"I wonder why he hasn't called" I said to Chris as we got in his car

"He'll call." he said

"But what if he doesn't? What if he never calls? What if he got caught or something? Chris, what did he even do to my parents?" I shot question after question

Yes they hurt me. But I still wanna know what happened to them. Are they dead or alive?

"Baby, calm down" he sighed

"How am I supposed to calm down when I don't know the answer to any of those questions?" I questioned again

He leaned over, bringing my face closer to his, and pecking my lips multiple times before going into a full kiss. The feeling of his soft lips on mine will never get old. He did something he's never done before, he slid his tongue across my bottom lip before sliding it completely in my mouth. I was shocked at his actions, but I copied them. We explored each other's mouths slowly, enjoying every moment of it.

"Better?" he asked, pulling away

"Much better" I smiled brightly

"Now we gonna go school, have a good day, then after we can do whatever you wanna do" he started the car up

"Ok" I said before buckling up

I was walking to my seat until I felt someone push me from behind. I turned around quickly, not surprised by who greeted me.

"You got a problem?" I asked Chantelle

"Nope. You was in my way. Just like you in my way with Chris" she shrugged

"I'm in yo way huh?" I chuckled

She's really testing my patience

"That's what I said" she smacked her teeth

I turned around acting like I was going to walk away, but then turned to her again and connected my fist with her nose.

I'm not the type of person to fight, but if you put your hands on me in any way I don't like, then I'm returning the action.

"Bitch!" she charged towards me

Instead of her hitting me, I punched her again, making her fall. I got on top of her and started sending blow after blow to her face. She reached up, trying to claw my face and pull my hair. She never succeeded, the only thing she caught was my shirt.

"Stop it!" Mr. Whitley came and pulled me off her

"She asked for it! Let me go!" I tried to move his arms off me

"Security, take her to the office. Chantelle, I'll take you to the nurse then the office" he said

I grabbed my bag and followed security out of the office. My first day back from winter break and I'm about to get in trouble, for the first time too.

I adjusted my bag on my back as I headed to 3rd block. The only thing I got was in school suspension for the rest of 1st block and all of 2nd block. Mr. Whitley told the principal that he witnessed Chantelle out her hands on me first. I also got off because that was my first time getting in the principals office.

"You punching people and stuff" Chris said as I sat beside him

"How do you know about that?" I asked

"Everybody know about it. You throw some mean punches, bae" he chuckled

He pulled out his phone, showing me a video someone sent to him. My jaw dropped as I watched myself hit Chantelle.

"I didn't know I hit her that hard" I chuckled

"Knocked her out her damn sandals" he laughed out

His laughter became contagious

"Mr. Brown and Ms. Barnes, would you like to tell the class what's funny?" the teacher glared at us

"Sorry" we said in unison

"Give me some" Chris broke a piece of my cookie off

"Could've said please" I smacked my teeth

"Please" he said chewing and smirking

"Big head" I pushed him but he caught my hand and pulled me into him

He kissed me and I tasted the chocolate from the cookie on his tongue.

"Mm" I licked my lips after we pulled away

"Y'all always kissing on each other" Mario scoffed

"Don't hate, bro" Chris said

"Ain't nobody hating. We just wanna eat our food without seeing y'all suck each other's face off" Keeis smacked his teeth

"Sorry. We'll refrain from it" I chuckled at them

"No we won't" Chris pecked my lips a few times

I couldn't help but kiss back, his lips are addicting.

"Keep on. Kissing can get you pregnant" Keeis said

"Then you should have every girl in the damn school pregnant, nigga" Chris and Mario said at the same time

I laughed and shook my head as my phone rang. Uncle Steve ❤️ popped across the screen.

"I'll be back" I got up, walking to a quiet spot before answering

"Hello?"

"Hey, sugafoot. How you been?" hearing his voice made me sigh in relief

"Im fine. Everything ok? What went down? Where are you?" I asked

"Everything is cool. I'm at our new house, I'll send you the address and I want you to come here after school" he said

"Our new house?" I smiled

"Yup. See ya later, sugafoot" he said

"Wait!" I said quickly

"Yeah?"

"Thank you and I love you" I said

"It ain't no thang' and I love you too. See you when you get here" he chuckled before hanging up

"You ok?" Chris asked

"Yeah" I nodded, smiling

"Who was that on the phone?"

"My uncle" I couldn't contain my smiling

"He good?"

"Yeah. He told me to meet him at our new house after school" I nodded

"Baby, that's good news" he hugged me

"Hey y'all" Keyona walked up to us

"What you want?" I asked

"Babe, I'ma go back to the table" Chris said before walking off

"I wanna apologize" she sighed

"For what?" I folded my arms

"For being so...rude and not supporting y'all relationship. I want us to be friends again. Please forgive me"

"Mm."

"Do you forgive me?" she asked

"...I forgive you" I shrugged

"Really? Thank you, best friend" she was about to hug me

"Ah...we gotta work our way there" I shook my head

"I understand" she sighed "Thanks for hearing me out" she nodded

The bell rang.

"Mhm" I said before walking to meet up with Chris

"What was that about?" he asked

"She wanted to apologize for her attitude" I shrugged

"Oh...ok" he said
