Chapter 13 - END
Warnings: Gore
~Lachlan's P.O.V.~
"Level 10: Legend of Zelda ocarina of time... Beat Ganondorf in the form of Ganon..." I read out slowly, trying to grasp the words.
For those who have played the Legend of Zelda series (ocarina of time) know that final boss fights are tough. But beating Ganondorf... Let's just say it's taken me my fair share of restarts to beat him. Now as we all know that wouldn't be such a big problem but here... We have one shot.
The room transforms into a hexagonal shaped platform. Trees surround us dead and decaying... Practically grey. The sky above is littered with ominous dark clouds, blocking out and sort of light. The air smells musky and small dust particles are swirling around in the wind. And last but not least, there in front of us, the remains of a castle. The broken cement and crushed metal protruding from the ground in one big heap. Clearly the castle had collapsed and by the looks of it I'm guessing it belonged to the one and only Ganondorf. (This guy)
I am dressed in Links green tunic and hat, a sword clenched in my hand. More commonly known as the master sword. Vikk is beside me, dressed in a flowing pink and white dress that reaches the ground. It had small gold highlights and it's covered in dust and dirt. And of course on top of his head is some lines of clear jewels, a ruby sitting in the middle that's draping over his head. Aka the outfit of princess Zelda. I snicker.
"How does it feel being the princess now Vi-"
Thump.
The wind picks up and starts to howl. We jump, turning to face the sounds source. The castle ruins. Vikk being the vulnerable one at this time takes a few steps backwards.
"Stay there Vikk." I command him in a serious tone as I draw my sword.
I cautiously move towards the pile of rubble. Then all at once a hexagon of fire is jutting from the ground and trapping me in the large area. Vikk on the other hand is forced to step back and out of it to avoid being burnt to a crisp.
Thump. Thump.
Rocks fall to the side as Ganondorf bursts from the pile, pure rage across his face. He's breathing very heavily and his eyes are glowing brightly as he floats in the air. His cape is swishing behind him and his eyes fix on me, reflecting hatred. He clenches a fist, turning its back towards me to show off the triforce of power glowing. (If you don't know what that is look it up lol)
"RAHHHH-REAHHHH!"
His body is then encased in a blue light, shining as bright as his eyes. I step back, sword out in front of me. It's time.
His body morphs into a giant pig like creature with huge yellowing horns and flashing green eyes. He front flips to the ground, slowly un curling and standing up. He wields an iron sword in each hand, both larger than my body itself. (Idk how to explain further what he looks like so here's a pic.)
He grunts, muscles rippling as he eyes me down. Battle music begins to play and text appears in front of me, showing this creatures name. Ganon.
And just like that swords are coming at me. Once... I duck and stumble back. Twice... I block, vibrations raking my body with great force. Thrice... My sword is sailing through the air and plunging on the opposite side of the fire, right next to Vikk who in turn gasps. I whip back around to face Ganon. Then a small blue fairy floats out from under my hat, a fairy by the name of Navi that accompanies you throughout your journey.
"There's no way he's going to hold me back this time! We'll fight together!" She squeaks.
As a result Ganon bellows, a horrible ear splitting sound. I dash away from him, reaching into my inventory and pulling out a goron sword. It's extremely long, matching Ganons swords in length, but it's thin and awkward to swing. Even though it has its disadvantages, it still saves your butt in the final fight for it is your only sword left.
Ganon trots towards me, ground shaking under his weight and towers over me. He brings down a sword but I roll forward and under his legs to come behind him and hit his one weak spot. His tail. I back up as he shrieks and lumbers back towards me. Yet again he slashes at me with both swords this time. I side step the first one but the second one slices cleanly into my side, instantly drawing blood. I wince and charge through the searing pain, brining my sword upon his tail again. And while he's off guard I try to slash his leg but by sword simply bounces off.
"Only the master sword can deystroy him!" Vikk reminds me from behind the barrier and I nod.
With an injured side it's harder to dodge but I manage to avoid most of his attacks repeating the tail hitting procedure eight more times. I even have enough strength to pull out my bow and impale him with a light arrow to slow his movement further. I'm now sliced up in numerous places and I only have nine hearts left (out of twenty) with blood freely staining my clothing and the ground but Ganon finally groans and drops to his knees supporting himself with a single sword as he tries to recover. The fire ring wavers momentarily in Ganons weakened state. Nows my chance.
"Lachlan! The master sword is here! Quickly!" Vikk calls out as he heaves the sword from the ground.
I sprint towards Vikk and retrieve the sword just as the fire barrier returns, separating us once more. But this time, I'm ready. Ganon has picked himself off the ground and is now grunting furiously and stomping towards me. Lighting illuminates the sky as I run around him with my newly acquired master sword and hit his tail. And now spinning backwards I slash into his leg, tearing the green flesh and making a small scratch. Ganon growls, whipping his tail and knocking me to the ground, leaving me breathless. But again with my injuries I find myself unable to stand.
But before Ganon can slice me in half I pull out a small jar containing a little red fairy. I quickly pop it open and the fairy circles around me, completely healing my wounds and restoring all twenty hearts. I roll out of the way as an iron sword lands directly where my head was placed. The tail slashing ordeal repeats nine more times, and I take significantly less damage now that I'm used to Ganons attacks.
With a roar and a squeal Ganon falls face first in front of me, his snout not two meters away. His breath is rancid and face needless to say hideous. He's making horrible groaning noises of agony, twitching on the ground. Suddenly a ray of white light is hitting him and the source is from Vikk. His dress is fluttering and the beam is shooting from his hands.
"I'm using Zeldas powers to keep him at bay! Hurry up and finish it!" Vikk shouts, concentrating on Ganon.
I nod and face Ganon just as Vikk collapses from exhaustion. Sword glowing I suck up all of my courage. I slash his face from left to right, and vice versa causing him to jerk his head up. And just as his head falls back down I plunge the sowed between his eyes, blood spurting out and covering his face and my sword and clothing. I turn my head and wince, getting squeamish at the blood. I pull out the sword and Ganon makes a horrific sound before rearing up and collapsing to the ground for one last time. I stand there panting heavily and just staring on in disbelief. I did it.
Ganon returns to Ganondorf and we appear back in front of the portal. But now all the lights are shining and the portal is green instead of purple.
~Vikk's P.O.V.~
I sigh before uncontrollable laughter starts to tumble from my mouth. Lachlan laughs along with me and before long were in tears. Why we're laughing, I don't really know. But I do know we laugh until the sun begins to set a few minutes later.
"W-we did it Vikk..." Lachlan breathes, wiping a tear from his cheek.
"Well it was you that really pulled it off in the end." I add, nudging him with my elbow.
Our attention is turned back to the portal and with a smile on each of our faces we step through the green portal for the very last time. I don't really know why I'm thinking this but... I'm actually gonna miss this place.
~~~
Later...
"Vikk? Vikk wake up!"
Groaning inwardly I slowly open my eyes. As they focus I notice I'm on the floor in Lachlan's house. He's kneeling beside me and shaking me gently. He sits back as I push myself up. I smile, recalling our previous events.
"We're back Vikk!" Lachlan laughs, embracing me.
"Y-yeah I guess we are..." I murmur, returning the action.
Then Lachlan's phone starts buzzing. He pulls away and picks it up.
"Hello? ... Yeah it's really me. ... Vikk is here too. I'll put you on speaker." Lachlan says as he pushes the speaker button down and sets the phone on the ground.
"Vikk?" A familiar voice rings throughout the phone.
"Preston? Is that you?"
"Yeah! Rob, Mitch, and Jerome are here with me... Are you guys Okay? We haven't been able to get a hold of you for a week now! Everyone was really worried and all of your fans are freaking out!"
Lachlan looks at me, mimicking my shocked expression. 'Were we really gone that long?' I mouth. He shrugs before nodding.
"Well ah... You might not believe me but... *Insert detailed explanation of everything that happened here*" Lahclan recalls.
"Wow dude... Your right... I'm not sure if I do believe you."
"Well..." I drawl on, glancing at Lachlan, "Let's just say...
Anything is possible."
~End~
