It had been a few weeks since Indigo and Kate's first date and Kate was already ready to get down on one knee and propose. Granted she still hadn't even asked her to be her girlfriend yet.

But they both acted like it as Indigo had spent almost everyday at Kate's apartment and when they didn't have practice they were always together.

"Kate what time do you get back from practice?" Indi asked as she sat at the island table watching Kate fill up her water bottle.

"Umm I think six, why?" she turned around screwing the top of the bottle on.

"Me and Ysa are going to go see a movie, so I was just seeing if I'd be back when you're done," she smiled, her arms crossed against the cool granite.

"Ooo what movie?" she asked, and Indigo started racking her brain to come up with something because she wasn't actually going to the movies.

"Umm," she tapped her fingers against the island, "The movie with the bear that like eats a lot of cocaine," she nodded remembering she had seen an ad for that movie recently.

Kate let out a small laugh as she walked over to the side of Indigo, "Don't spoil it when you get back I wanna see it," she smiled before placing a sweet kiss against Indi's lips.

"I won't," she smiled looking up at Kate, "See you."

Kate kissed Indi once again before heading out of the apartment and leaving Indigo to herself.

After five minutes passed Indigo pulled her phone out and called Ysa telling her it was time to come over. Indigo had been planning to ask Kate to be her girlfriend ever since the first date and she was praying Kate wouldn't beat her to it, as she got been the one to plan their first date.

"Open the door!" Ysa yelled through the wood, "I'm carrying like 500 balloons and look fucking insane," she used her elbow to hit the door and Indi immediately came running to the door to open it.

Once Ysa entered the apartment she saw how it was decked out in yellow decorations and how several small presents were sat on the kitchen island along with a bouquet of sunflowers and baby breath.

"I can't believe my parents are finally together," Ysa wiped a fake tear from her eye as she handed the balloons over to Indi.

"If she says yes," the brunette took the balloons from the blonde as she started walked over to the living room to see them up.

"Don't start," Ysa shook her head as she followed her. "She's gonna say yes."

"But what if this is all just casual to her?" Indi could feel her nerves building up in her system the more she thought about it. After everything that happened with Starr her trust issues had sky rocketed and she started second guessing everything about herself.

"This is Kate Martin we're talking about," Ysa laughed as her hands came to Indi's shoulders trying to calm her down, "She's been in love with you since you were like 12."

"You're dramatic," Indi shook her head as she moved the letter balloons to spell out 'Will You Be My Girlfriend?' and then a few heart shaped ones on the sides.

"I'm not though. She literally told me that herself," Ysa let out a small laugh as she played with the flowers so they went together perfectly.

"Sure she did," Indi shook her head as she stepped back to look at what she had set up.

"Indigo Lain Aro, I'm gonna smack you," Ysa crossed her arms as she looked over at her best friend. The blonde could tell that the nerves and second guessing were really getting to Indi, "If she says no, it's her loss. And it's not even an 'if' because she's gonna say yes."

"Ok, ok," Indi let out a shaky breath as she turned to face Ysa.

"She's not Starr," Ysa wrapped Indigo in her arms as Indigo practically winced at the sound of the girl's name.

"I know," Indigo squeezed her arms around Ysa before letting go. Ysa looked down at her phone to check the time and saw that it was already 5:45.

"I should probably go, but tell me what happens!" she smiled, "Unless y'all do the nasty I don't wanna hear that," she shook her head dramatically and made a fake gagging sound.

"Get out," Indigo laughed and pushed the blonde out the front door, but not without giving her one last hug, "Thank you."

"Always," she let go of the hug, "But seriously. Keep in your pants."

"Get the fuck out," the brunette started laughing as she shoved her into the hallway.

"You're wearing my dress and I don't want it corrupted," she pouted.

"Yeah I think Caitlins already done that," Indi smiled before closing the door and walking back into the apartment.

"Indi? You here?" Kate asked into the dark apartment that seemed empty, but when she turned the lights on she saw Indigo standing there in a silk mini dress as her hands pointed to the balloons.

"Soooo," she let out a small giggle as she watched Kate's face light up and her hands go to her face, "Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Indi, baby, yes," her beautiful smile took over her face as she walked over to Indigo and wrapped her arms around her waist.

"I like that," the brunette giggled as she heard the new nickname Kate called her.

"What? Baby?" Kate bit her lip as she looked down at the girl who nodded her head enthusiastically. Kate pressed Indigo's front to her own as her lips found the brunettes. She could feel Kate backing her into the couch and quickly pulled away.

"I got you some things," Indigo smiled, moving out of Kate's grip and picking up the presents from the table as well as the flowers. When she walked back she saw Kate sitting on the couch with her legs spread and her hands clasped together in her lap.

Indigo had to use all of her will power to literally not fall to her knees at the sight. "Ok here you go," she quickly said as she sat down beside the blonde and crossed her legs.

"You didn't have to you," Kate smiled as she carefully unwrapping the paper and when she did she was met with a black case that when she opened it, it held the number twenty on a delicate chain. "Can you put it on me?" she asked as she handed the necklace over to Indigo.

The brunette took the chain in her hand and carefully moved Kate's hair off her back. She then placed the necklace against Kate's neck and clasped the back of it, leaving a small kiss against the back her neck where it came together.

"I love it," Kate smiled, her eyes glued to the jewelry around her neck.

"Oh and this!" Indi beamed as she handed the flowers over to Kate. Kate had always reminded Indigo of sunflowers because of how much they resembled the sun. And to Indigo, Kate is the sun. The center of her universe.

"I'm gonna marry you some day," Kate promised as she took Indigos hand in her own and kissed the brunettes ring finger.

"I'm gonna hold you to that."
