Btw, this update turned out super boring, and not even very enjoyable to read. I'm so sorry guys. I've been distracted with some stuff, and it just kind of went out on my updates. Hopefully my next one will be better. But anyway, hope you enjoy!

"Good morning class. Today, our field trip starts, as many of you know." The teacher, Mr. Shadis called out, as he walked into the classroom, glaring over his students. "The ones who are not able to come, well I'm very disappointed in you all, and I know you can't take the heat. You will stay here at school, and you will work on essays, no exceptions." A few of the students groaned.
Today, their class was going camping. It was to test out their skills that they have learned, and to prove to their teacher that the practicing has gone to good use. It was a special class, to learn how to fight, for self defense. Not many schools had these types of classes, but this school was a different kind of school. They offered many types of different class. There was one who even offered how to fly around on Maneuver Gear. Weird, right?
Armin Arlert, the school's brain, was dared to take this class. His friends knew all too well he was no good fighter, but Armin wanted to feel strong and not like a little boy who chickened out on a dare, so he decided to take on the dare. His fighting was definitely not all too amazing.
"We will be leaving in five minutes. I hope you brought all your clothes and such. As you may know, we will be in the woods for 3 straight days. I want no one to complain, understood?" Mr. Shadis yelled, glaring at some of his whiney students.
The students, who were going on the trip, called out, "Yes sir!"
Armin was nervous. He knew he wasn't a good fighter, and he was afraid he would just make a fool out of himself.
"Calm down, Eren. You're gonna do great." His best friend, Eren, muttered while sending Armin an encouraging smile.
Armin sighed. "I don't believe I will."
"Sure you will. I believe in you."
Eren has been Armin's best friend ever since they were children. Eren has always been there for Armin, and vice versa. Unfortunately, Armin always felt like a loser compared to Eren. Eren was one of the top ten fighters of the class, unlike Armin. Armin practiced day and night, trying his best to get someone better at fighting, but failed. Eren hasn't barely practiced at all, yet he got rated high.
"Easy for you to say." Armin whispered, placing his chin in the palm of his hand, sighing.
Five minutes later, and everyone was heading outside to the bus. The students who were not able to come along, stayed behind with a substitute teacher, with a ton of work for them to do. Armin almost felt bad for the students. But he said nothing, like usual.
Armin followed right behind Eren, as they tried to find a seat. Eren was suddenly pulled into a seat beside Mikasa. Armin had planned on sitting next to his friend.
"Sorry, Armin. Maybe find another seat?" Eren suggested, looking sorry. Mikasa had the same expression.
Thought Armin and Eren were best friends, it was hard to compete with Mikasa and Eren's friendship. They've basically known each other their whole lives, since Mikasa was adopted into the family many years ago. It was completely understandable, but sometimes it was tough to tough to just hang around with Eren alone.
Eren wore a fake smile, nodding. He walked farther back into the bus, finding no two empty seats. Each row had at least one person already sitting at one. Armin sighed, picking a random seat, not bothering to say anything to the guy sitting beside him.
Many minutes passed, the bus had started and was on the road, on their way to the camping site they would be staying at.
Armin fetched his book out of his bag that he brought along with him, finding the place he left off at an hour ago, and began to read. The ride to camp site was going to be over 3 hours long, so he had to distract himself somehow.
30 minutes later, and Armin has already finished the book, and forget to pack another, sadly.
"Dang it." Armin muttered, dropping his book back into his bag.
"Want to read this?" Armin heard the boy speak, for the first time since they've been on the bus.
Armin's head quickly snapped in the direction of the voice, and saw who it was. It was Jean. They barely ever speak. Armin was always slightly afraid of him, after seeing how he treats Eren.
Armin glanced at what Jean was pointing to, and saw that he was holding a book from a famous author. Armin's eyes widen at the book. He's been looking for the book for ages, and has failed at finding it.
"Can I?" Armin asked, eyes widened.
"Well I did just ask if you wanted to." Jean replied, chuckling. He hd farther towards the blonde, insisting on him taking it from his hands.
Armin quickly glanced back and forth between the book and Jean, before quickly grabbing the book from Jean's grasp. "Thank you so much."
"Sure thing, blondie."
While Armin practically buried his nose in the book, Jean stared at the blonde beside him. He was astonished by how Armin was so into books. Everyone who Jean was friends with, basically wanted nothing to do with books, and even skipped out on essays because they didn't want to read the book. Jean was secretly into books, not as much as Armin was, but close. Even sharing his book with Armin was a big step for him. He couldn't resist sharing his hidden secret with Armin, after seeing how his big blue eyes widened when he really got into the books.
An hour had passed, and Armin closed the book, looking extremely happy with what he had just read. "You have amazing taste, Jean. Never expected that."
Jean's eyebrows furrowed. "What's that supposed to mean?!"
Armin's eyes quickly widen. "I didn't mean it like that, sorry!"
Jean waved it off, and grabbed his book back when Armin handed it to him. "Thanks, though." Jean muttered, slipping his book back into the bag.
A few minutes have passed, and Armin could feel Jean staring at the side of his face, and it was slightly making him uncomfortable. When Armin's eyes shifted to Jean's direction, he could see Jean quickly look away, but ARMIN brushed it off.
The silence between the two of them was slightly making Armin and Jean uncomfortable and just about eating them alive. Jean couldn't stand it any longer, and broke it.
"We've never really talked before." Was the only thing he could come up with.
Armin quickly glanced up at him, looking confused, but went along with it. "Er- Yeah, we haven't. We never really see each other, besides when I see you and Eren fighting, so."
Armin could see a small patch of redness lie along Jean's cheeks, as he averted his eyes from Armin. "Right. Sorry about that..."
Armin shrugged. "It's none of my business, it's yours and Eren problem. I can tell him what to do and what not to, but I can give him advice. Which of course, Eren is too damn stubborn to even attempt to listen to me. Which really can get annoying at times, because I actually give pretty good advice. He's always doing the opposite thing of what I tell him, and goes berserk. And - I'm sorry, I'm talking too much." Armin stopped himself, blushing madly and looking away. He always had a problem with being social, so when he did try to hold a conversation, it always came out all at the same time and would not stop.
Armin could hear Jean start to chuckle, and he thought he was going to say something rude about how awkward Armin was, but instead, it was the opposite.
"You're pretty cool, Armin."
Armin could feel his lips twitch up at an attempt of a smile, but he tried his best to not make it noticeable. "T-Thanks."
The rest of the ride was in silence between the two of them, and an hour later, they had finally arrived at the camp site. They all unloaded the bus, and gathered around in a group in front of their teacher, Mr. Shadis.
"Alright! Listen up! The people I name off, will be bunking together! I do not want any complaints, or anything of the sort. You will stay in the same cabin with those people for the rest of the trip, no if's, and's, or but's!" Mr. Shadis screamed. He didn't even need a damn microphone, since his voice was so damn loud.
He began to read off many names, and many groans off annoyance was heard. Eren acted quite afraid when he heard he was being bunked with Levi, who was pretty scary. He was a bit older than us, was in the same class as us. Armin snickered at Eren's reaction when he saw the shorter raven glare at Eren.
"Dear god, he's gonna kill me in my sleep." Eren whispered.
Armin chuckled, "Nice knowing you."
"Shut up, Armin."
Armin was about to reply, but he stopped when he heard his and Jean's name being called off, signaling that they were to bunk together. Eren just about doubled over in laughter.
"No, Armin, it was nice knowing you, good luck, blondie." Eren said, while laughing and wandering off to grab his luggage to haul off to his and Levi's cabin. Armin could see Levi ordering Eren to get his luggage as well.
Jean walked over to Armin, slightly smiling. "Hello, roomie." Armin said, awkwardly.
Jean chuckled, "Hey. Wanna go find the cabin?"
"Sure."
They both grabbed their own luggage, and wandered off to find their cabin. They found their names on a small plate on the door, and entered the cabin. The cabin was small. Two beds on each side of the room, a counter attached to front of the wall, and a cabinet for snacks, and two dressers for clothes and such. There were one ceiling light and two desk lights on each of the dressers which were besides the beds.
"Not too shabby." Jean muttered, throwing his suit case on the bed that was on the right side of the cabin.
Armin slowly walked to the only left bed left, and gently put his suitcase on the bed, and sat down beside it, glancing around the cabin, silently.
Jean had his back turned to Armin, while he was unloading his clothes and setting them on the bed.
Armin was staring at Jean from behind. Not thinking of anything in particular, just staring at Jean, unloading his suitcase. Jean glanced back at Armin, and saw him staring at him, and not noticing that he was caught. Jean smirked to himself, and slightly started to wiggle his hips, making Armin glance up and blush heavily.
Jean quietly chuckled to himself, finishing up with his clothes.
"Need any help?" Armin asked, as he suddenly showed up beside Jean. Jean looked over at him.
"If you want sure, I just need these all in the dresser." Jean replied, smiling at the blonde for his niceness.
Armin nodded, and took a few of his shirts over to dresser, neatly setting them in the drawer. Jean appeared beside him, putting some of his shirts in there as well, right side Armin. When his hand reached over to put a shirt down, his hand touched Armin's by accident. Armin's face instantly heated up, and he stared at their still touching hands.
"Er- sorry." Jean said awkwardly, removing his hand and backing away from the dresser.
They finished up with the clothes in silence quickly, and Jean also helped Armin with his luggage.
"Hey," Jean started, looking at Armin. "Want to go for a walk? I heard it's really cool looking farther down in the wood."
Armin was hesitant, but he was all about making more friends, and this was one way of starting. "Sure."
They both headed out of the cabin, and started on a trail down into the woods. Neither of them really had anything to say to each other, and did not know how to start a conversation.
But it wasn't uncomfortable at all.
"So, Armin." Jean broke the silence. Armin looked up, and looked towards Jean, waiting for him to continue. "Tell me about yourself."
"Like what?"
Jean shrugged. "Just something random, I don't care."
Armin thought for a while, thinking of something. "Um, I don't like onions?"
Jean looked down at the blonde oddly. "Really now? Why's that?"
"Because they're nasty. They have a horrid after taste."
Jean chuckled at him. "What food do you like?"
"Well, I have a small, Er- Big, obsession with hot Cheetos.." Armin muttered.
Jean smiled, and messed around with his jacket's pockets. "Here, I have a feeling you'll this then." He tossed a bag of Hot Cheetos that he had inside his pockets towards Armin, only to have Armin, with his horrible catching, barely miss the bag of chips and juggle around with them until he finally caught them.
"Oh! Thanks, Jean." Armin thanked him, blushing madly.
"Don't mention it."
Armin smiled as he stuffed the bag into his pocket. "So, where exactly are we going?"
"Right up here will be fine, and we can sit down." Jean replied, nodding his head at the area in front of them. It was a small area with a big rock, but surrounded by beautiful wild flowers, and vines hanging from the trees. The trees were covered in a green moss. Over all, it was a beautiful sight.
"I never realized the woods could be so pretty." Armin said, in complete awe.
"Maybe you should get out more." Jean joked, as he took a seat on the big, giant rock, watching as Armin walked around, smiling brightly at the new sights.
"Gee, thanks." Armin muttered, rolling his eyes as he studied a wild, blue flower.
"Oh, I'm just joking. Come sit." Jean said, smirking.
Armin sat down next to Jean, and they talked small talk, both glancing around at the pretty views.
"Thanks for taking me up here. I probably would have never even thought of walking around if you hadn't." Armin thanked his new friend.
"Sure thing. The next two days, we're going to be completely busy with fighting, so I thought today was the best day." Jean explained.
Armin nodded, and leaned back on the rock, closing his eyes as he soaked up the heat of the sun. "It's perfect timing. I've always been one to adventure out, and see new sights, so this is just great."
"I'm glad you're enjoying it." Jean said, looking at Armin. Armin had his eyes still closed, and he looked peaceful. Jean couldn't help but smile at the sight.
It was after that, but Jean still hadn't taken his eyes off of Armin. How could he? He was beautiful. You can be straight as hell, but yet still think Armin was in fact, a very attractive boy. And for that exact reason itself, Jean couldn't take his eyes off the blonde.
"Jean, you're staring." Armin said all of the sudden. Jean was too focused on the sight before him, to even realize Armin had now opened his eyes to catch him staring.
"S-Sorry, it's just, uh," He studded, feeling his face heat up. "You have really pretty hair..."
Armin didn't exactly know how to reply to such a compliment. "Oh, Thanks..?"
"Armin," Jean started, suddenly putting his hand closer to Armin's face. He didn't continue on with his sentence, but let his hands continue when Armin made no movement of rejection. His fingers found their way to brush through Armin's long, blonde locks. His bright blue eyes watched Jean in shock as he did so, madly blushing.
And then, for nearly the first time ever, Armin made a move of control. He gripped into Jean's jacket, and pulled him towards him, making their lips crash onto the other's. Jean was entirely surprised. Not just by the kiss, but of how Armin took sudden control. But he didn't hesitate in kissing him back.
Jean's hand stayed in Armin's locks, but the other caressed his cheek softly, using his thumb. He could feel Armin smiling into the kiss, which is such an amazing feeling to feel while kissing.
Oddly enough, their lips seemed to fit perfectly together, like they were meant to be attached. Armin's lip were so soft against Jean's and he couldn't help but smile as well.
After a minute or two, they both pulled back, breathing a little hard, but smiling at each other. "I never did expec-" Armin cut off Jean with another kiss.
