Back to the base..

Sees the team on screen as Fitz Coulson and Robbie disappear

May just thought it would be nice to either have an answer at that moment or not feel anything anymore because all she could feel right now was the endless pain of losing phil.

At May's (alone in the quinjet, or where that's not a plan)

"May you must hear me !"
"I'm not dead may ! Help !"

"Why are we always distant from each other anyway ? Mhmm Melinda we talk to each other like just normal agents we work with sometimes but we are more ! AND YOU KNOW MAY DAMN ! LIN CAN YOU HEAR ME ?"
"I love you..........." he whispers softly when he realizes she didn't hear him.  really not

The whole base should have heard him but really just fitz and robbie wherever they are.

"I don't allow them to be dead! Not now!
You are not dead !
After the Glasgow mission we promised ourselves that if we got a worse job we'd open the Haig bottle. It's been at least 10 now!"

"Fury would rather we die than waste his whiskey," he said, slightly wry

"What have we been waiting for?!? I mean well it was a start when we had this kind of slip up..three months ago"

He grimaced, not believing that she remembered it, nor believing that it didn't mean anything to her.  Yes they were both drunk and needed to get rid of their pain but... It was real for him.  His feelings are still real for her.  As usual, she didn't let him get to her after her so-called "one night stand".

"Oh what am I talking about, someone else could hear me... No I can't have feelings like that for Coulson, he he's my boss and yes I still love him but now I'M ALREADY TALKING TO MYSELF!"

she threw up her hands and dropped them on her face, pretending to lean against him.

she sighed.

"May I promised I wouldn't die before you but you probably think that's what that shitty guy just did. Of course it's difficult to build a relationship like that but luckily you're not...."

"Pregnant .. I'm pregnant Ohh how could I be so stupid! And tell me Philipp Coulson how am I supposed to raise the "cavalry" and ice kings a child with love without a father? In a life like that"

She sat down and cried lightly.

"Melli I .. I'm here and pretty shocked .."

He laughed embarrassed.. How much they just complemented each other in word and spirit and in a new life that was about to come into the world even though he wasn't even in the same reality/dimension with her.

So he just sat down next to her and wished so much to be able to kiss her.

"Hey! ? I'm here May, I'm sitting next to you! Come on, you can do that, can you hear me please?"

She looks up hopefully

"Yes, it's May I stand before you."

May goes to the backpack lying on the side and opened it to look at the book

"The book no, no, no, no that's not a solution may!"
"No"

"What if that's the only way you can get back?"

"And even if you would make a great mother and agent on your own Melinda. Please I'll find a way to get to you but let the damn book go!
