"What's wrong with that ref?" The vendor muttered. "How is this even entertaining... Just stupid bullies."

You shrunk back, a bit ashamed to call one of the bullies your best friend.

"...Once again, Tahno sneaks in a little ice to get the upper hand. Wowzers! Those look like illegal head shots to me!"

"Tahno does what he needs to get what he wants," You murmured, jumping onto the bleacher and staring at the arena intently, contemplating trying to sneak down lower. It was pretty packed, so you weren't sure on how you'd even get a seat.

"Round two shall be decided by a tie breaker!" the squeaky voice from before announced. You squinted to watch the big screen show the coin toss.

"The Fire Ferrets win the coin toss," the referee said. "Which element do you chose?"

The team turned around and quickly discussed, then spoke to the referee

"The Fire Ferrets have chosen water as their element," the announcer said. "Tahno and Korra will go head to head, one-on-one."

You felt yourself grinning. "Tahno's gonna have a shot at this..."

"Come on, little girl! Give me your best shot!" Tahno goaded Korra."

Korra narrowed her eyes and swiftly sent a lightning fast stream of water at Tahno. He was quick to dodge, but what he missed was the second stream, coming right at his face. You sucked your teeth as you watched him take a hit to the chin: debilitating. Tahno tried to regain his form, but his vision spun and he ended up tripping outside of the ring.

"Chump." Korra scoffed smugly at him.

"That's gonna hurt tonight and tomorrow..." You shook your head. "He gon' be right mad."

"Round Two goes to the Fire Ferrets!" The announcer cheered as the Fire Ferrets high-fived and cheered for each other.

Tahno looked furious. "Let's send them to a watery grave..." he commanded.

"...One round apiece: who wants it more?" the announcer asked himself. As the bell rings, Tahno starts with a flurry of attacks while Ming blocks a water blast with an earthdisk, quickly launching a counterattack. "The Wolfbats fly out of the gates, swinging with bad intentions. The challengers are showing a lot of heart, but the champs are really starting to find their rhythm now. Can the Ferrets hang in there with the best, especially when the best are frankly getting a little help from the refs? It's all down to the final round! Mako is leaving it all in the ring, but it looks like Tahno and Ming are up to more shenanigans!"

Ming and Tahno nodded as they combined attacks.

"Oh, this has gone too far! That water had rocks in it!"

You nodded in agreement. That was a particularly aggressive attack.

"Knockout!" the referee shouted.

"Well, folks, it's a controversial call, but the Wolfbats notch a nasty knockout to win the match! For the fourth year in a row, they'll be crowned tournament champions."
