Wasn't thinking

It felt like the whole world jerked up and she  recognized the feeling of flying. But there was no joy in it this time. It was whirring and mechanical, unfamiliar. She ached to leave. Her body was sore from the uncomfortable mattress she'd been sitting on. A woman, she walked up, cloth in her hands.

"Here, it's clothes. 'Boys been talking' about you." Her voice was clear and sharp.

Keru accepted the clothes, but she didn't really understand.

"I know a look when a guys got it bad for you, that Riley has it bad bad. I just thought I'd you wore some real clothes, you might not get so many looks." She said, popping her gum and turning on her heel.

She had seen Simon dress before, but there was a piece that was confusing. A weird hooked clasp. Like a top but it was incredibly uncomfortable looking. She discarded it completely with a sour look.

"Love, what are you doing?" Simon asked, closing the door behind him before squatting in-front of her.

A woman came up to me. Gave me these. She told me boys have been talking. That you had something really bad for me. Are you gonna hurt me, Simon? She signed, her face formed into a pout.

Simon sighed and shut his eyes, a swell of frustration burst to the surface.

"I'm not gonna hurt you, Keru. She knows I have physical feelings for you. She gave you clothes so that the others wouldn't stare at your body." He stated. He exuded annoyance.

Keru looked at the clothes and then looked at Simon.

"Help me?" She held up the clothes and he took the shirt off the top and unfolded it, holding it open and putting her head through the hole. Keru wiggled in it, managing to get her arms through the holes.

"You're gonna hate this." Simon mumbled as he got to his knees at her feet.

"So far, I don't." She took his masked face in her hands and kissed the bone over his forehead.

He relaxed a little and grabbed one of her legs, slipping it through one leg hole. He captured her tail and helped her slip it through. He pulled up his mask a little and he kissed the inside of her thigh before pulling the pants completely up. All she wanted to do now is take off all her clothes and have him here.

"Simon..." she whined.

"You're so needy, love." Simon chuckled, knowing full well how he made her squirm.

The ship came to a stop and landed in the water.

Simon looked out the doorway. It was night now.

"It's night. They must be getting to sleep." Simon murmured to her. She gripped his arm and she began to move through the hallways, trying to navigate.

He tapped her shoulder and started signing.

Where are we going?

She frowned in a desperate way.

Away. We need to leave, I will take any chance I get. She was getting anxious.

So we escape, then what? We are in the middle of the sea. Simon signed back, frustration showing in his motions.

We take the Ilu. We swim. She signed and tugged him along to the deck, she made a run for it. Shocking sound game from above Simon, the deck above. Gunfire. Simon went into action.

"HOLD YOUR FIRE!" His voice rang out, surprising himself. He ran out and checked Keru who had fallen. He held her in his lap, twisting her body to face him. Footsteps came from behind him, heavy footsteps. Mactavish.

"What th' hell happened here?" Soap asked.

Simon disregarded him as he found a wound. Flesh wound, but it ruptured a large vein between her hips and organs. Not quite an artery, but she was bleeding profusely and wincing, crying from the pain.

Simon went for Soap's medical supplies on his vest.

"She ran when she thought everyone was asleep. Not me." He said while pressing the gauze to the raw wound. She squeezed her eyes shut and hissed.

Come with us, I'm not staying here. She offered Soap while signing. Soap's eyes flicked to Simon who exchanged the glance.

Now's our chance. She signed desperately.

They'd catch us. I'll scout out the ship. We'll need a better plan. Soap signed back, following what he thought Ghost would do.

Simon's eyes went back to the wound as Quaritch walked up.

"What's this about, Riley?" Quaritch asked with a scowl, Spider with him.

Simon clamped his hand down on the wound, causing her to wince.

"This was my fault, Colonel. I thought I could trust the bitch. I didn't know I'd have to leash you!" Ghost said hoisting her onto her feet, grabbing her, roughly by her queue.

Keru grimaced with pain and sobbed with the pain.

"Take her to a cell, we're making a trip back and we'll get her looked at." The colonel groaned and waved ghost off.

"Yes, sir." Ghost said before beginning to march her off into the hallways, Soap behind them. They came on a small room, a cell. It had padded walls and no windows, just the door.

Simon walked her in and sat her down, resting his hand on her leg while he kept pressure. He pulled his mask off while Soap kept watch on the door.

"I hated doing that to you, I didn't mean any of it. Forgive me." He said above a whisper, his voice wavering.

"I know you had to. I wasn't thinking. I just wanted to leave." She flinched from the wound. The bleeding had stopped, but she needed actual medicine. Like that paste from their clan.

"I want to go home too." He whispered, he pressed a kiss to her forehead and just prayed her wound wouldn't get infected.

"You gonna stay here forever, LT?" Soap asked.

"You have anymore bandages?" Simon asked fixing his mask to his face.

Soap tossed his spares at Simon.

"Thanks Mactavish." Simon said with annoyance.

He wrapped her wound tight around her waist.

"I'll be back for you. It's always going to be me or Soap who'll be watching you. You're okay." He said with pleading eyes, begging her to stay okay.

Okay. She signed with a sad frown.

He tore himself away, his heart broke more and more when he left the room.

"LT- I-" Soap tried to catch his shoulder, Simon shrugged him off and he let out a deep breath. His frame shook like he'd cry. But he was angry. When Soap looked at him, he saw a ruined man who was blaming himself. He was pissed.
