"I knew it Zu!" Tahno's mother, who was getting up in age now, smacked Zuko's chest. "I always done told 'im it were gon' be her!"

"I can hardly understand you, but yes, my love, I am also very happy." Zuko smiled.

"But that's not all I am here for." Tahno suddenly bowed as far as he could without falling over. "I came to apologize. For my actions. For my words. For my selfishness. I was never really too good at apologizing, but I've had a lot of practice lately... I'm willing to drop every single inch of my ego to get you to forgive me. I want you to be a part of my life, my wife's life and--"

"Our unborn baby's life." You held your stomach, which had only just began showing.

The older woman smacked the old man's chest again, although he was stunned into non-reaction.

"We aren't promising to spend our lives by yours... we're feeling pretty transient right now... but I want your blessing to get married here, with you both by our sides."

There was a long silence. Too long. And you started to speak, until another voice interrupted you.

"Zu, if you ain't say yes in two seconds Imma--"

"Of course, my son. You will always be welcomed here as family. You are family. As is YN. We would love nothing more than to host this wonderful celebration."

 Tahno stood up and breathed out a sigh of relief as you hugged him.

"What's this I'm not invited to?" Izumi strolled in. "My baby brother's getting married and having a kid? What's with this family and not being married when they have kids."

"Ya daddy 'n I--" Her mother interrupted

"Yeah, yeah, practically married. But not actually. Tahno will be the first. And to such a looker! An accomplishment indeed, brother!" Izumi smiled and pulled the two of you into a hug. "Let me contact Iroh. He'd love to come, you know."

"Okay, Izumi." Tahno had a smile on his face.

"It suits you, you know." She looked in his eyes. "Happiness and smiles. Just like dad."

"Hey!" Zuko protested. "I smile plenty."

"Not like mom." Izumi laughed. "But I suppose we all have something to smile about now... How about we make it a royal wedding, eh? No need to hide the fact you're my brother. At this rate, there won't be benders anymore anyway..."

"Well, this could be!" You laughed and pointed to your uterus.

"Fair, fair." Izumi raised her hands in defense as Tahno looked shocked. "Don't look so surprised. You may not have been raised here, but all of the courts and all of those close to me know of you. Mom and Dad didn't keep you a secret. They merely freed you of duties that, if I'm honest, are rather annoying."

"See?" You nudged your soon-to-be husband. "They love ya. Everything is fine, Tahn. And everything will be fine."

He looked up strongly.

"You're right. And I'm going to make sure of it."
