.
"Hello?" I heard Ashton yell from the phone.
"Hi, this is Casey, Luke's step sister. Luke told me to talk to you..." Casey said sounding nervous but then she smiled and ran out of the room talking to him on the phone.
"Thank you, Luke" Lillian smiled at me.
"I'll replace the chair," I offered.
"It's a plastic chair, Luke. And she has six extras in the garage, they break a lot," She explained.
"Okay," I nodded getting out of the broken chair parts and picked them up.
"See he's nice," Lillian said to Aoyde before they both walked out of the room. Leaving me to sit awkwardly on the floor surrounded by pink.

(Aoyde's pov)
"I'm going out," I sighed grabbing my white bag covered in musical notes.
"Where exactly?" My Mom crossed her arms.
"I just wanna go for a walk around town," I shrugged, "It's peaceful."
"Okay," She nodded. "Proceed."
"Thank you," I waved. I almost made it out my front door and then...
"Actually hun, mind taking Luke with you?" My Mom wondered. Luke looking over at me.
"I mind a little bit actually..."
"Aoyde! Luke's a guest and I want him to learn his way around town," Mom sighed.
"Then send him our with a trail for breadcrumbs," I groaned.
"It's really fine, I can ask my Dad to show me around later," Luke cut in.
"Aoyde you either take him or you don't go out," My Mom expressed seeming just as ticked off as me.
"Fine," I put my bag down. "I'll be in my room until he leaves." I jogged upstairs stomping.
I'll be honest. I wasn't the most polite daughter to my Mom. She was really nice, and she wants everyone to be able to see good in each other. But she just can't get it through her head that I don't wanna deal with people. Especially not asshole teenagers like Mr.Perfect in the living room. He may fool my Mother but not me. He acts all sweet and polite so he gets the perfect chance to drag the carpet from under people's feet unsuspectedly. His game was obviously to get Andrew and my Mom divorced. It wasn't exactly a shocker.
"Can I come in?" A voice said from the outside of my door as they knocked.
"Probably not in your best interest," I mumbled.
"Please?" I didn't answer. They knocked again.
"What?" I ripped the door open to see Luke standing there.
"I'm sorry you don't like me, can we please talk?" Luke asked in his sweet little fuckboy voice. So I just shook my head and slammed the door in his face. "Ow.."
"Good," I rolled my eyes.
"What did I do to you?" I heard him ask shyly from the otherside of the door.
"What did you do?" I restated. "Listen, Mr.Perfect," I opened my door. "You're no golden ray of sunshine here. I know you think if you act all sweet and innocent a girl will serve you hand and foot. But, not me, so kindly screw off." I slammed the door in his face again.
I didn't want a new family, I wanted my Dad back.
