Kate spent the entire time that Indigo was in class setting up her apartment with rose petals as well as cooking a traditional Indonesian meal from a recipe that was Indigo's dad's. She made sure that everything was perfectly measured and that she followed the home written recipe at every single step.

She did not want to fuck up making a meal for their first date that she knows Indigo holds so close to her heart.

The blonde had set up her table to have a few candles and having the table set nicely with wine glasses and an empty vase for where she would put the flowers she got for Indi, which were her favorite, pink carnations.

As Kate was doing the final details of the dish she heard her front door open, "Kate, you here?" she heard Indigo ask from the front door.

The blonde immediately had a smile on her face as she walked over to the girl who has had her heart for years, holding those pink carnations that she had heard Indigo talk about since forever.

"Kate!" Indigo dropped her bag to the floor as her hands covered her face, "You should've told, so I could've got you something," her lips formed into a downturned smile as she took the flowers from the girl in front of her.

"I wanted to surprise you," Kate's lips had a big smile on her face as she looked at the girl in front of her, her hands finding their way to Indi's hips.

"Well I'm very surprised," the brunette smiled placing a sweet kiss on Kate's cheek. Indigo then let herself smell the aroma of the kitchen, "Is that—Kate!" her jaw automatically dropped smelling the familiar meal that her father used to make all the time.

"I hope I made it right," Kate says as the two walk into the kitchen. Indigo goes to pick up and bowl and Kate immediately takes it out of her hands, "Nope!" she laughs before taking her empty hand, walking her over to the table and then pulling out a chair for her to sit down. Kate then took the bowl in front of Indigo, as well as her own, and brought it over to stove putting the soup, noodles, and chicken in it, then bringing to back to the candle lit table.

Kate sat down across from Indigo as she waited for her to taste to taste the food, "I'm really nervous," Kate confessed as her right leg shook up and down, her hands folding together in her lap. "I'm really
hoping I didn't fuck it up."

Indigo placed her left hand on the table, laying it down to hold Kate's hand. The blonde quickly placed her hand in Indigo's, almost immediately calming her nerves for how well she made the food. Indigo took the first bite of her food and she quickly had to pick her jaw off the floor for how good it tasted.

"Is it bad?" Kate asked, her lips forming into a small
frown.

"No! No! It actually perfect," Indigo smiled, taking all of Kate's nerves away. Kate let out a big breath she didn't even realize she was holding. "Were you holding your breath?"

"Maybe," the blonde giggled, squeezing Indi's hand before letting it go and going to eat her own food.

The two spent the entire dinner portion of their little date talking about everything that came to their mind, and even after knowing each other since they were little they seemed to never run out of topics.

After they finished eating both of them cleaned up the dishes, even though Kate had tried stopping Indigo many times from helping her, but she insisted on helping. But it took them a lot longer to do than it should've as Indigo kept finding her way to somehow tickle Kate, making the blonde beg for the brunette to stop several times.

"Indi!" Kate backed her hips away from the sink, while her hands still held a dish in her hands.

"Ok, ok, I'll stop," she smiled before leaning over and kissing Kate's temple before placing the soapy bowls into the dishwasher. As soon as all the dishes were washed then put in the dishwasher Kate's arms wrapped around Indi's waist as she placed her head on the girls shoulder.

"Do you wanna watch Footloose?" Kate asked,
already knowing the answer to her question.

Indigo turned around into Kate's chest, the blondes hands still wrapped around her, "Obviously," she smiled looking up at her. "You are so beautiful, Kate,"  Indigo's hands found their way to Kate's face, her eyes following every little freckle that peppered her face and the way a shade of pink rushed to her face.

"Stop," Kate buried her head into Indi's neck, trying to hide her blushing face. Kate pressed a kiss to Indigo's collar bone, pulling her body closer by her waist, "Let's go watch the movie." Kate pushed at her waist as the two went into the living room snuggling together on the couch as Indigo turned her favorite movie on.

Kate's arm rested under Indigo's neck as her head rested on Indi's chest. Indi's hand ran through Kate's blonde hair as she felt herself dozing off as the movie came to an end.

"Indi," Kate whispered trying to make her not fall asleep.

"Hm?" her eyes kept blinking as she tried to open them.

"You would kill me if I didn't wake you up to do your skin care before going to sleep," Kate kept her voice low, to try and not startle her at all.

"I don't wanna," her lips turned into a frown as she tried getting even closer to Kate.

"Come on," Kate pulled herself out of her grip before grabbing Indi's hands and pulling her up, causing an annoyed groan to leave her mouth. The blonde then helped her off the couch as they both headed into the bathroom. Kate found herself on the toilet seat lid as she admired the way Indi was so gentle removing her makeup, the same way she was so gentle with everything she encountered. Kate just couldn't believe she could now openly look at her as if she was the only star in the universe. As well as the fact that she could go up to her, hug her and kiss her at any moment in time.

"I'm sleepy," Indigo yawed as she finished her skin care and turned to Kate.

"Me too," she smiled softly, standing up and walking over to Indigo. "I hope you liked the date."

"It was the definition of perfect. Like if you looked perfect up in Urban Dictionary your face and this date would be there," Indi giggled as she walked out of the bathroom, turning the light off as she did.

"Damn that's an honor," Kate smiled, plopping down into her bed as she pulled the brunette down with her.

"I like you so much," Indigo smiled, her eyes barely open with her fingers drawing shapes on Kate's arms.

"I like you more."

"Nuh-uh. I like you the most," she whispered into the blondes shirt.

"I'll let you win this time," Kate's hand came up to brush through Indigo's hair before the two ultimately fell asleep, holding onto each other as if one was going to disappear.
