"Heaven please just open the door so we can talk" I knocked again

After school, I went straight to her house.

"I can hear you just fine from out there" she responded

"Babygirl, you don't even know everything that happened" I sighed

"You fucked her and that's all I need to know. Ain't no explanation to cheating." she sounded like she was crying

"I didn't cheat on you." I looked under the mat for a spare key but couldn't find one

"Oh you didn't? Then who was that I saw having sex with Keyona?" she smacked her lips

"It was me but-"

"Then you cheated! What more is there?!" she yelled

I found a spare key under a flower pot and quickly unlocked the front door.

"Get out" she stared at me as I came in

"No. We're going to talk about this. You not just gonna leave me without knowing the full story" I said

"I suggest you save your breath because I don't wanna hear it" she mugged me with tears flowing down her face

"Heaven I didn't cheat on you. Me and you weren't together when I had sex with her" I finally said

"I saw the date at the bottom of the video Christopher! We weren't exactly together but I was starting to develop feelings for you around that time" she explained

"And I was developing feelings for you too...I still am developing feelings for you, Heav. I love you" I tried to hug her

"Then why would you go and have sex with her?!" she backed away from me

"I was drunk that night, it was a stupid mistake and I'm sorry"

"I bet you are" she shook her head "You need to leave" hurt showed all in her face

"You making a big deal out of nothing" I smacked my teeth

"So fucking someone else while me and you were on the verge of getting together isn't a big deal?" she titled her head

"Listen to what you said. We were on the verge of getting together! I was free to fuck whoever I wanted" slipped out of my mouth

"And you're free to fuck whoever you want from this day forth...we're done" she shook her head

"Babygirl come here" I finally embraced her in a tight hug

"You hurt me Chris" she broke down crying "You said you wouldn't...and you did" she softly pounded on my chest

"I'm sorry, I won't ever do it again. I promise I won't." he rubbed my hand over her back

"Can you just go?...Please?" She pulled away

"...I'ma respect your wishes. But I'm not giving up on us and I hope you don't either" I pecked her forehead "I love you, babygirl" I said before leaving

Soon as the door closed, I fell on the floor, crying my heart out.

It was before y'all became official...

My mind was flooded with so many second thoughts.

"What am I supposed to do?" I asked myself out loud

Two knocks sounded on the door, making my crying come to a stop.

"Chris go away" I said loudly

"Uhm it's Elijah"

"Elijah?" I wiped my eyes, standing up, and looking out the window and seeing his car

"I came to check on you" he said as I unlocked the door and opened it

"How'd you know my address?" I gave a questioning look

"Keyona gave it to me a while back" he shrugged

"Why?"

"I was going to surprise you by popping up here on Valentine's Day but you and Chris were already together" he looked at the ground

"Oh ok. So what made you stop by?" I rested against the door

"Just wanted to make sure you were ok, I didn't see you at school today and-"

"I'm fine. Thanks" I cut him off 

"Can I come in?" he asked

"I'm busy." I lied

"Oh...well I'll see you tomorrow right?" he asked

"Yeah. See ya" I smiled before closing the door

I appreciate Elijah trying to be nice and all, but I'm not trying to be all buddied up with anyone right now.

I sighed before getting some Oreos and heading upstairs.

I just wanna be happy

I know it's boring. 😩
