16 days, 2 hours, 24 minutes, and 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 seconds since my babygirl's talked to me. I tried talking to her for a week but she'd either ignore me or walk away so I'm giving it a rest.

"Bro stop staring" Keeis nudged me

"You look like a creep" Mario added

"Would y'all niggas shut up?" I continued eyeing Heaven and the nigga from across the cafeteria

You can tell by her facial expression that he was getting on her nerves.

"Why the fuck he all in her face?" I grumbled, seeing Heaven force a smile

"Just go over there and talk to her." Mario said

"She ain't tryna' hear nothing I gotta' say" I shrugged

"Make her lil ass hear you then" he said

"Then grab her, kiss her, and hold her tight!" Keeis laughed

"Y'all niggas real funny" I kept a straight face

"Seriously bro, go talk to her. I'm tired of seeing you scoot around like a sad puppy" Keeis said

"And I don't clean up dog shit" Mario shook his head with a serious face

"Shut the fuck up" me and Keeis said in unison "Aight I'ma go talk to her" I nodded, getting up and going over there

I'm not even gone lie, I'm nervous as fuck. I've tried talking to her and it didn't work. I don't want her to reject my ass.

Turn back around

I quickly started to do what my mind told me, but soon as I turned around, Keeis and Mario were standing there.

"Don't be a bitch" Mario said

"I was just looking back to make sure I ain't lose nothing" I smacked my teeth, lying hard as hell

"Your balls ain't back her now get yo' inside out banana ass over there" he smacked his teeth

"Fuck you" I squinted, turning back around and making my way over there

I sat down at the table interrupting their conversation. Which was more of his conversation because Heav wasn't paying him any mind.

"I need to talk to you" I said

He mugged me and she just stared at me.

"In private, you can excuse yourself" I said to Elijah

"I'm not going anywhere. Me and her were talking and-"

"I'll see you in class, Elijah" Heaven spoke up

"So you really gonna give him your time? He cheated on you, which clearly shows that he doesn't give a damn about you." he said back to her

"You don't know shit. Get ya bitch ass on" I said through gritted teeth

"Heaven, don't waste your time. Let's just go to class" he ignored me

"Bruh is you fucking deaf or dumb?! She said go so get the fuck on!" I stood up

"And what the fuck you gonna' do if I don't?!" he stood up as well

"Stop it." Heaven got up too

The entire cafeteria's attention was on us now. I looked over at Heaven and she looked embarrassed. She shook her head before quickly walking out of the cafeteria. I punched Elijah in the face, making him fall, taking his tray with him, and jogged off to find Heav. She couldn't have gone far by now. When I walked pass the bathroom, I heard crying on the inside. I started arguing with myself in my head.

I'm not going in there...

Yes but that's the girls bathroom my nigga

So fucking what? It's now or never.

"Now or never" I repeated out loud before going in the bathroom

I walked pass all the stalls until I got to the last one, which was locked.

"Baby" I tapped on the door

"Chris?" she sniffled

"Yeah" I responded

I heard her sniffle some more before the stall door opened.

"You can't be in here" she walked pass me, to the sink

"Fuck the rules and all that shit. I came in here to check on my baby" I said

"I'm not your baby anymore, Christopher" she washed her hands before splashing some water on her face

"You gone always be my baby." I said

"Just get out of here before you get in trouble" she shook her head, drying her face and hands off

"Not until you talk to me." I said "Or at least listen to what I gotta' say"

"I'm talking to you right now, and I've already heard everything you had to say" she was about to walk out

"No you haven't" I put my hand on the door, closing it

I turned her around so her back was pressing the now locked door. I towered over her short frame, with my hands on both sides of her. She looked to her left to avoid eye contact with me.

"Get away from me" her voice shook

"No. You won't let me explain any other way so shut up and listen" I turned her face towards mine

She frowned at me hard, but she still managed to look so damn sweet.

"I was with Keyona, now I'm not. It was before me and you so I didn't cheat. I can understand that the timing was off and I was wrong for not even telling you about it. I'm not in love with that girl, she ain't shit to me and I can promise you that. I love yo ass, I'm not going nowhere and neither are you. Can't you see that you the only one that's always on my mind? If I didn't care then I would've gave up on us a long time ago. I want you and only you" I looked in her eyes the entire time, meaning each and every word

Tears were threatening to fall from her eyes but she wouldn't let them drop.

"I'm not even that mad about you fucking her anymore. I'm mad at the fact that you lied to me. You said you'd never hurt me and you did." tears started flying as she spoke

"Heaven, we in a relationship. There's gonna be problems" I said honestly

"Yeah but lying shouldn't be one of them" she shook her head

"I didn't know you were going to find out about me and her. It was in the past so that's where I left it" I shrugged "Now can you please forgive me?"

"I forgive you, I forgave you about 3 days ago" she said

"It would've been nice to let me know that" I chuckled

I bent down to give her a kiss, but she pulled back.

"But we can't be together."

"Why the fuck not?" anger laced my voice

"I just need a break." she said softly

"Hey! Open up!" a girl came and knocked on the door

"You had a fuckin' 16 day break. How much longer do you need?" I ignored the girl

"I just need some space, Christopher. We can be friends but-"

"Is it a boy in there?" the girl knocked harder "I'm going to get security!"

"Friends? We passed that stage already. I'm not tryna' just be friends"

"She's going to get the security guards, you should go" she said

"Fuck that." I simply said "One bad thing happens and you just give up like that?"

"That's the problem! I'm tired of going through bad things! I've had to many and I'm sick of it!" she cried harder

I sighed, not knowing what to say. I wrapped my arms around her, hugging her tightly.

"Move away from the door" the security said

"Right now" I heard the principals voice

"You're gonna get suspended" she whispered to me, pulling away

"It's ok. Watch out" I said to her

She moved and they opened the door.

"You two come with me" he said

"She wasn't doing anything. I followed her in here" I defended her

"He was just making sure I was alright " she defended me

"It doesn't matter, both of y'all getting suspended" the principal said

"Come on, Principal K. We wasn't doing nothing but talking" I smacked my teeth

"In the girls bathroom and your not a girl" he finished

I looked over at Heaven as she fiddled with her hands.

I'm not giving up.
