Edward Cullen was taking his nightly walk when a strange man bumped into him. He smelled the blood on him and read his thoughts. Immediately, the young cold one immediately rushed to Persephone's home to see her bleeding out on the floor. The young girl had managed to move a little, holding hands with both her parents as she bled. Time is running out, reading her fading thoughts. Edward Cullen knew Persephone Hope wasn't ready to die.

So Edward bit her, but it was too late. She was losing her life as each second passed. Unsure if it worked, Edward picked her up and rushed to Carlisle's. But not before grabbing the diamond necklace around Veronica Hope's neck.

Carlisle and Esme were panicked when their son rushed in holding a young teenager. But quickly comforted him seeing how panicked he looked.

Persephone Hope's translation was odd. Very strange. She woke up after only two days but showed human characteristics despite being a vampire now. Persephone was special, it seemed she was only half-vampire. The young girl could eat human food, sleep, cry, and didn't have red blood eyes. 

At first, the doctor thought, that was her gift. Human traits. But they soon discovered, she's able to compel both humans and vampires into doing what she asked.

Persephone and Edward share a very close relationship, at least Esme and Carlisle hoped they were mates. But that never happened, instead became like siblings.

However, Persephone did get her revenge. With the help of Edward. They found her parents killed and took back her family heirlooms. That was Persephone's first and only kill.

Later, Rosalie joined the family and Emmett came soon after. The coven continued to grow when Alice and Jasper joined them.

Centuries later, the year was 2005 and the family was located in Forks where their lives were about to change.
