It wasn't long before they came to the next Ta'unui clan. Keru felt the ship stop. She began to panic. Only bad things happen when the ship stops.
The cell door opened and she didn't even check who it was. She shrunk away from whoever they were and leaned back from them. Her feet slid on the dry floor. They cuffed her hands as a precaution hours ago. She got angrier as the crude materials rubbed on her raw wrists.
She took a large step and struggled furiously as she was forced into another boat. She looked up helplessly from her knees at the panicking village.
"Ma Eywa, srung si oeru." (Eywa, help me.) she pleaded to the great mother and no one at the same time.
As soon as they landed, Deja blue and 141 took position to capture all adults. Cuffing them all and letting Quaritch take center stage.
His words were distant, but when the Tsahik tried to respond, he ordered Keru to translate. Even though spider was there, he was biased towards his own.
It was the same as before.
"That's Toruk Makto!" He shouted at the Olo'eyktan, "has he been here?!" He asked the Tsahik when he wouldn't say.
He threw the Olo'eyktan to the floor and stepped back.
"This shit ain't workin'." He groaned.
"Nah, they're stonewallin' us." Wainfleet said.
"Na'vi don't lie, Colonel. They don't know what it is to lie." Price said, letting his gun hang from his strap.
"Cut them loose. And not a single bullet fired, understood?" He commanded the teams. All gave a verbal yes sir or affirmative.
Upon returning, village unburned this time, Quaritch undermined Price's orders. Or maybe Price didn't think about what was happening. But their plans didn't reach Keru's ears until it was happening.

She was awoken that morning with a sense of urgency. The ship slowed and König had stepped into her cell.
"We must hurry, kleinen. Something is happening." He said in a panicked tone.
She was brought to the deck. In the distance, she saw something stick into a tulkun. The Anurai knew them, one pod of Tulkun was very closely tied to her clan. How could she not feel terror when she saw what was happening. She reached for the railing and braced herself.
Simon's heavy footsteps echoed behind as they faced the display of Tulkun and waves. Instinctively, Keru grabbed him by his sleeve. She was anxious as her wide eyes strained to follow.
Boats came from behind them, bouncing and revving as they chased the peaceful creatures. Al when they were close enough, they fired capsules into the water, which forced the Tulkun up. Like nantangs in a pack, they isolated what they wanted by driving away the rest of the pod.
They didn't try to defend themselves, didn't do anything but flee.
Huge inflated bags slowed her down as something from below had hit her with them. Suddenly, and explosion rang out. It was from the Tulkun or whatever hit her. She cried out in pain. It was so loud and unavoidable.
"Simon, Simon, we- we need to do something!" Keru shook his arm frantically, "they're killing her Simon!" She cried.
She struggled and cried, tugging the ship as the harpoon's prongs dig into her rib cage. She began to slow and cry out more. And then she stopped moving all together.
Tears welled up in Keru's eyes.
When the body was pulled up, she and Simon went to see her. It seemed like they were harvesting her. But only for a liquid.
Her mouth was forced open.
"They're not going to use the rest of her?" She asked rhetorically. She felt hot searing anger in her bones. Molten tears spilled over her eyelids.
"It's wrong!" She grit her teeth and she shook with anger. She grabbed Simon's knife from its holster and walked into the corpse, nearly slipping. Her blood almost made Keru slip.
She went to the back and drew out and harvested the mother's multi faceted queue.
She took it in hand and threw it angrily at the human wearing his smile with pride.
"You kill the mother. You wear her tswin, wasteful bastard." She hissed at him in a tone that was clearly angry, not outright aggressive.
She dropped Simon's knife and returned to the body.
She murmured prayer after prayer until her tongue was tired and twisted and her throat sore. Until they dropped the body, revealing a baby.
She ran into the water on instinct, trying to comfort or hold the child. It was so little, so young. He already understood his mother was dead and was mourning.
She didn't know who pulled her away, but as soon as she'd been dragged away, someone shot the baby.
She didn't hear her own scream. But everyone on base did.
"No! Nononono! Great mother!" She clawed at the metal beneath her, trying to get closer, trying to save him.
"HE'S JUST A BABY!" She screamed as she was restrained. Someone put their knee on her throat, forcing her mouth closed and her airway shut.
She couldn't say that she couldn't breath.
She passed out.

The next time she woke up, she was in her cell. A human in a coat was looking her over with different tools in hand. She noticed she was unrestrained and she took a deep breath and threw the alien off her.
She went for the door, unlocked. She scrambled to get out, and she was so close.
A hand came up to her mouth as she was forced into a metal wall.
"Shh! It's me! Gaz!" Gaz whispered, "you're okay. We're gonna get out. We have a plan. Be quiet, move quick."
It was only hours after the Tulkun had died.
The team was already in the water waiting.
She slipped into the water with Simon.
"Ilu are easily frightened. If you can't get a ride, we'll give you ours." Simon said before he dove. Gaz and Price easily followed behind him. Keru silently swam as she found something unexpected. It was a Tsurakx, Skimwing, offering herself to her.
They bonded and soon, they were in their way. The reef na'vi weren't far and Keru was sure they'd take them all prisoner. She was hoping they would.
